  1. It is Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes. It is confirmed by a reliable insider to come w the Diagon Alley set (which, as you stated, we do not currently have pictures of)
  2. “and now with us getting WWW? It really seems as if LEGO is granting all of our HP WISHES in this revival.” My mention of WWW was really me talking about a wishlist set more than it being unrealistic (in fact nowhere did I mention anyone calling it unrealistic). However, there is definitely an element of a “wishlist” set being unreleastic. We already had a Diagon alley set from years ago and for whatever reason they shied away from WWW so I'm happy they're making it now. They also shied away from scenes such as Grawp, Sirius’s lake encounter w the dementors, Yule Ball, and Slug club. I guess a better way of saying it would be “unexpected and fresh” than unrealistic. Still I dont need mini mods policing my posts, especially when they dont add anything about sets, just nitpick the language of my otherwise very on-topic comment. Also, its comical to me that you would suggest “let’s keep this on topic and move on,” when you yourself took the time to also “go off topic” in replying to my comment to Guyon. A bit hypocritical to ask others to stay on topic when you’re not even doing so. Thanks for taking such an interest though! This really looks amazing!
  3. Didnt state that anyone did, just that it was a “wishlist” set. Of all the things to reply to my post its funny that you have to nitpick a detail instead of contributing to discussion. Ive seen you do that alot and its kind of getting old
  4. I’ve been thinking about how a lot of us had sets that seemed unrealistic on our wishlists (I remember people saying how Beauxbatons Carriage & Yule Ball especially seemed like reaches, Slughorn’s party as well, but less so after we got Yule Ball) and now with us getting WWW? It really seems as if LEGO is granting all of our HP wishes in this revival. Long term, I definitely see us getting Chamber of Secrets (even if its as some people have suggested just a small $25 build) and Shrieking Shack (and possibly even Grimauld Place if we are REALLY lucky) in future waves. Thinking about us getting another set this fall, I definitely think MoM small $25 build seems the most realistic as LEGO seems to purposely be giving us scenes they’ve never given us before this time around (Grawp, Yule Ball, Slug club party). However, in this vein I also wouldn’t rule out Inferi cave battle just yet. As has previously been stated, Graveyard resurrection and Sirius’s “death” in the dark forest also are sets with very serious and graphic subject matter. We will have to see, but I am excited either way!
  5. Agreed! I can barely fit the full thing on my table anymore
  6. Hey everyone! I don't post a lot but I'm always reading (I'm sure some of you remember me from a little while back) & I figured now was the best time to actually physically voice my opinions since we are all celebrating finally getting the set pics!!! wow that was painful for a little while there lol. here are my thoughts: 1. I'm disappointed that (so far) the token vehicle for this wave is a repeat (the Weasley flying car), the updated build looks good though 2. Privet Drive looks really solid on the exterior but the lack of exclusivity among mini figures and pieces (Dobby looks a bit scary and the Dursleys reuse a good amount of pieces and don't look that special to me) make it a pass for me. the living room build also looks a bit clunky imo 3. The Burrow (build) looks great. I thought it would be difficult for them to improve upon the last one but they did it. i really want to have the new Bellatrix & Fenrir, along with exclusive pieces that come with the set. however the price point is a bit too high for me to buy it at least before it goes on sale. glad we finally got Ginny! It took them long enough. however Molly's figure, as well as Bellatrix's face look really odd to me. Also I feel that not much effort was put into Tonks' figure, at least at first glance, which is disappointing. 4. this leads me to my next point. figures overall this wave and last wave have been pretty weak in my opinion, with a few notable exceptions. Bellatrix, Lavender, Tonks, the Dursleys, and Draco (the fact that he's not wearing his black suit) were notable disappointments. Even Umbridge looks a little weak to me. Harry's face (from the first wave to now) looks like it has lost a lot of the detail and personality and I don't understand why. I feel like they should focus on minifigures' accuracy first before adding in so many exclusive printed pieces, maybe that's just me. 5. final thoughts: Grawp looks pretty good imo considering the film source material they were dealing with. ROR was also a pleasant surprise. This may have already been talked about (I apologize I have like 80 pages of this thread to catch up on) but I am wondering how it would look attached to the other Hogwarts sets? pleasantly surprised by Ravenclaw common room as well. Overall I'd say this was a very solid wave. I would say years 1-2 (&3) sets > 5-6 (&2) > 3-4 from what we've seen so far. the effort and minifigs in that first revival of the theme are incomparable to anything we've seen since imo
  7. This description made so much sense lol
  8. Hi everyone! I was wondering if any of you have come up with a good moc figure for Kristoff from Frozen? I know he comes in some of the current sets, but I’d like a version that matches up to the style of Elsa and Anna minifigures that comes in the Disney blind bag series. I don’t really like the “Friends” theme looking minifigures that much.
