  1. Yeah a whole lot of nothing going on here. As for the gunship or any vehicle I don't care whether it is 100% accurate as long as it looks like what it is supposed to, and improves upon past versions of that size if it existed. (The new X-wing may be an exception) I keep going back and forth but I have one, if I didn't it would be a no brainer. Personally I think the gunship was a start of a new trend, larger sets across more themes. I long for the days of $200 UCS, now $240, and would much rather have a $240 Gunship and Razorcrest, but people keep buying the larger and more expensive sets across multiple themes. I think the basic UCS sets are going to be fewer and fewer. As someone who would love a Vader Tie, B-Wing and Imperial Shuttle to round out my collection, I shudder to think if/when those get made they will be larger and much more expensive than there previous incarnations.
  2. Death star GWP, I kinda like it, I mean it looks about as good something that size can, and frankly even the UCS ones aren't that great. For a little desk item, I think it's awesome, the price point to get it I understand. Seems underwhelming. But it is free, and alot of people spend on the new sets anyway. Plans, I dont care that much about, but again its free. I liked the beskar keychain, but of course never use it, this will sit and maybe be sold for a couple bucks if lucky someday. Polybag is nice, but available at target and other locations. I picked one up recently to see if I wanted to use it as a replacement for my rebel fleet. Too big, nose to long, so used some elements of it to make a new version of my own. Its a good add on, but not amazing. Overall I think if they replaced the plans or added a figure in there anywhere, people would be more excited.
  3. For anyone looking for the UP house, a costco ( San Jose, CA.) close to me has it in store for $47.99. Not sure if it is all costco's, but a good deal for a probably temporarily sold out set.
  4. For someone that has mainly been UCS oriented, although sets with clones and mandos the last few years is making a liar of me. I'm looking at the following. Mini SSD- Overpriced, not mindblowing, but I will never buy a SSD if they ever do one again, especially because nowadays that would probably be $1000! Ghost- I sold my original for a tidy sum, sitting on the shelf with other sets, it just didnt hold up. I hold this one does! UCS X-wing- A double dip, not in love with it, but I think I am in Gunship- Clone wars really made me fall in love with this thing. I have the UCS, but like the idea of one this size, and as I have the UCS kinda excited its a variant. Yavin- I never buy playset styles, but I am intrigued and if it looks good at all, im in! Swamp Speeder- Just for the clones Ahsoka Ship- Huge rebels fan, need Sabine, hope the ship is decent This list is much longer than most years!
  5. I agree here. but I ultimately bought the shuttle for the figs, and then built a much better MOC with it, and then did a complete MOC for the Mando N-1. There are always options available Heck I think out of the 23 sets I currently display, 11 are original Lego UCS/set build, and 12 are MOC's.
  6. Man I have wavered on this thing. I thought it was going to be a 100% purchase even though it would be my first UCS double dip! But the first pics just didn't scream "better". Some side by side pics, as well as the speed build showing you don't have to have the wings that high, may have won me over. But I think it's mainly because I haven't bought a UCS in awhile! R2- Round 2- improvement but decided to save $$ since I have the original AT-AT -Too expensive, but amazing! Land Speeder- Nice build, but I never loved a speeder that much! Razor Crest- Too Expensive, plus had a really good MOC New X-wing- I guess I'll get it because I don't want to go three years on skipping the May UCS!
  7. As i just saw the box of six show up on the Lego, I am hoping I can log in and pick up 2, and hope I get lucky! That being said, trying to get brand new Star Wars sets and Disney Mini figures on the same night will probably implode lego. My store line gets so big early, I don't want to deal with it!
  8. I would guess very similar if not identicle to the SD. Falcon, AT-AT, and Razor crest made sense to incorporate some interior. Being that the SD didnt have anything, I doubt the Venator would. That being said, some of its features could lead to something like maybe removable hanger doors on top to reveal fighters etc.
  9. You may be right about the fuselage, but as I compare the screen to my 2013 version, the new fuselage is smaller than the previous one. So if it's fat, 2013 is jumbo! I'm having a hard time deciding on this. I may need to see it in person, but then that means no May promo and waiting, if I didn't have the 2013 I would probably grab anyway. Guess I have a month to decide!
