Not sure if this info has already been stated but I called Barnes & Noble today, they’re expecting Sept 1 launch for CMF2 (and they confirmed to me it was originally supposed to come August 1 but was pushed back, I’m assuming due to distribution problems). Also (not that it matters at all anymore lol) but LEGO store confirmed to me today they’re finally getting the new HP sets a week from today, August 24th!

Hi everyone! So I just want to give everyone any info I could possibly have: basically I’ve been pretty desperate waiting for the sets to be released in the US so I ended up pining for the Super Mario sets since they’re the only other newly released theme remotely interesting to me (actually I did also buy one Hidden side set out of desperation as well lol) and I’ve been going from Target to Target, Walmart to Walmart trying to find them (since they’re not technically released till aug 1). Long story short, i finally found them at target tonight, alongside some mysteriously placed Harry Potter barcodes that caught my eye in a suspiciously empty looking Harry Potter lego section. I looked up the numbers from the barcodes and it turns out they were putting out the placeholders for the space where the upcoming (or already released for the rest of the world lol) HP sets will be. When I asked a target team member when they will be in stock they told me to arrive bright and early on August 16th, and that is when they will be putting them out!!! finally an official release date for the US, at target at least!! Seeing how things went w Super Mario, we might even luck out and have them put out even earlier than the street date. Also, for anyone wondering, the super mario set WAS streetdated in the employee’s system (on their target mobile phones) but WASNT streetdated at the registers, so I was able to purchase. Im really hoping the same thing happens with HP! Disclaimer: I know this technically was already sort of confirmed by the Burrow preorder on Target.com but now we officially know when all of them are coming!

Hi, can anyone tell me based on experience which store’s online preorder will be most likely to ship before the release date: Walmart, Barnes & Noble, Best Buy, or Lego? And also, does anyone have any experience with buying LEGO from a website called Scheels? Thank you in advance!!

well depending on whether its just the figure or if the ice cream shop actually shows up, perhaps the build your own adventure book actually did provide some clues for what future sets may hold

Hi everyone! Just popping in to say I was able to get the “Magical Treasury” book a bit early thanks to a bookstore near me being lenient w the release date! I can honestly say I was very impressed w the quality and content of the book, despite only buying it to obtain the Tom Riddle figure. The 2020 wave is very well represented in the book, and there is also a very interesting behind the scenes look at how some of the sets were made as well as a complete list of all minifigures (so far) in the current (starting with 2018) iteration of the theme. Unfortunately, as we know, I can confirm there are no pictures from the D2C Diagon Alley, the new advent calendar, or the cmf series. Not even so much as a hint of whats to come in the behind the scenes pages! Sorry to be the bearer of mediocre news lol, but I hope my post is helpful to anyone who’s on the fence on deciding to buy the book or not! It was well worth my $20 imo!

Can anyone remind me when the book that comes w/ Tom Riddle will be coming out? I believe I've seen July and September on here. Sorry for being forgetful!

I can't wait for the DA pictures to come out so we can put the microscale/ minifig scale debate to rest for once and for all!

Just going off the discussion from this page I wanted to say that so far the best interiors we’ve had were the Great Hall obviously, the Prefect’s bathroom, and either the Ravenclaw or Gryffindor dormitory. The potions classrooms, Hospital Wing and RoR have all been pretty lackluster imo with regards to interior decor and detailing. I really want to put Dumbledore’s office in my above top 3 but the stickers and how cramped it is decrease the play value alot imo. Still I appreciate the detail they were trying to put forth in it

Hi again all, I’m debating whether or not to buy the sets now from a third party site and (despite VIP points) the biggest concern I have right now is: was RoR the only set that had a manufacturer error with the torsos? I may want to wait until they get all the kinks worked out to make my purchase

Well I’m thinking Falconfan’s clue proves that the D2C is Diagon Alley, but just as one last shot in the dark, what if it was a Ministry of Magic set in the vein of the Death star D2C, with multiple iconic action scenes being depicted, or perhaps a large CoS, which we all have been longing for a set of for quite some time? Either way, if they do make other HP D2Cs moving forward, I think a MoM one would be a great option. Needless, to say, especially w some of us already having purchased the whole first wave of sets, I am honestly more excited than ever to see photos of the D2C (whatever it is!). I feel like I’m already over this wave and itching to see the rest of the CMF series, the AC, and of course to finally have actual details regarding this mysterious D2C!

We really won by getting Parvati (or Padma)!! Hopefully we get the other twin as well or I’d be a little disappointed. Honestly, even if they’re the only 2 exclusive minifigs it will be a worthy purchase for me. Is the bar really set that low?

Give us a high quality picture at least! Just kidding lol, any photo leak is better than no photo leak! Im surprised at the King nono of it all... I have to admit I thought the calendar was Slug club themed at first bc it looked like Hermione from AT. If we dont end up getting the Patil twins, it will be strange to me that LEGO had more time to premeditate with this calendar and it ended up w less exclusive content

this is beyond bizarre. i was hoping to do some digging on whether or not the mini figure pack was being released on june 1 in the states and oddly enough, when you google the set number a link to lego shop pops up but when you click on the link, nothing is there! Has 75978 already been confirmed to not be the set number for the D2C? If so, then perhaps he’s just repeating already known info. However, if this was the previously confirmed D2C set number I would say perhaps this complicates things a bit... I had thought that the D2C was widely accepted to be Diagon Alley though?... Third option: perhaps he is trying to say we are getting 2 new sets + CMF + advent calendar & D2C (instead of just one new set, which was previously thought)

I originally liked that layout more as well, I think now it may just be the obvious photoshopping thats throwing me off? I guess we will all have to see for ourselves when we get the sets how we think they best connect!

Its official its from Amazon. Also, the clocktower is connected, just to the back of the Great Hall. I believe the connection is just skewed in the pic. Edit: just realized that the Clocktower is probably not connected bc where it is placed in the pic there arent connectors on the structure, sorry for the misinformation! As for the greenhouse I think it is similarly hidden from view, and as for the room of requirement I believe we all came to the consensus that it connects to one of the holes at the back of the AT set (I think possibly to the green house?) Edit 2: just took a second look and I dont think the Greenhouse is actually in the pic. LOL so I basically take back everything from this post! Just wanted to say I’m so excited for all you Europe and UKers who are getting the sets in just over a week!

Be happy we at least get the minifig pack this is the second year in a row this has happened, and im sure ppl remember me complaining about it last year! I’ve learned you have to take it w a grain of salt. We will likely get one set early from Walmart as well if last year’s Expecto Patronum set is any indication
