  1. Really nice use of the drones as armor. It's a pity that those lower legs aren't in silver (I imagine that they don't exist in that color). Overall great build, kudos! :)
  2. It took me some time to check, but do you know what? :) When this MOC was done (about one year ago I think) those pieces weren't available in silver. So I tried this mix.
  3. Different philosofy and approach. :) In HF designing, I prefer to use existing pieces when I don't see a functional reason to create samething from scratch. I don't agree on this, I really believe that sometimes constrains and rules foster creativity. But at the end, neither is right or wrong. What matters is what is interesting for you. :)
  4. Clear. On the real model I don't have the same sensation, but I will take in account you feedback. Thanks
  5. I don't know if I understood correctly. Maybe I will try a different color scheme, with dark shells on the back to create more contrast.
  6. Nice 'military' hero. I really don't understand the need to create a complex custom torso, but nice clean build.
  7. Hi all, this one is a MOC designed at the 3.0 serie time. The color scheme of this MOC was inspired by a Yuri Fassio's creation. The Infected Evo build for the context was inspired by this MOC. Click on the picture to open the flickr set. Also on MOCPages
  8. Hi all, a preview of my last reimagined XL Hero based on the large chest piece. Maybe it would fit better a Space/tech Knight theme than the Savage Planet one... Same logics in designing as the others. But this one is a bit less playable. Click on the image to access Flickr set. Also on MocPages
  9. Maybe I will try some fix. Maybe yes, maybe no. I have also another idea on a new Stormer... :)
  10. Thanks. Short Answer: no. :) Long Answer: my Hero Factory Mocs designing precepts are: Keep it simple. Simple design doesn't mean easy: don't stuff too much details, don't overdo with weapons or add-ons, use ball and socket build approach Design it as a feasible Lego Set: keep it affordable, use common parts & colors (found in HF sets or Pick-a-brick), use legitimate build technics Be consistent: respect existing themes or keep homogeneity in your themes Seek a Toon style: could it be translated to an animated toon? keep low violence and no profanity That means that my daughter should be able to take it from the shelf and play with it as any official Lego HF set and that if I was a Lego Manager I would release the set. So, when design HF character, I don't bother too much on details or coverage. Moreover when I designed this MOC some new pieces that could have helped where still not available. Some of my next MOCs will not be HF characters, so I will consider more detail and less playability. The original idea was to have trunk-like legs that allowed Breez to hold ground when firing huge weapons. Then I didn't create the huge weapon... :) Maybe you are right and the solution in not very harmonious, in the future I will try the same type of leg with a bulkier model.
  11. The natural form version is really nice. :) But in the mutated version, IMO, the birdy features are lost. And the arms are not so good. But if this is the first try it's a good build. Kudos. :)
  12. It started as a Breez on steroids, but it was too masculine (if you may say that of a robot). So Nigel Breez, twin of Natalie Breez, was born. Click on the image to access Flickr set. Also on MocPages
  13. Hard? Nhaaaa. Btw, it's reimagined. And for me that means that I can change anything. Drones and sword are gone because they didn't fit during the building process. The side armor is there to give it 'mass', I put them on purpose because the idea is that this Stormer is heavy and strong. In photos it seems a bit flat but in reality there is no big flow break. Stickers? I don't like them. Thanks. The thighs are thin on purpose. In this case (like also in the breez xl character I uploaded on Flicks) I wanted to exagerate some features in a cartoonish way (anyway, in HF is difficult to cover that area). Why? Because i Like it! :) Maybe I will take a looK at the color scheme. Who knows. Thanks.
  14. Hi all, this is my reimagined version of Breakout Stormer XL Click on the image to access Flickr set. Also on MocPages
  15. Uhm, no. I'm satisfied with the torso. It was the best solution to integrate the brain. And I wanted to keep the pieces count low, as would in a real set. For the hero core, as already said, I used the old one because there is no new core in green... :)
