______________ Congratulations! Yesterday I recieved my Batcopter and Battank in the mail, which was awesome. Both are great sets, and Bane *wub* ............... It was also the last day before break, but I stayed home anyway, I've been pretty sick lately. I also watched a bit of Batman: The Animated Series, ate some Kentucky Fried Chicken, and watched Scarecrow's head glow-in-the-dark. Wow! I really need to get a life! Nothing to Say, but Batbrick Away! >:-)

___________ Would that make three? Skellie Building ON! Nothing to say, but Batbrick Away! >:-)

__________ Sure thing, I have yet to see it, but many lucky mainlanders are buying it now. I've heard its a rather well-priced and cheap set though, which is good. And don't you go wanting shippings from Aus, we didn't even get the SSA! :'-( Nothing to Say, but Batbrick Away! >:-) -
Welcome aboard to this lovely community! Have a great time! *sweet* Nothing to say, but Batbrick Away! >:-)

_________ BLASPHEMY! :-P X-D An awesome WIP there mutley777, you've definitely captured the spherical look and scale of the ion cannon. Can it actually turn? Anyway, I'm really looking forward to seeing more of this, do you plan on making the trenches and all? Nothing to Say, but Batbrick Away! >:-)

_________ Apparently it is now, I can't wait to get it! :'-) Nothing to Say, but Batbrick Away! >:-) -
___________ Yes, I think you are right about bringing into the mainstream, it certaintly has brought back a lot of love for superheroes. That said, while it is losing my interest gradually, It seems to be of a far higher quality than "Lost", as it has story arcs which ACTUALLY end, and new ones that begin. That, and characters don't just die all the time unneccasarily. ___________ ___________ Fair enough, but I love taking my lego out onto my kitchen table, and making Bane break Batman's back while i eat my cornflakes X-D ___________ ___________ Really? Most people think its a little...........off. Nothing to Say, but Batbrick Away! >:-)

____________ I'm a bit the same, but the opposite. I can't draw cartoons or such, but am pretty good at drawing realistic looking settings. That said, I think the crayon (or pencil?) use here works much better than ink, gives it a nice texture I think. And perspective is something that is REALLY hard, I tried drawing the joker once, holding a joker card to the screen, made it just look like he had giant hands :-$ But I think its a lot better than you make it out to be, minigfigs are hell to draw, for me anyway. ____________ You could always do what I do and hang it from the roof ;-) I have my giant passenger plane, fafnir dragon, ofnir dragon and air ambulance all above my head, and it works fine! Nothing to Say, but Batbrick Away! >:-)

Thanks for the pic! *sweet* I love this set, it looks like natelite WAS correct about the balance! Sad to see its limited edition, I hate S@H orders, but if thats what I gotta do to get this set, I'm willing! Wait till iamded sees this then, he'll flip! X-D Nothing to Say, but Batbrick Away! >:-)

__________ ARRGH! The pun! I guess I did walk right into that one....... My only problem now for the battank is replacing all that yellow, I have quite a few technic peices from my bionicle days, but not enough of the specific ones :'-( Also, I wonder, if we do get another set as I've been wildly speculating, if it might instead be a UCS set again. I would love to see the Batwing or another Batmobile like that, but probably would rather see more figs. Speaking of which, do you have the UCS Batmobile Brainbox? If so, is it any good? There are a couple at my local Myers going now, for a very handsome price. With christmas coming up I might just give in to temptation. Nothing to Say, but Batbrick Away! >:-)

I would say the trouble has sub-sided now. Not all the posters in those threads were "kids" or "military freaks", but just people that wanted to create their own armies and show them to the rest of EB. The spammy threads have been locked now, and all the chat is confined to one thread, so there shouldn't be much trouble, as many people including me are currently figuring out how to organise it. I apoligise for the trouble, but it seems the forum has returned now, with some great reviews on the postal plane and holiday house, as well as some impressive town mocs :-) I also think that this sudden burst should be considered a good thing that just got off to a shaky start, as it is a great idea, but little did we realise the popularity behind it. I apoligise again for this, and hope I haven't seemed rude, but I just think that a couple of hectic days shouldn't call for drastic changes nor further arguing, as this would only, In my opinion atleast, escalate a problem that is already being reigned under control :-) Nothing to Say, but Batbrick Away! >:-)

Sorry Brainbox, I should have commented on this ages ago :-$ I'm a bit of an on/off fan of the series, I see it going to much down the "lost" road for my tastes frankly. However, Hiro was one of the reasons I still watch the show occasionally while its on, seeing as he's my favourite character, real comic-book stuff. The head you have chosen could not have been better in my opinion, it suits him perfectly. The use of a lego rubber band is rather sly, and the much needed addition of the katana (Sword of Takezo Kensei, if you wish) adds a lot to the appeal of the fig. Nice torso choice too. Onto the Hair, I personally believe that this hair would be much more effective than the Harry Potter big hair, seeing as that is more "boofy" while Hiro's is more spiky. Honestly, neither will end up perfect from my view, but this is the better choice (despit the fact you had no choice at all ;-) ). Overall, I couldn't care less about a little extra hair, as it fits him anyway. An excellent fig all-round. Oh, and about you watching the finale with him, don't worry, you're not alone in that creepy way, I keep watching Batman movies with Batfig, and Starwars with little Darth Vader :-$ Nothing to Say, but Batbrick Away! >:-)

