  1. I am also curious what the process is for becoming a Pilot? I believe it says to email @StarBricks with a picture of the finished piece in addition to the unique number.
  2. I have ordered his book and it got from Italy to the Midwestern United States in 8 days. US Express Pack is incredibly reliable.
  3. Shipping costs are expensive yes but I kind of already expected that as I live in the States. I've ordered several international items since June 15th and all have taken about 12 - 15 days to arrive. Some of them have been from Italy. Mirko's @StarBricksinstructions in my opinion are well worth it (in addition to any shipping costs). Not only does he make a custom build. He then reverse engineers and creates instructions to replicate the build. Then goes through a rigorous QA process to make sure the build is actually correct. Then shoots amazing photography work as well as lays out an entire manual. He also works with a 3rd party company to incorporate lighting kits that are specifically built to go with it. Then after all that's finished, he has to get quotes to print the instructions and pay those upfront costs associated to it. He does all this so he can recover his costs and time to produce such an amazing build and make money to support his family and his hobby. I know people have wanted digital PDFs of his instructions but to me it protects from piracy as well as creates something a little bit more authentic. I can hold the instructions in my hand as well as display it next to the piece I've created as they are incredibly well done.
  4. I feel like this is a breaking news alert! Sounds awesome. :)
  5. I very much agree! Finding the parts is the thrill of the hunt! I recently acquired my last piece for Papaglops Star Wars Mandalorian Razorcrest. Knowing I hunted down all the pieces makes me appreciate the build that much more.
  6. Hey Yeazzik! There is a person / company that sources the bricks for many popular MOCs. If you visit https://www.facebook.com/BrickMoonMOCs (Brick Moon) he sources the parts and also includes the instructions from the MOC makers. I know Brick Moon sourced parts for MIRKOs TS Project and included a copy of the actual instructions. I could be wrong, but Brick Moon may very well do that for the SB Project (Resistance Bomber) well. It's a great option for people who just want to build and don't have time to source all the pieces themselves. Just know you will be paying a premium for that service. Brick Moon does an awesome job if you're interested in other MOCS. His website lists the projects he sources as well as prices in Euros. https://www.brickmoon.de/
  7. Thanks for the update Mirko!
  8. Mirko is really good about responding. Sometimes it takes longer than usual depending on what he's working on. The first time I contacted him, it took a few days, but he did reach back out to me. Sometimes unfortunately, your mail may be filtered as spam because of international correspondence. When he responded to me, his mail was sent to my spam folder (but I quickly white listed him so that wouldn't happen with any future correspondence).
  9. If I had to guess - the issue that is holding up the Resistance Bomber is the lighting Kit. Let me explain my theory. I purchased the TS-Project and trying to get the lighting kit proved to be quite difficult. The issue with BrickLink.com was the store they were being sold from was shut down do to the fact that LEGO purchased Bricklink. Shortly after, BrickLink (AKA LEGO) also banned stores that were selling 3rd party lighting kits. So for people who purchased the TS Project instructions, they were not able to get the LyGod kit in the manner described in the instructions. That was probably very frustrating because of all the planning that went into the production and printing of the materials (in addition to the lighting kits); only to find out the store for purchasing the lighting kits was closed. Based on the pictures of the Resistance Bomber on starbricks.net and what I believe Mirko also said himself in other posts, is that if you were going to install the lighting kit on his Bomber, you would have to do so as you were putting the Bomber together. This means Mirko probably wants the lighting kits available for purchase in addition to the instructions. Customers would be disappointed if they bought the instructions, procured all the parts and the lighting kit wasn't available. That was my experience with the TS Project. I was disappointed I couldn't get the lighting kit right away. Luckily for the TS Project, you can install the lighting kit even after the build is completed. Also consider the fact that the lighting kit is specific for this build and the instructions / pieces to include the lighting kit are probably very specific and done so in a very particular order. That is my guess as to why it is taking so long for the bomber to be completed. We know Mirko is working on it because he's made post about "reverse engineering" some of his build to make it more cost effective. While I"m anxious, I'm also appreciate of the time being put into it, especially to make sure it's till cost effective. For example, I just completed procuring all the parts for @papaglop 's build of the Razorcrest. That build was so popular parts, several more rare parts skyrocketed. So making sure the MOC is built in a cost effective way with as few of rare pieces as possible is really appreciated.
  10. I was also able to get the LyGod Lighting Kit. It is currently being shipped to me (although it might take a while since I live in the US). But IT IS on it's way! :)
  11. I've reached out and am currently waiting a reply. When I got a response a week ago, the gentlemen let me know they were on back-order but expected more in about a week. Since it has been a week - I went ahead and emailed. If anyone hears anything, please let the group know! :) Also, @StarBricks I completed your build. How do get my name added to your website as a pilot! I thought the custom sticker was a pretty nice touch. I took a picture of it with my custom sticker! You can find my build photos here! 12. So excited to finally get started on this build. Took me a while to procure all the pieces but looking forward to getting this together. Disappointed I haven't been able to procure the LyGod lighting system described in the instructions but totally not Mirko's fault! BrickLink was sold to Lego and they seem to have outlawed 3rd party lighting kits.
  13. I was curious if anyone has any recommendations on another Lighting Kit for this MOC. I have been unable to get LyGod to respond to my previous emails and I would really like to get a lighting kit installed for this moc. Has anyone tried any other light kits that might work? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  14. @Rexamusclydefrog I completely agree with you. I'm about 75% of the way through sourcing all the parts. I sourced 51% of them through my own inventory. I've been visiting a local Lego shop and twice a week and I've sourced the other 24% there. I found the 8 x 8" inverted black dish on BrickLink.com for $2.89, added to my cart and shopped for some other items on my list - went to checkout and the dish had been sold already. The cheapest I've found it is $13.00 + $5.00 to ship it to me. I figured sense that's in the later part of the build, I'm okay with not having it right away. I also checked Lego.com for that part and it is out of stock there as well. I What I did find is a seller on FaceBook marketplace that is selling the Offical Lego version of the Tie Silencer which should have the Round Dish in addition to some of the other pieces that are only available through this set. That's also what Mirko recommended to do in the instructions as well. This is the first time I've put the a MOC together and I think Mirko has set the bar really high for what I've come to expect for instructions. Also, I wanted to let other people know that I received a response from LyGod about the lighting kit a few weeks back. This is what they wrote to me. <c...f@gmail.com> Mon, Feb 24, 9:53 AM to infolygod Hello There, I was curious how I would go about finding the price / ordering information so I can purchase the LYGOD Lighting Kit for the TG Project from Star Bricks. I went to your site on BrickLink - but it said it was suspended for violating terms of service. Do you still sell the lighting kits? Is there a website I go to in order to purchase them? Thank you for your time, Sincerely, Corey Lygod Wed, Feb 26, 9:59 AM to me Good afternoon, we have a lighting kit available, but as the Bricklink site no longer allows us to sell items that are not Lego, we are organizing to activate a new sales channel. As soon as the new channel is available, we will inform you. Best regards, The Lygod Staff
