42213 Ford Bronco SUV
anyUser replied to Ngoc Nguyen's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Thanks for checking and confirmation. What I tried so far: use a grey 16teeth gear 6542b instead of the red one on the axle that connects the rear axle with the fake engine. (If I remember correctly there was some finding that those have less friction in gear boxes.) This does not improve on the situation. I think it those vertical beams (steps 43, 48, and 52) are not secured sufficiently for twisting. If the grey 7M from step 43 could be replaced by {something} where the drivetrain can freely pass (e.g. without hole) it might improve. -

I'd like to ask about your play experience with the car: When I push mine forward and then do a maximum steering angle to turn I always notice a considerable increase in friction from the push. Did anybody else notice this? It was not reported in any of the most prominent reviews. My guess: there is a 7M beam with four 16tooth gear as a transmission of the rear steering towards the front. The drive shaft passes through of of the gears. When steering, this beam might twist and thus partially lead to increased friction. Yet I haven't taken the car apart to check. -
Brickset is not hosting instructions. there are only links to the (original) resources. As for the 42009 B-model example: Brickset points towards this location: https://www.lego.com/cdn/product-assets/product.bi.additional.extra.pdf/42009_X_42009 Reach Stacker 1 of 5.pdf This download startet for me a couple of minutes ago.

No. But you can fool the app during calibration of the winches by simulating earlier (= remove the load) or later (= pull the rope) end stops. I moderately extended the booms (+5 segments in total) and the winches still work with the models App. However, I did not do any serious play. If you use a different string: It might be that the apps is somehow aware of it diameter as I noticed that the cable calibration is geeting worse with extended operation. To create your own programs (sequences) there is a App called PoweredUp.

Has anybody seen information whether the new owners of Brickshelf will restore acces to user accounts and allow new uploads? I sent out an email to the given contact but got no reply. I don't feel like subscribing to the various platforms just to search for future usage of Brickshelf. -

Today is noted that brickshelf is been online again. Folder that I have added since last summer are "published". However, any user login does not seem to be allowed. -

I haven't got one assembled but built in the past. According to the photo that I took (from top) the differentials at the front and rear axles are pointing the same way. -

I think it's because your link originates from a http - Server. Today you most likely you need to run a server that does https - "protocol". -

As far as I have seen: no. A folder may have one or more keywords (from a list as well as user input) and also a description. -

About delivery time for Part orders from Lego: I placed an order for both Standard and Bestseller parts. Announced delevery time, if I remember correctly was some 6-7 weeks for Standard and 2 weeks for Bestsellers. I contacted the Customer Service mid of december to ask for the shipment dates. The Standard parts then arrived within a couple of days before christmas. For the Bestsellers parts however it took until mid of january.- 5,445 replies

Just a remark: for me, a high rating number does not correlate with the term good / better / best set. I believe that there is a lot of personal feelings going into the star-rating at brickset. Plus, few people dare to put a low rating (< 3 stars). Consider 8295 for example: Many of the (written) reviews are rather negative on the set. However, it currently has 3.6 stars (from 46 ratings).
