Which combination do you think works best?
Captain Green Hair replied to Gen. Knowledge's topic in LEGO Pirates
I like the white trousers tan pith the best. But 'm with boney here, the pith looks much better on the redcoat's torso. Have you considered making them like this?: I think the hats made out of wheels would look really cool, and gives a bit of variet next to the pith helmets. Looking forward to seeing that army of yours! -

Wow, what a great remake! I wish TLC would make 'm like this in the possible new line. The barrel appears to made out off 4 hockepucks, those are 2x2 studs and just as thin...

Ha, it kinda reminds me of a Spanish holiday villa. Felt a warm wind while looking at it (it's a bloody storm out here) It might look better withe the walls in one color, but the layout, the garage and swimming pool are real nice touches! Keep on building!

I see Yoda, it usually takes a second to change. I'll close this up

Unfortunatly that doesn't stick to the bricks very well, i tried, but it came off easily.

Permanent markers are the best way to go i think. Like a Pilot marker or a Uni Posca one, the red is a pretty standard color. Good luck! Now where is that spidey?

MOC: German BR 22 Steam Engine
Captain Green Hair replied to Captain Green Hair's topic in LEGO Town
Thanks, but no Hogwarts in my house please Thanks, don't know how many pieces went in. I roughly estimate it at 1.000. I think i spend about 30 hours on it. Stop picking on the old school German paintjob, the color works great on Hotrods too! The fire are the trans orange flame parts, 3 horizontally placed in a triangular shape. The ladder is made out of 2 pieces of rigid hose and black skellie arms. Coming from a big tv star that means a lot, thanks! -
How about Hanna Barbara's ''the Jetsons'' Nice little speeder, really clever design, looks a bit like a cartoonish / futuristic car. What i'd like to see is a trans light blue dome on top, so the driver can be seen more clearer.

I know what you mean, but i'm unsure what they were for.. It could also be to show the ''building skill'' required, like on model kits? Never saw anything about collecting them for a free set or discount or anything.

Ever since a kid i wanted to build a fully working steam engine, and now...i did! It is based on a German Baureihe 22 locomotive, a few things have been made to my taste however. A frontal shot: One from the back: And the interior of the cabin: C&C are welcome! More in the BS folder. Enjoy!

Where should I send this?
Captain Green Hair replied to Mattieshoe's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Who needs sets? Throw away the plans and build whatever you like! Seriously that is what i love about lego, and apart from the <insert that tiresome argument> years, i think they are doing great at the moment. -
A playstation portable might also make a nice theater screen...

Interesting question, i've added a poll and made the title somewhat more attractive for you As to the question i really have my hopes up for a new pirate line in 2009 or 2010. Seeing what they did with the new castle line, i think it will contain some great sets. As to ships this is hard... Though the Viking line had some decent ships, i certainly wouldn't take those over the BSB or SES. Though i must say i really like the BSB and hate the SES. (Bad color, swivel guns...) So i voted no, but only the future can tell if i was wrong, and boy do i hope i'm wrong!