___________ But it was good for a rant and a laugh :-D Nothing to Say, but Batbrick Away! >:-)

___________ Thats a good one, even though I never really cared for the story, it had it's moments. ___________ ___________ No need for apoligies, I'll probably be the one to apoligise when I turn out wrong :-$ But thanks for the permission, I love that mod, as you stated, it really turned it into a 'heavy batmobile" for large scale riots and destruction. And breaking the fourth wall does sound cooler X-D Hopefully these sets turn in a fourth wave too, seeing as it looks like pretty every character so far has been done twice (bar a few) we would no doubt see a wave of new ones. Nothing to Say, but Batbrick Away! >:-)

____________ He He, yeah, and if you're anything like me (and pray that you're not! X-D ) you've been checking constantly to see if he has any new castle sets! :-D Yes, the stickers are a bummer, stuff like Exo-Force having stickers is good, but not this *n* Overall though, an awesome little set. ____________ ____________ I don't get it though, you have the current policestation, and want two of the new policestastions, as well as multiples of police cars and such, but don't have use for a postal plane? :-D Your city's economy must be on the edge with all that police forces :-P Nothing to Say, but Batbrick Away! >:-)

___________ Yes, those Batman comics are pretty good, I especially like Bane running toward the viewer. And about the headpeices, I did see that most were not "real", but what i meant was that you have done a brilliant job of portraying them in Lego form. ___________ _________ Yeah, thats what you've done perfectly in this drawing of yours, you've given them an organic, living look, but still remaining just rigid and confined enough to cross both worlds, a very tricky thing to accomplish as I've tried. A very good job then *y* ___________ ___________ Mine will be hard X-D Or will it? Batsy was the only Batman character I could never draw....... Anyway, a very talented work there Brainbox, I hope to see more from you in the future. Nothing to Say, but Batbrick Away! >:-)

__________ She-Hulk's fourth wall breaks were always too blatant for me, I prefer the subtle, winking at the audience thing. I don't think Mxys counts anyway, seeing as he's from the fifth dimension and all. And yes, I'm pretty sure that these sets are in the second half of 08, which pleases me, seeing as I'm still chasing after Arkham and soon even more great sets will be released. Atleast my Battank and Batcopter arrived today, and I must say I have really fallen in love with the batcopter *wub* (even more for the Battank) and Bane is simply superb. I still have to mod them, Brainbox, do you mind if I took your mods of the Battank as inspiration? Anyway, I'm still holding out for a fifth set, I reckon we'll be seeing a Gotham PoliceStation or wayne Manor some time. Nothing to Say, but Batbrick away! >:-)

Question: do people buy you LEGOs as gifts?
Batbrick replied to Medievalego's topic in General LEGO Discussion
__________ Awwwww *wub* ........... What a nice story, me and my brothers and sisters used to play "shops" when we were young, building and "selling" cars and stuff using 1x2 plates as money :-D We had great fun, and we all used to play with each other's lego and give each other stuff like that for christmas :'-) Then they grew up and I didn't! :-D We still have fun though. Nothing to Say, but Batbrick Away! >:-) -
__________ I don't think it has archenemy, I think that was me mentioning it in the holiday house thread :-$ That said, I love this little set, a real beauty! *wub* Glad to see we were wrong in assuming that the top couldn't open too. Too bad about the mail being just a sticker, but atleast we get that awesome mailman torso! :'-) And the areoplane itself is very nice, great to see TLC continuing 4-wide planes. Nothing to Say, but Batbrick Away! >:-)

Another beautiful mech from the master of mechs! *wub* You have done a brilliant job with keeping this one in with the fabuland look LuxorV, like Hinckley said, the pots on the thighs are hilarious and ingenious :-D The use of large slopes as Walrus teeth is very effective, my one criticism is that I wish there was a bit more head ontop of the teeth. The feet are definitely my favourite part, very well-designed and in keeping with our Tasmanian Walrus friend (who lives two hours from me ;-) ) I also really like the use of a trans-blue aquazone cockpit *y* Nothing to say, but Batbrick Away! >:-)

Batbrick replied to Medievalego's topic in General LEGO Discussion
____________ What? You have a member of your family who actually wants to make lego with you? *wacko* Unheard of for me! You must be lucky! Everyone in my family just keeps saying "thats cool!" over and over again when I show them my lego. My eighteen year old sister did that today with the Battank |-/ Nothing to Say, but Batbrick Away! >:-) -

A very neat drawing there Brainbox. I tried drawing lego figs once and found out it's actually surprisingly hard! :-$ And I was just drawing cartoony ones and the batman figs, not real people. You've done an excellent job of the different hairstyles, and the drawing style gives them a sense of being alive, while at the same time keeping the iconic look of a minifig. Do you plan on giving it to all of them? Or photocopying it? A great job overall, now if only Lego would release a minifig scale I-Pod 8-| ......... Nothing to Say, but Batbrick Away! >:-)
