I can't say that I've ever really liked Exo-Force, but it's still sad to see the end of a theme regardless. Hopefully we'll get more classic space looking sets after 2009. :-/

Obviously I tried to keep it so the Pearl was black, dark grey, and brown, and tried to keep the Dutchman as brown and grey as possible, so it's nice to hear a compliment on it! Alas, I'm sorry you missed out on the Durmstrang ship. However, if you ever get the chance to buy it again, I recommend snatching it up. X-D Thanks! I love hearing compliments on my figs. Black Pearl 37c, Flying Dutchman 41a I've been gone for a while, but I've put my time away to good use! I present to you, the Black Pearl and the Flying Dutchman! Okay, so they're not entirely movie accurate, and neither of them have cannons, but I find I quite enjoy having them battle each other. :-D The Pearl: Loosely based on the Durmstrang Ship. It uses the Durmstrang Ship's hull, and mast design, but that's mostly it. This is probably my favorite MOC I've ever made, probably because I hold anything POTC-related close to my heart. *wub* I'll admit that it is kind of a small ship, but I've done my best to extend it as far as it can go. ;-) "Breakable" Parts include- lower deck railings, lanterns, and crows' nests. The Dutchman: Uses my three reddish-brown hull pieces from the Viking Ship. I had to decide whether or not to go brick-built or not, but I think the end result turned out pretty cool and pretty different looking. Again, it's short like the Pearl, but I've exhausted my supply of these: and these: to make the ship as long as possible. As for the captain's quarters, there's nothing inside yet, but I plan on making an organ for Davy to play. How else can he release his feelings for Calypso? :-$ "Breakable" Parts include- all the railings and the crow's nest. Also, by "breakable" I mean parts that can be blasted away when I shoot Technic cannons at them. It's really fun! :-D The entire set can be viewed here. Goodness, it's been a long time since I've been on, but I'm happy to announce I'm here to stay! The power supply on the computer in my room recently went kaput, so I haven't been too active, as you can probably tell. *wacko* However, I'm now back to MOCing and being part of the community again, and it's great to be back! I feel so stupid for this: when I was young, I ripped all of the capes I owned in half (sometimes fourths! :-|), including brown and red ones, and bent up all of my chrome silver greatswords on purpose. X-D So, so, so stupid.

I agree with you on the realism issue- but that doesn't keep them from being my favorite movies! *wub* And thanks for moving this for me, I wasn't sure if I should post it in the Your Own Creations or Pirate forum. As Axle said, it came in Elephant Caravan. I've been looking for a use for it for ages! X-D The skull came in the Pirates 4+ line, and also in Harry Potter The Graveyard Duel (which is where I got mine!) Haha, I was wondering if somebody would say anything about Elizabeth's expression! I figured since I couldn't really capture the shock on Elizabeth's face as it is in the movie, I'd try to make her clothes look as close as they could to the movie. Not to be smug, but I think I did a pretty good job! Here's a comparison: to Thanks very much! *sweet* Thank you! I really enjoying putting small details into my creations and creating figs, so it's always nice to get compliments on them! I find I enjoy the small accessory pieces and the minifigs the most in Lego. And of course, I love POTC too! :-D

In honor of Pirates 3 being released on DVD on Tuesday, I decided to make a few vignettes from the movie. Here they are! The Empress Attacked The Empress is attacked by the Dutchman, killing Sao Feng; and also making Elizabeth captain and Pirate Lord of the South China Sea. Your Half of the Bargain Tia Dalma makes sure Barbossa won't forget his half of their bargain: to release her from her human form- by turning his hand all corpse-y. "You're Mad" Captain Jack escapes from Lord Cutler Beckett's clutches by vaulting himself onto the Pearl using a cannon, and he does it all without a single drop of rum.
