I think it’s more likely that we’ll get a Borgin & Burke’s set, since literally no other Knockturn Alley shops are mentioned in the books or movies (there are a couple other dummy storefronts in the KA section of the theme park, but as cool as they are to watch and play with they wouldn’t make for a great minifigure scale display). On the bright side, that makes it much easier for Lego to do it whenever they feel like - since one small shop could easily be done as a moderately priced regular wave set. With 2021 probably being DH based, we could potentially see B&Bs as soon as 2022 (which would be rather fitting as that would be the 20th anniversary of its first appearance on the silver screen).

Unfortunately, unless there’s a sticker sheet E we don’t know about it’s unlikely I can see Gringotts getting printing or a different type of sticker since it has metallic lettering and it’s on a pretty tight curve, plus that’s the only signage for the entire building - I could even see there being more signage for Fortescue’s if they went with the ice cream cone design from the theme park (that would be a bitch to apply as stickers) - but Madam Malkin’s design is too similar to Ollivander’s and QQS and F&Bs for me to believe that it somehow didn’t get any stickers on the sheets we’ve seen.

The sets are officially going to be released on September 1st, but you might stumble across some stores disregarding the street date and putting them out whenever they get delivered. Diagon Alley is definitely minifigure scale, you can tell just by looking at the leaked minifigs and sticker sheets. The only guy who keeps trying to suggest otherwise at this point is a notorious troll who was banned for making fake leaks and harassing people on this thread (not because people didn’t like his suggestions like he and all his alter egos keep trying to claim ).

Exactly, I don’t think the 15-20 number people have been theorizing is out of line at all under the circumstances.
-
Honestly, I keep flip flopping on who’s more important for the scene - Arthur is the one who gets in a fight with Lucius, but Molly is the Lockhart fan (I suppose the ultimate solution is to knock out Percy and include both).
-
Honestly, the Dumbledore hair introduced in the 2018 Great Hall is so fabulous and flowing I kind of assumed they were planing on recoloring it for Lucius from the start

Based on the buildings we KNOW we’re getting: - Ollivander’s: Ollivander (from 2018), Hagrid (2018), Harry )in PS/SS casual clothes) (leaked) - Flourish & Blotts: Ron, Hermione, and Ginny (all in CoS casual clothes), Molly Weasley, Gilderoy Lockhart, Lucius Malfoy, Draco (CoS casual clothes) - Daily Prophet offices: Photographer (seen in CoS) Weasleys Wizarding Wheezes: Fred and George Fortescue’s Ice Cream: Fortescue (leaked) Quality Quidditch Supplies: Angelina Johnson and Lee Jordan (just because I really want them) Sribbulus: I got nuthin’ might be an interesting chance to give us Percy? Now the buildings we don’t know we’re getting but are strong possibilities: - Gringotts: pair of goblins (with different heads and torsos, preferably one who has half moon glasses like the teller who serves Harry in PS/SS) - Leaky Cauldron: Tom the barkeep, Doris Crockford (works at the Daily Prophet and we need more witches), maybe Cornelius Fudge (2019) I’m looking at the resulting numbers and... this is actually doable? Which kinda surprised me.

