Marvel Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
playgood replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
It's mostly wishful thinking, but the logic behind the New Goblin guess is that its possible New Goblin was designed and considered for the Spider-man 3 set before the final budget was worked out and the figure moved over to the book release. -

I love the X-Men, but even back then the X-Men brand wasn't as strong as we remember it to be. Universal Studios built an entire theme park land dedicated to Marvel in 1999. There were attractions based on the Hulk, Spider-Man, and Fantastic Four, but no X-Men (They later added a small spinner ride featuring Storm from the X-Men to address criticism that they weren't enough rides without height restrictions). -

This one seems inevitable after all the new pieces and building techniques the F1 partnership has brought us. -

Saber-toothed Tiger and Woolly Mammoth would give us the full Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers line up! (We already have the T-Rex, Pterodactyl, and a Triceratops)- 176 replies

I don't think we'll get a dedicated line of space sets. But maybe we'll get something like "City Space explores an Ice Planet". A spiritual successor to a previous theme, but without the neon 80s/90s aesthetic. 🤷♂️

Thank you, that's very kind. The goal is to put things up on Rebrickable sometime this year. You could be a great MOC builder, just takes some practice! Start with small builds. Make small updates to existing sets. The big MOCs can get very complicated, very quickly, which can be discouraging. So start small!

Once I'm satisfied with how they look in Bricklink Studio I'll order the pieces and build them in real life. Then post the results on here. I still have remakes of 6852: Sonar Security and 6897: Rebel Hunter to build. I'm not going to bother with the largest two sets in the series. After this I'll work on M-Tron, Ice Planet, and Spyrius remakes.

Here's a Space Police 2 remake that I've been messing around with, that uses some technics and parts from the 2024 City Space Sets.
-
You could create a Space Police jail out of Modular Space Station (60433). Each pod would be a jail cell. Shouldn't be too difficult to replace those colours.

I think you're right, the '24 sets take place outside of the solar system. So I made some edits to the timeline. Current TimelineCITY Space 2019 -> Building rockets to get to spaceCITY Space 2022 -> Reaching the moon and discovering crystalsCITY Space 2024 -> Using the crystals as an energy source to reach a planet just outside of our solar system. Discovering aliens and botanical+ crystal energy CITY Space 20?? -> The botanical+crystal energy source allow for travel even further outside of our solar system, to an Ice Planet

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 25. Rumors and discussion

The E-Sports Gamer's is wearing a shirt with what looks to be a modern version of the Black Falcons logo. I might pick that one up and make a Black Falcons Space figure with it.- 574 replies

Stars Wars is definitely sticking around. But the volume of sets has decreased in recent years. This data doesn't take into account sales, budgets, percentage of revenue. So we don't have an accurate understanding of consumer demand, but if we use number of sets produced as our indicator, we can see a trend emerge. From 2015 to 2020 LEGO was producing ~60 sets, but in the past three years (2021 - 2023) that number has been reduced to ~40 sets. It's possible for Star Wars to reverse the trend, but it's not likely to happen until there is a new and popular movie or TV show. The presumption here is that the lack of Star Wars sets creates an opening for other Space sets. Here's a chart showing number of Star Wars sets produced.

Last year, LEGO combined Deep Sea and Arctic sets into a new subtheme, "Exploration". It's possible that they've done something similar with the Jungle sets and now we have a new theme (Conservation?) that encompasses multiple biomes (outback, savannah, jungle, etc).
-
This is a great idea. It's difficult to recreate most of the faction-era 80s / 90s space sets using today's pieces and colors. Space police I and II are some of the easier themes to recreate because the colors are still in production. Referencing the villain factions (Blacktron II, Spyrius, UFO, and Insectoids) works really well for an anniversary set.

