Haha, that shako picture literally made me lol. It actually doesn't look too bad, the original tan color seems to resemble the official one pretty closely. I'd really like to see more of these from you to see how they turn out. Keep up the good work! -Ryan

Very cool figs, you did a good job with the outfits. And your Vernon Dursley is awesome! The only complaint I have is that I don't like the heads on Ron and Hermione, but that's really just a matter of personal preference I guess. I prefer the heads used in the Prisoner of Azkaban sets. This is kind of making me want to put all my Harry Potter figs and my Hogwarts sets back together now...

That is absolutely amazing, and it's definitely your best creation yet. The overall look is stunning, with the interior being my favorite part. I also love how you've incorporated parts from both of the big Indy sets. There's no doubt in my mind that you'll win the contest. Again, nice work. -Ryan

Happy birthday, mate! Hope it's filled with happiness and some neat LEGO sets, of course. Ryan

Agreed, Willie and Short Round climbing up the ladder would be perfect. Other than that, this is excellent! Love the torso choice for Indy, it looks grittier than the Han Solo one that most people would use. I also love the stacked crocodiles at the bottom. Overall, good work! Ryan PS: Keep the Indy MOCs coming!

Those are very neat! They're the perfect size, and the colours you chose are very appropriate, so any of these vehicles would look good in anyone's city. My favorite is the bus, it's just too cool. Keep it up! Ryan

Why must you taunt us?! Just kidding, can't wait for the review and to see a detailed view of Ms. Harley Quinn! Ryan -
Spalko's Fate: Featuring a Crystal Skeleton (Possible Spoilers)
lego.ryan replied to SirNadroj's topic in LEGO Licensed
Your crystal skeleton and your throne put the official LEGO ones to shame. Excellent work as always, Sir Nadroj. Ryan -
This is awesome! I love seeing ancient Egyptian MOCs, and this one is no exception. My favorite part is that it has that classic LEGO feel- you weren't afraid to use red, blue, yellow, and white prominently; instead of making them accent colours, and the result is very nice. It also reminds me of the opening scene of The Mummy (1999), which is a very good thing. Keep it up! Ryan

Sets that Make Great Part Sets
lego.ryan replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I think the Dwarves' Mine set is pretty good for parts, especially for builders who use brown and grey a lot. There's tons of other useful pieces though, like the barrels, dark blue cheese slopes, gold goblets, and the stockade doors in reddish-brown. Overall, it's a really nice-looking set and it has great parts, too. Others I would mention include Race for the Stolen Treasure 7622 (bley plates and tiles, silver studs), River Chase 7625 (foliage, reddish-brown and dark brown bits, and dark green pieces ), and Troll Battle Wheel 7041 (dark brown 2x6 plates, 1x2 bley tiles). All three Hogwarts sets are pretty good parts packs too, and they all have tons of accessories. Ryan -
Awww, how sweet! The absolute best part is the guest sitting in the tub. Keep up the good work! Ryan

Very good idea! What's the blue piece on the inside, though? Ryan

Pretty cool, reminds me of a germ or some type of bacteria. Nice work!

Review: 7625 Indiana Jones - River Chase
lego.ryan replied to Wilhelm screamer's topic in LEGO Licensed
Very good for a first review! I bought this set and Jungle Duel at Target the other day (I was going to wait and buy them when I go to Downtown Disney this summer, but how could I pass up saving four bucks that I can spend on store-exclusives? ) and I have to say I absolutely love them. The amphibious vehicle (don't they call it a Duck in the movie?) is definitely my favorite LEGO vehicle I've ever built. Everything about it is wonderful- the size, the colour scheme, and it's accurate to the one in the movie. And Irina Spalko's hair is to die for. On a side note, I don't get why they made Marion's arms white in the set. The shirt underneath her vest in the movie is obviously blue. I switched the arms out for light blue ones and it looks a lot better, and it makes Marion's eyes look great. -Ryan -
That is absolutely stunning! I love the tan and yellow together, and the use of the mudguards is genius. All in all, it's a wonderful MOC and it fits perfectly with the Cafe Corner style buildings. Keep it up!

I'm embarassed... Everytime I say I'm back and should be more active, something comes up and I'm gone forever. The thing is, school's almost out for me, so I can and will be posting more actively. And I should be able to take pictures of creations and post them more easily. Glad to be back, Ryan

Currently working on remaking the Black Pearl and the Flying Dutchman, the Pearl's almost done! And she's much bigger and more movie accurate in terms of accessories, railings, etcetera. Haven't started on the Dutchman yet, seeing as I have to actually build the hull... I'll get pictures up as soon as possible after I finish them!

I like him. There's something really creepy about it, I think it's how normal the shirt is combined with how crazy the face is. Nice job! *thumbup* *thumbup*

Welcome to Eurobricks, Lord Santos! It's always good to have another Castle fan, and I can't wait to see some of your MOCs! *sweet*

For a first vignette, this is exceptionally good. I really like the atmosphere of it. Nice work! *sweet*

I'm working on my first modular town MOC, and it's about halfway finished. After seeing Dunamis's Green Grocer review, I was so inspired by it that I decided to start on my first modular MOC. I have one level and the roof left, and after that I'll be sure to post it. The tile work was a pain and the bottom part looks a lot like a Talbot's store, but all in all I really like it and I'll probably end up making some more town MOCs! I also have the start of another modular town MOC, which will probably become a very small townhouse that utilizes light blue. Can't wait to get them finished and show you guys!

Very, very cool! I like all of them, and I'd definitely buy all of them. I think it'd be nice to see a few licensed Impulse sets, but not too many. The only downside would be that if they did make licensed Impulse sets, the rarity of the licensed minifigs would go down. :-/ All in all though, nice work, BatBrick! *y*

That is one of the coolest things I've ever seen made in Lego. I love it! *wub* The minifigs, the great color scheme... all of it is just so perfect. And it's accurate, too! This is an absolutely amazing MOC. *y* *y* -Ryan

There is absolutely nothing to be disappointed about... that is one awesome MOC! I like how dark the brown is, and the pattern is really cool. Nice work! *sweet* -Ryan
