  1. My concern with a potential greek mythology theme is that they would go the Monkey Kid route and have it be a Percy Jackson-esque theme where it's Greek myths imported into in the modern era. If they were able to keep the 'figs and some of the builds looking like they could fit in a historic context, I'd be more okay with it. But I really don't have any interest in a theme where Hercules is running around in a hoodie and Nikes
  2. New female head on instagram that might be from Monkey Kid (only other theme I see it working for is Ninjago). Not really that familiar with Journey to the West, so I don't know if it'd fit any specific characters.
  3. I'm almost positive they'll be printed, since all 26 are the exact same. That'd be a lot of stickers, even by LEGO's standards.
  4. The box looks great IMO. As long as the back has plenty of photos of the actually set, I’m all for seeing more stuff like it. The direction reminds me a lot of Hidden Side sets, with a very stylized front rather than a direct set photo.
  5. Hopefully the Sea Base isn't like the 2015 one and doesn't devote a substantial part of the set to a secondary build. With the last one the base itself felt really bare and incomplete
  6. Star Wars in theory could work with only being completely new minifigs (and possibly characters that only exist in the mismatched CW style) for at least a few waves and not rely on variations of existing characters. The question is more would LEGO decide not to include a whole bunch of repeat characters like Anakin/Luke/Rey in it. Though the biggest thing that worries me about a potential Star Wars CMF is the possibility of them raising the price even higher than the $5/per, which is already pretty ridiculous. While they do that quite often, the characters they add still usually stick to characters associated with that movie/show (Ahsoka being in an Umbara set or the assorted bounty hunters in the Slave 1s) so it'd be a good way to introduce characters from media outside the three main trilogies that would be difficult to stick into random sets or characters that would otherwise take a while for LEGO to prioritize including in sets over the main characters.
  7. Didn't even notice that the Great White doesn't have those dumb angry eyes until it was mentioned (didn't look at the eyes closely because I just kinda assumed it would have them). That, along with having the dual color body, puts it miles ahead of the last large shark. Now if that was only the norm...
  8. That shark is... Not at all what I was expecting Looks just like the regular shark color + printing except with a tiny bit of green around the eyes
  9. Maybe Boga is the one flying the Soulless One
  10. I'm so excited to see if this leads anywhere. Would love to see some sort of biome themed sets come from this. Each set could focus on a different biome and include a combination of new animal molds and/or new colorations/prints of existing molds with the builds themselves being habitat scenery. And they could include a pamphlet with educational information about the real life flora/fauna depicted in that set. Like the natural history museum dioramas, but not boxed in.
  11. The new Harley kind of reminds me of her design from the new animated show, except with an added jacket. Obviously it isn't directly based on the show so it's probably the closest we'll get .
  12. Holy crap, that helmet is perfect. Visor is actually part of the mask and has headlight printing. Only way I could be happier is if it comes in multiple colors.
  13. Love that Sea Nymph! The hair piece is perfect. Also if your Nessie ever made it into a real fig, it’d probably be my favorite minifig
  14. Though I've never been that interested in a 501st Battle Pack, the set is pretty nice and I'm honestly happier we got this rather than a traditional battle pack because of the better builds. The AT-RT and BARC speeders look great and the inclusion of a Jet Trooper is definitely welcome.
  15. The new helmet piece reminds me of modern dive helmets in shape https://cdn3.volusion.com/ghqkt.ccqsw/v/vspfiles/photos/500-050-2.jpg?v-cache=1450354073 Similar to this, but in red. Though too bad that there doesn’t appear to be any printing or dual molding. The sting ray is amazing though. Hopefully they’re very generous with these animal molds in the sets.
  16. Been rereading the Doctor Aphra comics and decided to design a couple of my fav characters in minifig form. So here's Chelli Aphra and Magna Tolvan: Probably should have used a different hair for Tolvar, but For reference: Thinking of doing her assassin droids, 0-0-0 and BT-1, next.
  17. True. But at the time the original Clone Wars waves were being released, the designers weren’t working with the whole story and for the most part wouldn’t have known which non-main characters would have appeal or not. But now, the popularity (and desire for figs) of these characters has grown immensely. Whenever I see people talk about favorite characters from CW, the clones like Jesse and Fives are almost always somewhere to be found.
  18. My guesses (combination of expectations and some wishlisting) are: Interceptor - Anakin (possibility dark red/navy CW outfit), R2-D2, and Padme w/ a new outfit (ex. her wedding dress) AT-RT: Fives, Waxer, Phase II 501st, Phase II 212th, and 2 B1s (slightly inspired by the Umbara arc) AAT - Super Tactical Droid, some combination of B1s/B2s, Ahsoka (likely S7 design) and 332nd Rex or generic 332nd (I know timeline doesn’t make sense for them fighting Separatists, but that hasn’t stopped Lego before) Souless One: Grievous, Obi-Wan, and honestly still think it will turn out to be Phase II Cody. Only way I see I can see them justifying a $80 Soulless One.
  19. With a different eye print (and probably a less pastel color), the new sea horse could totally fit into a non-Friends theme. Would be nice to see a few variations in the upcoming City sets.
  20. Dang, that anglerfish would be great if real.
  21. I'm going to guess its an orc/troll from Ninjago. Fits much better with the skeletons and goblins we've seen from that than anything we've seen from Monkey Kid.
  22. I'm thinking it's going to be a Clone Wars S7 tie in, since the other summer sets seem like they’re just going to either be prequel trilogy or non-season specific CW sets (though there were AATs in the trailer so maybe not). The Havoc Marauder seems like a solid choice since we've known the Bad Batch would be in season 7 and knew the ship’s design for a few years now or maybe the Nightbrother (Maul's Gauntlet fighter that was in Rebels and the comics) since it will most likely appear in some capacity during the Siege of Mandalore.
  23. The list childish_landino_chronicles posted had 75291 listed as an "unknown store exclusive" releasing in August.
  24. The grey ghost that was leaked looks like a statue possessed by the gloom. Possible inclusion in the castle or prison sets?
  25. True. Would be a great way to get the piece made since we never got Captain Cutler in the actual Scooby Doo line, but I doubt in reality we'll actually get something much different from the City theme divers. I can dream though
