Terrible planning by LEGO. I love the coin GWP so I wanted to get a battle pack and the Endor speeder chase (turn the base of it into a clone battle scene display + speeders and figs looked so good), but they were out of the coin in less than 20 minutes if they even had it in the first place.

I want normal stormtroopers if their helmets are reverted/changed. New ones are disgustingly bad. Imperial Mandalorians would be incredible in a $20 battle pack, but they will most likely go for dark trooper style of set for $35 cause they are greedy like that and know we will still buy them. If Moff is with them with the mando armor I wouldn't even complain.

If it was just a bit darker it would have been perfect.

Same, I love the new speeders. Hoping to get the set on sale or just bricklink it like you plan to.

I also disagree with his point cause there a ton of great sets under $150 that are amazing value like the trouble on tatooine, but I think some of the sets you named don't really have that value he was talking about. For example the $30 501st set( not a battlepack) had bizzarely innacurate and oversized vehicles that most fans that have any self respect didn't even build and had only 4 figures making the way for LEGO to keep robbing their costumers and pricing out people by charging $30 for upcoming swamp speeder, $35 for dark trooper attack etc. The builds were so bad people went above any beyond to make something else out of it. $60 for the old 501st set gave you 8 figures and now for $60 you can get 3 snowtrooper BP with 3 accurate speeders and 12 figures. Yes, Dark Trooper Attack set is really cool, but the value of 166 pieces and 4 figures with every detail being a sticker (11 of them) doesn't really scream value for $35. Things like the 4+ AT-ST are even worse. The mandalorian starfighter build was falsely advertised and looked like it can be displayed in 90 degree angle which it can't, because they cheaped out on the landing gear the set is tilting downwards, set also has gaps in the cockpit. Biggest draw were the figures of which 2/3 figures got released to half of Europe in foil bags and most of them got shipped to US. That set was 70 euros in Europe which is $77 for a bad build and only 1 figure being exclusive with a potential to be in the future foil bag making the value of the set even worse.

I actually really like the coin death star gwp thingy, but only an exclusive minifigure can justify me paying 150 euros for AT-TE in the LEGO store that's 120 euros in the retail store and 112 euros on bricklink. So it's gonna be a pass from me.

Oh thank you, didn't even see they flipped on it. Dual molded legs are just a dollar, seems pretty easy to get.

Omega or Cad Bane would be beyond incredible cause I really want those figures, but won't be buying that disaster of a set for $170. 212th and Ewok sound great. LEGO designers said it's not fair to people to have to spend $350 or more for an exclusive figure so it would be nice to see Veers from the UCS AT-AT, Kuill from the UCS Razor Crest, Fennec with a helmet, Moff Gideon or even a Gamorrean guard.

Getting the fang fighter and mandalorian fleet commander from the tie interceptor set. (not the whole set) Getting Bo Katan from the Mando spider set (not the whole set) Around 13 swamp speeders. I don't care how the build will turn out or if the Vaughn figure only has a different visor. I just care about the 3 troopers being standard. 3 gunships, one for the army, one for the senator transportation and one as investment. Boba Fett mech cause I don't have any OT Boba figs. Maybe the Vader mech if the figure is different than what I already have in my collection and maybe the stormtrooper mech if the helmet is different cause the new one sucks. Endor diorama is a maybe if I get it on some kind of sale or someone on bricklink is only selling the speeders. Yoda's starfighter is a maybe depending on who is the third figure or if even there is one cause I have the older set version already. I will also buy it if it's a battlefront version cause I love that design. Not gonna buy Ghost or Venator cause of the figures.

Yeah, my guess is they will make that head print and arm printing exclusive to the Venator and then put Rex without arm printing in a cheaper set in 2024/2025.

