  1. Love the part selection! Nice work!
  2. I love the mashup! Well done!
  3. CROSSHAIR My second release in the buildable figure series from The Bad Batch. The scale of the figure is the same as my other moc of Tech. These are both done in the same scale as the official buildable Harry Potter buildable figures by LEGO. I'm really happy with how the sniper rifle and the helmet came out. I plan on creating the Clone Force 99 version of Crosshair as well. Hunter, Echo and Wrecker are also in the works. Specifications: Pieces: 1178 pieces Height: 11.8 inches / 29.8 cm Width: 7.5 inches 19 cm Length: 7.5 inches 19 cm
  4. Hey Digital, a few posts back Lego-tactics reported a small issue with the cables. Like you, I also purchased the kit in the first few hours of the release and received a shorter cable. It sounds like Mirko is already on top of the issue and is getting a list of people who ordered from BrickStuff. Either Brickstuff or Mirko will send out the wire directly from those that purchased (so that's awesome). You should be able to build a good portion of the model before getting to the part that requires the longer wire as you need to install the lighting kit as you build. Should still be well worth any potential wait. :)
  5. I'm not familiar with this tool but it sounds interesting. I did a quick lookup on the thread and there is however some concern about affiliate links. I would caution both of you to read up on the Terms of Service to that app before recommending it to people. There is questions as to whether or not you can disable the affiliate links and or if you still get credit for purchases through the LEGO VIP program when clicking links from affiliates. While I think there's a feature to disable that, I wouldn't blind trust that at face value.
  6. The LEGO pick a brick site is a manual process. If I were you and you have the official bomber released by LEGO, start adding those parts to the list of parts you have. Next, go through your own inventory (assuming you don't want all new parts). After you go through your own parts, you can use the pick a brick website to identify parts from the wanted list. Pick A Brick online doesn't have all the pieces. In some cases the parts are not reproduced anymore or they are simply sold out. After you go through pick a brick, be incredibly methodical about the parts you have vs what you need. Also be very careful about the color names on the Pick A Brick website compared to BrickLink or Rebrickable. For example - Medium Stone Gray is really Light Bluish Gray. If you're feeling brave, you can use the Lost Bricks and Pieces to find more rare parts. But this requires you to know which part the set came from and it limits you on the number of parts you can purchase based on the set they came with. This is a good alternative to finding parts that may be "sold out" on the pick a brick online. Then, buy the remaining pieces on BrickLink. It sounds way harder than it actually is. Buying bulk on LEGO for parts that requires large quantities of parts (2 x 2 curves for example) are almost always cheaper on the Pick a Brick wall online. Plus, if you order is over 35 - you can take advantage of free shipping. You can also earn VIP points on your order. (This excludes missing bricks and pieces however). If you have questions, feel free to ask.

  8. Quick question. Does the lighting kit need to be installed as you are building, or can it be installed after the build. I would imagine some people may wait to purchase the kit, but in doing so may have issues adding the lighting kit after the model is already built. I went ahead purchased the kit as I didn't want to take a chance that I wouldn't be a ke to easily add it after the build. Figured I would ask so others that were thinking about adding the kit later as it might not be easy to do.
  9. Nice work Karma! I'm glad you enjoyed the build and I sincerely thank you for supporting my work. Hopefully Tech won't be to lonely waiting for his friends to be built! I'll be working on those in the coming months.
  10. This is such a cool post for me. When I stumble across photos or people are who kind enough to show off my work or are just proud to have my build in their collection. Just a cool sense of pride. Thanks you all for the support!
  11. Thanks for your understanding! Looks like you're almost finished! Be sure to tag @brickwarsnet on instagram or facebook! :)
  12. @karmajay I just figured out what the issue is. And you are absolutely right. My instructions are calling for part 4859, when in reality, I'm using part 48183. I'll be sure to update that in the parts list and my sincere apologies the mistake! If you don't have the parts handy and need to place a bricklink order for them, please let me know the cost and I'd be happy to pay for them!
  13. Awesome Karma! The printed tiles will ship out on Monday Sept 27th! They arrived late from the print company I use, but are scheduled to arrive via courier on Sunday the 26th.
  14. Thank you! And thanks for your consideration with my build!
  15. I'm hoping after doing a few other of clone Force 99's helmets, I'll get ideas on how to accomplish his.
  16. Ha - Thank you! The idea of buildable figs came from the Official Harry Potter and Hermione Grander releases; I had no interest in them but thought the concept was interesting. Started exploring ideas and started with Tech. The helmet can't be removed, however the visor can go up or down, but I chose to use a hinge to hold it in place. I figured most people will display it that way. The stripe was an interesting detail as I used both the actual Tech minifig and the Black series for reference. It was s three stripe pattern but I just to simplify it. I think it turned out well. Thank you! I'm really happy with how it turned out. Looking forward to doing Hunter next.
  17. Thank you! I really appreciate the compliment. My initial "doodle" (that's what I'll call it) looked nothing like my finished product, but the ideas was there. The helmet took several iterations and some trial and error. Eventually I just had to choose which version I liked best! The blasters and the backpack are some of my favorite details in addition to the helmet.
  18. MOC-TECH I'm pleased to share my first buildable figure MOC of Tech from Star Wars: The Bad Batch. Instructions are available as a digital download through my website at BrickWars.net. Optional printed parts (eyes and Clone Force 99 emblem) are also available. I spent the about three months working on Tech off and on and got motivated to finish when I was asked to present my buildable figure and my other UCS MOC - The Resistance Troop Transport Ship at Brick Universe in St. Louis, MO. The rest of Clone Force 99 is coming in Winter 2021/2022. Specifications: Pieces: 1147 pieces Height: 11.8 inches / 29.8 cm Width: 7.5 inches 19 cm Length: 7.5 inches 19 cm
  19. I'm not gonna say I told you so ... :) But it's still going to be an amazing build.
  20. I'll say this - I became obsessed with making sure I put it together because the instructions called for it and I wanted to build it exactly as Mirko designed it. However, unless you have a room / shelf space that makes it easy to turn on or off, it's not something you'll use a whole lot. It definitely has that wow factor, but unless you are goin to be having guest over or have a show room that people can appreciate, where turning it off an on is accessible, it's probably something you'll barely turn on. My MOC is on a display shelf as it's so large, but it would be a hassle to try and turn it on. If it was more accessible (my MOC on the shelf - as it's easy to take the cover off the moc and turn it on) than I might turn it on more.
  21. When I purchased the TS-Project over a year ago, it took me months and months to get a response from Lygod about the lighting kit. It's not Mirko's fault as LEGO purchased BrickLink.com and banned 3rd party lighting kits on the site shortly after Mirko released his book. That means the distribution of those lighting kits was now more difficult. I was persistent with my emails and eventually was emailed back when they were in stock again. I quickly ordered one and received it in the mail a few weeks later. I know it's frustrating, but don't give up. @StarBricks might be able to shed some light on what's going on with them as the link on the website is still referenced there. If they were no longer available, I'm sure Mirko would provide some correspondence - he's really good about that.
