  1. Just noticed the small angular motor. It seems to be "temporarily out of stock" although I haven't seen it before. https://education.lego.com/en-us/products/lego-technic-small-angular-motor/45607
  2. Maybe I'll make instructions but I'm a bit afraid of pneumatic hoses. Anyway it's ok that you'd like to reverse engineer it (this could be the right thing that encourages me to make the instructions). Thank you for your support!
  3. About wheels I wrote some lines above. What about pneumatics? There simply aren't any other cylinders with this or similar range. The blue pneumatic pump wouldn't look well (and no-one sells it in my country). There are some newer buckets, though, but none of them were looking as well as the original ones. You said that's a straight rebuild with liftarms but IMO it isn't. I rebuilt it from zero and some similarity is the goal of the contest, isn't it? Anyway thank you and good luck either...
  4. Thank you! Thank you, I'm glad you like it. Thx. I agree that it'd be nice to have some modern wheels but all of the tried ones look weird or too wide. Thanks to everyone who has participated in this contest. It brought great memories from the past! Good luck to all of you.

  6. Hello everybody! I made a video presenting functions (not the best one but still could be much worse :) Thank you for watching.
  7. I also noticed that. I think that's better than four screws, though...
  8. Yes, I'd also like to see this model with tractor tires. Anyway it's impossible for me to get them before the contest ends, because next Wednesday my 3-week holiday is about to start so I need to finish this model until this Sunday.
  9. I think I'll keep these ones. From modern wheels, I'd have to choose some balloon ones and none of them fit the rear axle without some drastic modifications (and they look too wide IMO).
  10. From cranks this and this parts are best for operating (from tried ones) but they're missing the round shape...
  11. Seemed to be a good idea until I tried it. It's not very comfortable, though.
  12. Some little progress here: The model is almost completed, only the hood isn't yet and I also need to decide whether use LBG or black knobs (rather LBG as the original does). The internal mechanisms have been slightly reworked to get more space for driver's seat.
  13. Well, 2WD is very disappointing and stickers instead headlights are just awful!
  14. Although it looks very similar, it doesn't have much in common with the original one. Anyway, to be instantly recognizable and all-new at once is the goal of the contest, isn't it? Some panels will be definitely used for the roof and hood.
  15. So here's current progress. Some parts still haven't arrived (such as front bucket and wheels and some other ones).
  16. Here's progress with the rear section. The turntable is now driven via its gearing, not through an axle in the centre. The turntable's gearing has been already reworked once more, so the pictures don't show the latest version. The problem with outriggers has been solved either, though.
  17. Maybe I haven't written it before but I definitely don't want just to rebuild the original set with studded bricks changer to liftarms. In my opinion this'd be a bit boring. In the pictures above there's only a sketch built according to the original instructions. I made it because I want to figure out how the original functions are placed and than I'll start building a new chassis from zero :)
  18. Yes, that's my intention. I also ordered the original buckets. I already have an idea to do that. I chose these 32T perpendicular gears from two reasons: 1) They were in the original set, 2) I have them for a few past years and neve used them :) Anyway modern gearing could be better, though. This is also a great idea but I'm sure that there's not enough space for that at he moment. Right point! Anyway I'd probably not add any new functions such as a pendular front axle (which wouldn't be difficult) because I want to keep the original (maybe improved) functionality. Some reinforcement is surely on the way, but first of all I'd like to build the set as close as possible (to know where what connects) and then I'll surely add make it more rigid.
  19. Hello everybody! For this contest I've chosen my favourite Technic set of all times - the Backhoe grader 8862. Here's its WIP topic: And yes, the outriggers can already lift the vehicle: Thank you for visiting!
  20. Exactly! Hope it'll start soon. I my opinion, if more than one person were rebuilding the same set, it could lead to copying some parts of the build or the whole build with some minor changes.
  21. Is it allowed to choose any studded technic model? For example what if someone will choose the same set and starts to build it before me? Would I have to choose another?