  10. Hmmmm, definitely need to see the official pictures, but maybe I will get to save some $$$. Initially X-wing pic isn't screaming replace the last one! Even though I know people have issues with it. But to upgrade a UCS set, it better really look better than the last. First glance, there are things better, but it's not saying "Buy me" yet. I don't expect gaps like that along the nose in a UCS either!
  11. Man, I'm sure this buried in here somewhere, and way off topic of the current news. But 40% off from lego for the Black Panther set! Even discontinued sets barely get 20-25%. Ouch!
  12. Well now that all of these leaks I thought were pranks appear to be a little more legit. I would say slightly taller. I saw a description somewhere that it had 7 floors. If you compare that to the Bugle. I would call that 6 floors (including the roof and antennas) So i would guess slightly taller than the Antenna of the Bugle but all building. Probably smaller floor height on top. I knew once I got the Bugle, and then the Sanctorum this was going to be a problem! How am I going to afford this along with other themes, but man I have to add this to the growing marvel skyline somehow!
  13. Damn, I wont be getting the Venator (due to size, $$, and I only have space for the current SD) But if I was to get one, I second that amazing idea!
  14. Well if that is true, then I guess I am buying something for May the 4th afterall! Assuming it is at least bigger than a golfball! lol
  15. Damn, know another thing I want to add to a growing list! I could have done without Agatha, but aside from that I want 11 out of 12!
  16. I dont see any estimated date earlier than September or October? So I doubt it! I would bet only May sets or whatever is in summer. If that!
  17. man, still trying to come to terms with these. Would have thought half were fake for sure! Love a Venator, however a 2nd large and expensive Star Destroyer is not happening on my shelf. Luckily I built Fly in Space Midi version which is amazing, smaller and cheaper. Gunship, not gonna lie I'm intrigued. I picked up the UCS one, because I wanted one, but I really think a really good system version is better. Although the colors etc aren't confirmed, I wish I could go back in time, save $$ on the UCS and pick this up instead. Ghost! I partially regret selling mine, but made a tidy profit! It just didnt hold up on the shelf compared to other UCS sets. I hope this one does and can replace it. Ashoka's ship, not intrigued by the ship, but want the figs! Hopefully this can be on sale down the line. And if May really is a new X-Wing UCS, I may have to skip that, instead of upgrading my current one so I can save for some of these sets! Lego you are killing me!!!!
  18. I think I will just disappear for a week, and then when I come back whatever is floating around will hopefully be more accurate. Absolutely the worst day to try and drop leaks! I mean all of this stuff seems like a wishlist brought to life!
  19. Already seen a few floating around out there, kinda easy to forget when it lands on a weekend! The timing is quite painful with the hope of real leaks!
  20. I really like these Diorama style sets, and these are excellent additions. And I know its beating a dead horse, but the price for this things just continues to be out of whack! I have yet to see one that I would drop money on for the list price. Maybe a Zavvi, or Amazon sale down the road.
  21. Thank you both! I guess I need to pay more attention to the background! lol!
  22. Ok, im sure its buried in here somewhere, but as someone who grew up with the OT, has watched every live action and animated series ever produced, I must have missed the swamp speeder? Not that I care, about the only thing I still collect are any kind of trooper, Storm, Clone, Shore, Death, Flame, Mortar, Snow, Dark, Mud, Range and anything else with the word trooper behind it. But when or where did this thing appear? Or are Mud/Swamp considered the same?
  23. Probably not, but you dont see it often (im not researching) when two new sets come out around the same time. They want to balance multiple entry points as far as costs in a line, while also giving a reason for people to potentially buy multiple sets. Mando is a whole other thing, but I wouldn't expect it to be the same when there are only so many sets coming this year. Maybe she shows up later, and you can't rule out future variations either! Mando's are always changing there armor!
  24. Not to mention the Haslab Vintage Collection Sail Barge was $499! Maybe there are people who buy everything, but as much as I love Star Wars, I have never found the sail barge that exciting. I never find the MBS style sets exciting either, but I guess that is why they keep throwing out $400-$800 sets out all over the place. And don't forget the Star Destroyer and AT-AT in your list of $600+ sets. A Sail Barge would be 6 $600+ sets in 6 years! Insane
