  1. Fist part of this new season, the mining headframe : Zombillénium, mining headframe by Stephle59, on Flickr This is the structure that allows miners and ore to ascend / descend via an elevator shaft. In the long term, there will be two along the main tower, that of management. I have remained faithful to Arthur de Pins' uncluttered drawing.
  2. New season is coming ! Here is the sketch of the roller coaster, from Bruno Couchinho used for the film. This gives you a good idea of what it will look like: Roller Coaster sketch, by Bruno Couchinho by Stephle59, on Flickr Image taken from the book "The Art of Zombillenium", published by Dupuis. Copyright Dupuis Copyright Maybe Movies The picture is not great, but you can see the positioning of the two towers in the film, the warehouses, the easels, ... The roller coaster circuit is not at all functional. I'm going to reinterpret it, and actually make two in parallel, with two separate entrances (one in the central building, the other in the adjoining annex). Delivery of this huge part is scheduled for September 2021. I will show the WIP during this period.
  3. Here we are, we start the new season of the project with the cart of the future roller coaster : Zombillenium, introduction to roller coaster by Stephle59, on Flickr It is freely inspired by that of the film poster :

Done parts are in green, WIP in yellow and future work (2020/2021) in blue. Zombillénium - Summary of a year of work by Stephle59, on Flickr Now some updated information about this project : - 90% of the forecast achieved, for the period 2019 - 2020 - More than 50,000 parts assembled at the moment - More than 450 working hours ... And we start the new season smoothly, with this figbarf : Sirius Jefferson, "Let me be a rockstar, baby !" by Stephle59, on Flickr Referer :
  6. The advance of the moment is it: Zombillénium - Carousel with skulls, v2.0 by Stephle59, on Flickr No major exterior change, the biggest job is the engine! Here, unlike the 10257 carousel, I couldn't integrate the same technique of the rack mechanism, because of lack of space ... The challenge was that everything was almost invisible, and that I did not exceed the thickness of a brick and a tile to stay at Main Street level. How did I do it? First, an M motor is integrated into the fixed central hub of the arena. I had to completely review the initial framework and design so that not only can it enter, but the roof of the carousel and its heavy weight does not come to explode everything... Secondly, the plate is moved by contact with rubber tires. The problem is that since the bricks are smooth, slippage is very important. So I had to cheat: to increase the grip on the tray, I added strips of 3M masking tape for painting below, the surface of which is rough. Finally, with regard to the transmission, to slow down the speed of the motor M, I started on a classic worm + gear, followed by an antagonistic transmission system. And the chainring ends up being supported by a set of freewheels also shod with rubber tires. I filmed the movement obtained. 10. As promised some news of the progress of the park below : Zombillenium - WIP, May 2020 by Stephle59, on Flickr My carpet is 1.90m long, the diorama occupies it almost entirely now. Some information: around 42,000 pieces installed today; 255 working hours since October 2019. I must update the demon skull gate too. 11. Almost one year after the first version, updated version with its mirrors, modified front grille, as well as its rear bumper, its antenna on the roof. And its front side scoops. Gretchen and its Mini Cooper S by Stephle59, on Flickr Gretchen and its Mini Cooper S by Stephle59, on Flickr
  12. Thank you so much. I regularly chat with the author on Instagram, who follows the progress of the amusement park very closely. It is true that seeing it transposed into Lego bricks, and therefore giving it a dimension in physical 3D gives me great satisfaction, just like him. Then he discovers what we can do with Lego bricks, apart from what the brand markets, which improves his curiosity even more.

  17. Ooooh thank you Kintobor, glad to read you like it ! And now, first part of Main Street almost done : Zombillenium Main Street WIP by Stephle59, on Flickr Definitely, this dark purple building, the more I see it, the more I love it. I found a dark turquoise dish 3 x 3 coming soon, that will finish the gray building too As a bonus, a quick little creation made on Sunday, a vignette inspired by one of the last Instagram posts that Arthur de Pins published and which presents a very small part of a vignette from one of the cases in volume 5 : Francis Von Bloodt - "Problem fixed !" by Stephle59, on Flickr To get out of the Main Street build and present my vision of the vignette, a little less gore than the original, but most of the elements are there. The lighting and the light / dark side are voluntary, it gives a little idea of the atmosphere. Francis always has class ! Volume 5 will be titled "Black Friday".

  21. Saturday was a great day for me : the author, Arthur de pins, authorized me to publish the sketches which were used for the film and the comic strip. So I can now show you a comparative view of the drawn version and its in LEGO parts : Main Street WIP by Stephle59, sur Flickr I used dark purple parts for the building to the right, instead of magenta parts, because LEGO inventory is limited to make some hard forms, and I have got a lot of parts in dark purple too
