I’ve looked at the new great hall/cos set and to transform it into grey roofs and curved towers you can use most parts from The astronomy tower set. So unless the new great hall/cos set is on a huge discount later on, I might buy one and transform it with an extra copy of the astronomy tower set. Still not sure cause the new sets still look ugly to me ( besides Hogsmeade). I also don’t understand the teeth on the sides of the basilisk. But I have to say LEGO did fluff the set up nicely.

Maybe by icons they mean the statues at Hogwarts (like the architect) and the moving painting lady (Dawn French).

Best news ever! Now we can fill 30 pages of guessing. I’m so glad it isn’t the chess set.

For me it all depends on what’s coming next year. If it is a return to 2018/2020 form than I will happily buy those sets. This year I will probably only get hogsmeade and maybe bricklink some minifigs I don’t have. I have the bricktober set so no need for Hooch/Tom. I’m already looking at the Mos Eisley Cantina...perhaps get that one instead of this years weird and offbeat Harry Potter sets and the upcoming Home Alone house!

I think they mean that it is brickbuilt but with something extra. Maybe they merged the potter theme with the dots theme and it’s a jewelry box with a brick built creature guarding it

Okay, that could all work! I like the minifigs catapult idea the other books I have incorporated into my hogwarts display. Main buildings on the outside and inside the books and some self made walls/arches/statues so it looks like different rooms and hallways. Everything on one big tan baseplate (fake LEGO brand baseplate ). If they come with more books I have to buy another side table to place it on. It’s getting a bit crowded. Already have an overflow on my music studio desks.

Yes but I meant the others have tables, chairs, cabinets, plants etc inside the book too.

I wonder what the side builds in the flying lesson book will be. It takes place outside on a field of grass.

Oh that would be so funny if they aired a 20th LEGO anniversary of HP tonight, and showed us all the upcoming sets for this year.

A bit off topic but tonight on the BBC there is a documentary about the anniversary of 20 years Harry Potter.

Apparently it’s very difficult for you to stay nice. It’s not about being angry and pointing fingers it’s about a discussion why we should trust leakers and the motives they might or might not have. There are more opinions than the one you got and calling everyone butthurt that doesn’t follow your opinion is rude.

Don’t think we will agree on these points but that’s fine. I see things differently than you do. And that makes things interesting. As long as ones opinion isn’t presented as a fact when other people have different views.

1: true 2: true 3: not true. Its a selfish act to know the sets that are coming before they are released. They want to know the info. Its not like someone gives it to them out of good will and they decline the info. And Ofcourse they are happy to have the power to tell or not tell. Otherwise they would not tell us anything and keep the info to themselves. Its a bit naive to think they are helping us and not enjoy knowing the set info. 4: that’s personal. Some people like to think they are getting what they wish for. Just my two cents...nothing personal towards your opinion.