This is what has been reported on by BrickClicker: 10391 LEGO Moments Space, $100, 966pcs. "The set includes a large black spaceship and two minifigures with different heads / hair to customize them." Older themes with black spaceships include: Blacktron I, Space Police, Blacktron II, Space Police II Most people are guessing it's a remake of the Blacktron Renegade The only other speculation I've seen is that the torso from the Blacktron II CMF could be reused in the set. So it's possible it could be something else like 6897: Rebel Hunter which includes two figures, a Space Police II pilot and a Blacktron II prisoner. It's less likely, but would be cool to see.
-
I could see both of the recent Ice Planet figures working together well in a MOC. You could have the bomber jacket torso from the Chinese New Year set on a figure that sits inside a vehicle or structure. And the Ice Planet CMF for the outside, exposed to the elements.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
playgood replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
If LEGO is to revisit this idea of a theme which crosses over with other themes like they did this year with Space (City, Friends, Technic, Duplo, Creator, CMF, ...) I wonder if they will go with something like "Oceans" instead of "Castle" and "Pirates". An Ocean based CMF would have plenty of past themes to reference (Aquanauts, AquaRaiders, Aquasharks, Hydronauts, Seatron, Stingrays, Alpha Team: Mission Deep Sea, Atlantis, ...) you could even include Pirates under a broader Ocean theme. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
playgood replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Here are my guesses for the space series. Likely Spyrius’s Major Kartofski (The first minifigure with leg printing and first robot minifigure) Classic Space Figure in a new color (Continues a trend) A real world astronaut or scientist Alien Conquest Clinger (A unique figure from a past theme that has a lot of play value) Retro Space Girl (to pair with the Retro Space figure from CMF 17) A costume figure Less Likely, but Possible Ice Planet’s Doctor Kelvin (The first female minifigure to appear in Space sets, I would have said likely but the trans-neon orange color complicates things) M-Tron (Beloved theme, but no named characters so it might be hard for non classic space fans to understand what the figure represents) Blacktron (Beloved theme, but previously referenced and likely to appear in upcoming rumored black spaceship set) Space Police (Beloved theme, but there has been a recent figure, still we could maybe get a SPIII gangster or SPII green and red figure? Rock Raiders (Beloved theme, but the upcoming City Space sets have crystal mining astronauts already so this might be too similar) Insectoids (Insect themed aliens would definitely stand out) -
Made some quick minor changes to the design. I ignored any sort of structural integrity. Not to be taken too seriously, I just wanted to get some rough ideas out there. - Increase the size of the door so a minifigure can fit - Rounded the top of the door to make it look more like a wooden door - Remove the railing above the door (to me it looked like a balcony which broke the scale of the set) - Filled the empty space - Twisted the axes to cover the black space - Bigger shutters (to me it looked better from a scale perspective)

DC Superheroes 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion

I'm surprised they didn't give Bumblebee mid-size legs. She's a Teen Titan and a bit on the short side in the cartoon. -

Here's my best guesses so far. I'm running with the assumption that these will be mostly classic variants of the characters. I'm also assuming that we will see a lot of pairings. The only thing I'm hesitant about is the lack of Aquaman and Birds of Prey related characters. Guesses - Wonder Woman - Cheetah - Batman - Catwoman - Superman - Brainiac - Nightwing - Cyborg - Green Lantern (Alan Scott) - The Flash (Jay Garrick) - Sinestro - Green Lantern (Simon Baz) - Bumble Bee - Star Girl - Metamorpho - Huntress Wildcards - Black Canary? - Harley Quinn? - Aquaman? - Aquaman Villain? -
DC Superheroes 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion
playgood replied to Anonknee Muss's topic in LEGO Licensed
Ah! Okay, that makes sense. I think we will get a classic Superman villain, but Lex Luthor is a bit too ordinary for a CMF. I could see them going with a classic Brainiac and the bottle city of Kandor as the accessory. -

My guess is that Mr. Mxyzptlk will reuse the Minnie Mouse hat. He's a classic Superman villain that debuted in the 1940s.