Agreed. Already reported him.
-
Well at least that’s something to look forward to. And they’ll show us all the back prints and alternate faces.
-
We don’t necessarily have Leaky Cauldron stickers though. Some people have theorized that the wall of posters and leaflets and the two single wanted posters from sheet B could come from the LC, but they’re grouped on the sheet with the stickers that are definitely from the Daily Prophet offices, and use the same dark grey background as another sticker on the same sheet that reads “The Daily Prophet.” I’m not saying that the Leaky Cauldron isn’t still possible, but those stickers could easily be from the outside walls of the DP offices, and certainly don’t provide the same level of evidence as the sticker that actually says “Fortescue’s Ice Cream” on sheet C.
-
The clear stickers tend to have a glossier look to them, and if you’re working with a brick color that’s hard to get a color match for on the printed sheet then using a clear base eliminates the necessity to do that. It’s also possible that there are some colors/qualities (like metallics) that they’re using on some clear stickers that need to be clear, and instead of making two different sheets with that kind of printing it’s cheaper to just do all the stickers with that type of printing in clear. Maybe the designers just like the extra depth effect the clear stickers give. We can’t say for certain until we see the set.
-
If there is a different style of sticker, like say, clear plastic ones like the the ones used on the Burrow windows, then they’ll be on a separate sticker sheet from those normal ones. And quite possibly be in a separate area of the factory where the person who snagged these four wouldn’t know about/be able to get their hands on them.
-
Wow. Where’d you find her? I know B&N and my local Lego store both gave me a September 1st release date. Did you find somewhere else sticking the set or is one of your local stores just not fussy about the street date they’ve been given?
-
And that’s why I personally suspect Gringotts has a printed sign or uses a different kind of sticker on a separate sheet. It makes more sense to do the entrance building as part of the nice big display piece that this D2C will be, and then do a separate play set next year that focuses on a dragon the entire trio can ride on and the Lestrange vault. It makes less sense to try and make a facade that can fit in with the D2C and playable elements like the dragon and vault in a single set next year.
-
More like they’ll be surprised when it does turn up - because we’ve already discussed multiple reasons why the name “Gringotts” might not appear on the sticker sheet despite being in the set. Also, there’s no way Lego will pass on the Gringotts dragon escape next year (they’ve had a buildable creature in every wave so far, I don’t see why next year would be any different), so even in the unlikely situation where they decided to skip Gringotts in the D2C it would be with the express intention of doing it in the dragon escape next year.
-
Given its relative size and intricacy that would be incredibly fragile. I can’t see Lego going for it, especially for a one off piece.
-
I’d forgotten about that possibility. Of course if there are any slickers with a clear plasticized base then they’ll be on a separate sheet as well. Could that also explain the Leaky Cauldron? After all, it doesn’t actually have a sign that says “The Leaky Cauldron” - it’s sign is a metal cutout of a witch stirring a big cauldron. The only way to make that in LEGO form would to put a black/dark grey silhouette on a clear banner piece, no?
-
The thing I remember about that Gringotts iteration is that they used gold for the lettering of the sign. Obviously it’s hard to tell if the sticker sheets have and metallic printing (because the pictures were taken with a potato), but if they don’t, could that have something to do with why Gringotts would have a printed sign instead of stickers?
-
Makes sense. Hogwarts almost certainly buys their school brooms and quidditch balls from there. I remember from touring London that shops that were patronized by members of the royal family would have the relevant personal crests on their signage, I don’t see why QQS wouldn’t advertise their contract with Britain’s premier wizarding school in the same manner.
-
People are just getting anxious because there aren’t any stickers that say Gringotts, and a dragon escape set was always high on the list of possibilities for next year. However, the dragon escape can easily be done without the bank facade, and the sign above the door to the bank could easily be printed. I’m not going to believe anything one way or the other until the set images are released (barring a goblin minifigure getting leaked I suppose).
-
So, looking at the sticker sheets, we’ve definitely got full signage for: -Scribbulus -Ollivander’s -The Daily Prophet offices -Quality Quidditch Supplies -Flourish & Blotts -Weasleys Wizarding Wheezes We've also got a menu from Fortescue’s Ice Cream, which may or may not be from an actual store front. Fortescue’s does have its name written above the front window, but it’s smaller than other shops and Lego might arguably have decided to focus on the giant ice cream cone used to mark the store in the theme park. Alternatively, Fortescue might just have a little ice cream cart he’s pushing up and down the alley, although that wouldn’t be based on canon. We also can’t say for certain whether or not we’re getting Gringotts. Out of all the buildings, the bank has the least amount of signage, so the lettering above the door could easily be printed, leaving us no obvious clues on the sticker sheet. It’s been theorized that the first few stickers on sheet A, that appear to be handwritten sheets of parchment, could possibly be bank contracts or something else from inside Gringotts.

About three weeks ago (the weekend before virtual comic con) Lego had a link on their VIP site for VIPs to submit questions for a couple of the Harry Potter designers. It was specifically stated to be for a ‘magical’ new release.
-
I agree, it’s not actually part of Diagon Alley, it’s been done as a stand-alone set before and has the selling power to do so again, and, frankly, getting it as a stand-alone increases the odds of getting random Death Eaters with it as opposed to just Borgin and the Malfoy’s.
-
Anyone got any idea what those 3 stickers above the Ollivander’s signage on sheet A are? They look like something handwritten on parchment.
-
If you look at pictures of Gringotts there’s actually very little that would need stickers/printing. Just the name over the front door to be honest, and that’s on a pretty tight curve so if Lego is doing it screen accurate they might have just decided to print that.