I would personally never use anything other than 9 of the same troopers in a squad so I would either go for bricklink version: 18x heavy troopers in 2 squads of 9 lead by 2 officers being used as sergeants 18x standard 501st in 2 squads of 9 lead by 2 officers being used as sergeants 4 squads would make a platoon lead by a specialist clone being used as lieutenant Even if you get figures for $6 each that's $246 or $10.25 per month in the span of 2 years of the set being available If you can't use bricklink and you already have a standard 501st squad of 9 buying 9 battle packs for $180 version: 18x heavy troopers in 2 squads lead by 2 officers (sergeants) 1x specialist trooper squad lead by an officer (sergeant) 1x standard 501st from 2020 lead by an officer (sergeant) 4 squads make a platoon lead by an officer being used as lieutenant with added visor or something to separate him from the regular officers $180+ whatever you spent on the standard squad ($90 for sets or $45 figs only) With the swamp speeder rumors/leaks there are so many possibilities if the 3 clones are standard as you can switch helmets and mix and match to either get proper leadership or get more standard 501st or have unique army of heavy 332nd or 332nd specialists while building up your standard 501st etc. Having swamp speeder with 3 x 332nd, 501st BP, Cody, Vaughn, Rex, AT-TE with 3x 212th, Gunship with 2 shock troopers, Thorn or Fox, Venator and Republic Tank (even if the build is garbage) at the same time is insane.

By canonically I meant those of us that army build by researching about army units from canon Star Wars reference books opposed to copying what Solid Brix Studios popularized/invented 12 years ago and just slapping figures on the baseplate aimlessly and sometimes even mixing phase 1,2, senate commandos and royal guards. Canonically army building clones would be making squads (9 troopers + sergeant), platoons(4 squads + lieutenant), companies (4 platoons + a captain) etc. This is why this current BP is so good cause the only phase 2 sergeant is Hunter so people had to be creative and add cloths and stuff to their figures or get customs. And now we get not only 501st, but 332nd leadership as well with the upcoming swamp speeder cause we can switch helmets with standard and leadership clones and it also helps the people that randomly slap things on a baseplate cause they can switch helmets aswell so it's a win win for both and I appreciate LEGO for it. All that is missing for 332nd is lieutenant Jesse.

OMG I haven't even thought of that. It is actually an amazing idea for us that army build canonically as we can switch officer and specialist troopers helmets from the battle pack with regular bodies on 332nd and have them as lieutenants and sergeants while at the same time fixing the standard troop problem with the BP. I am even more excited for the swamp speeder set now.

WOW I was so wrong. They really picked a horrible time to release this list. Swamp Speeder: I am super happy with Vaugh and 332nd troopers, will be getting either 5 or 11. (helmet holes or not idc) The Ghost: pass, I just don't care about it without Zeb and Sabine Republic Gunship: I am incredibly excited as this would be my first sealed gunship playset, getting 1 if they are phase 1 and 2 if they are phase 2. Venator: pass LEGO 75348 Mandalorian Fang Fighter vs. TIE Interceptor got leaked on youtube, it will have a tie fighter pilot, black astromech, Mando and 1 more figure. Appreciate you guys. Only logical thing that I could try to use to explain it is that they saw Clovis without hair, but that's a really low possibility.

Yeah, I am unsure if the sets are actual leaks or April's fool so...

It can also be Thorn instead of Fox as they are very similar and Clovis instead of Palpatine so the set would be based on the crisis at heart episode.

Bought the Mandalorian forge again after losing my first one on a trip and i finally bought The Bad Batch shuttle to be opened for Christmas. I now have every TCW, The Bad Batch and PT set from 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021 minus the UCS gunship that i never plan to get. Missing Rey's speeder, 7 sith trooper foil packs and Phasma with pointed mouth helmet to finish off my ST collection too. (not going for all ST sets just ones i like). In 9 days i will order 3 snowtrooper BP (they were techically in TCW) and accessory pack and i am done with Star Wars till August unless i end up enjoying The Book of Boba Fett show in which case i am buying set/s from that too.