  9. exciting that we're getting more sets! tell me the names now though, please?
  10. Hi, sorry if this was stated already (Haven't been on in a while) Which 4 sets are being discontinued?
  11. To me the Hogwarts sets are Great Hall from Philosopher’s Stone, Clocktower set from PoA, the Hogwarts castle from OotP and the one released around the time of DH. All of these sets, when they stand alone can form a Hogwarts playset. I guess the only exception to this was really the Battle of Hogwarts set. I see what you’re saying about CoS, but standalone it doesn’t have the same “Hogwarts-y play value” as the other sets (two of them include the Great Hall which is a major play area, the others include offices, dormitories, classrooms, etc which are all major play areas of Hogwarts. CoS set is really just a bathroom and the basement of Hogwarts which, while still important, don’t really constitute a “Hogwarts playset” imo) sorry for the rant! Yes, thank you! Either way OBVIOUSLY a CoS (movie) themed CoS (set) would be a lot more interesting than a DH one. But with them already giving us the live version of the Basilisk, I do wonder if it would make sense for them to still give us the Chamber but in a new context
  12. I was solely talking about the releases of the HOGWARTS sets when the movies came out in past years, syncing up with the waves we’ve been having this time around
  13. I was just kind of thinking about the pattern we’ve had so far w Hogwarts sets: Great Hall & Gryffindor tower sets when the original Philosopher’s Stone movie came out and then again in last year’s wave. Then the clocktower set when PoA first came out and again in this year’s wave. Just going by this pattern I was expecting the greenhouse, Room of Requirement, and Umbridge’s office in next wave’s Hogwarts addition to match OotP’s Hogwarts set, and then maybe some Battle of Hogwarts scenes, the entry bridge to Hogwarts from the DH set, and yeah that’s where my CoS theory came from, those little areas w the snakes in them from the past Battle of Hogwarts set. Who knows by this point though!
  14. Have you guys thought about: what if the reason they didnt make a CoS last wave is bc they’re saving it for the DH version???
  15. Does anyone know the UPC or the DPCI number for the sets yet??
  16. Am I the only one who thinks baby Voldemort looks kind of pathetic? Like I know we shouldn’t expect too much but Idk the crosshatching on the “cloth” really rubs me the wrong way/ makes it look kind of like a blackened loaf of bread or something lol
  17. Has anyone ever used thehut.com to purchase sets? They have all the new HP wave on their site with US delivery but I’ve seen some bad reviews so just wondering if anyone here has used it?
  18. Euros are not equivalent to dollars, our economies are literally different. No offense but do you not understand how currency value works? I actually had a very similar problem with the little branches on the Whomping Willow set, they kept falling off at first. I remember thinking it was so odd that LEGO would make such a difficult build
  19. I just dk why Lego acts like they cant splurge a little bit on their budget and just charge a little more for sets. They’re a huge corporation. Its not like its us at home making bootleg versions of sets lol. Don’t get me wrong, I love the new waves so much and I’m very grateful for what we did get but (just being nitpicky) wouldn’t they rather just give us Krum and Fleur done right in all the sets and Fang at all, even if we complain a little bit about pricing, rather than to give us a half-assed goblet of fire and pensieve along w the other noticeable places they skimped?
  20. So the biggest things we’re still waiting for with the current wave are Baby Voldemort, and whether Flitwick is a new minifigure or not? (Along w any other surprises that may come w the advent calendar) also, didnt someone mention on here a while back that the Clock tower was supposed to come w Gillyweed? I wonder what happened to that
  21. Tonks + the rest of what we’ll be getting from OOTP make me so excited for the next wave. Its funny, everything we’ve gotten so far has been brilliant but we’ve never gotten more than 10 sets TOTAL (probably less) from the second half of the movies. So the wait for the next set of leaks is bound to be literally excruciating considering how hyped its going to be.
  22. Thank youuuu, we’re called ADULT Fans of Lego for a reason lol. We’re obviously all passionate here, no need for certain users to get a superiority complex... anywayssss Fingers crossed! Only thing is if we really were getting them June 1 stores would most likely already have the sets in stock, in which case employees wouldn’t be saying they “have the same information we do” unless they’re playing coy.... we’ll see!
  23. I’m sorry, I want it to be true as well but I’ve talked to multiple lego store employees at multiple locations, target employees at multiple locations, and Lego customer service themselves. Its not coming in June The new Bellatrix is probably going to be EPIC
  24. Anyways, has anyone thought about how exciting yet also unexpected it is that we’ve already gotten Umbridge and Slughorn (of all people?) in this wave, and yet no Ginny Weasley yet? Oh and Olympe Maxime as well! It really makes you wonder what they’re focusing on with minifig selection this time around... Babe, you’ve cursed at me, called me a “yank”, and been completely unwelcoming to me, a new member of this forum. So um yea I’d rather be “patronising” than rude anyday
