To some extent there's a limiter on this- obviously Rivendall or Barad-Dur will have higher sales, but I think it would be hard to argue that the Gray Havens or Prancing Pony would sell better than Orthanc at similar prices. It has been 13 years after all, and many adults who have bought some of these new LOTR sets probably aren't even aware that there was an Orthanc set back then. And even for those who are, the cheapest fully complete Orthanc in the US on bricklink is $999.99. I doubt most fans would pay $500-600 more than a new orthanc would be nowadays for a used version of the old one. To say nothing of how expensive sealed copies are- the cheapest is almost $1200. It's important to remember that "Adults who buy lego" is a much, much larger group than "dedicated Afols who use sites like Bricklink", which is something that, at least in the star wars theme, is commonly brought up with all the figureless 18+ display sets that seem to sell well despite most people in the forum saying they'd just prefer normal system sets. Funnily enough, Star Wars went longer than LOTR did without Gondor without a set of the Massassi Temple/Yavin Rebel Base. 24 years. I agree that the main missing locations (Gondor and Barad-Dur) being covered means that the remakes are opened up a bit. I'd still bet on Helm's Deep for 2027. -
LEGO Star Wars Media Discussion - Spoiler Warning!

See, I could never forget that. I could forget something like Skeleton Crew just for being unrelated to most of the franchise, but Kenobi's creation of major plot holes means I can never forget it. Totally forgot about it. I don't dislike it by any means, it's just not my type of star wars story. It's not bad, though- the kid with the visor and Jod were both pretty cool characters I wouldn't mind seeing again. Understandable. We all also seem to have had different blind spots on our lists for the show we found the most forgettable, though I don't know if Mando S3 was yours or if you're just refusing to acknowledge it. -
Came back to grab the images for something and realized I'd missed a few responses, sorry about that! Thank you! It is a lot of fun, and something I think the newer and more accurate Grievous molds lost along the way. They definitely look better, but there's something fun about being able to put his head on a normal minifig. It's a good interest to have! Thank you! It came together almost by accident, but ended up working quite well. I'm pretty happy with it and will try to remember to implement it in future MOCs. It's one of my favorite parts of looking at people's MOCs too. User Veynom usually does a great job with that- I enjoy reading his explanation for why his TIE Callopie has so many rockets, or the creation of the clone medical corps, almost as much as I like seeing the actual builds. Thank you!

They still pump out live-action star trek shows- we've had plenty over the last few years- but the fact that you either aren't aware of them or don't consider them relevant enough to mention proves your point. Star Trek still puts out content, but the new content isn't very popular at all. The LOTR comparison is also apt- though I wouldn't be shocked if the Gollumn film got a few system sets.

LEGO Pokémon 2026 - Rumours & Discussion
Mandalorianknight replied to BrickBob Studpants's topic in LEGO Licensed
Exactly. And even then, regardless if you attribute any sort of sinister intentions to... the lego pokemon commercial... I would say that if somebody is so easily manipulated that a minute long commercial immediately convinces them to spend nearly a thousand dollars on lego they otherwise wouldn't purchase and "ditch all their adult responsibilities", there are clearly other concerns at play there that I wouldn't blame Lego for. The ad isn't misleading about the product. It's not aimed at small children who don't know any better. As far as commercials go it really isn't anything sketchy or concerning. There are multiple possibilities I could see. One is that they underestimated demand, but either somebody in logistics was able to find some space/reassign some machines so that they could have more copies of the set produced by the release date, or they decided to dip into retail/release stock a bit. Another is that it was just some sort of glitch and they hadn't run out of pre-orders yet. Either way, it seems to be doing very well- it might not be $30 million exactly, but lego and nintendo are both walking away from this with wheelbarrows of cash. I do think this is somewhat of a misstep on lego's part- they really should have put a $30-50 Pikachu out there as part of the release wave. The cheapest set being Eevee for $60 means a lot of kids and casual fans won't be getting any Pokemon sets, at least out of this batch. Pokemon is massive among millenials and older Gen Z, of course, but it's also pretty big with children, and they've essentially been cut out of the theme here. -
Wishlist: Future Star Wars Sets and Minifigures
Mandalorianknight replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
You and me both. I think the main issue with flat silver is just that not enough normal pieces exist in that color. We've seen stuff like the 2x1 curved slope in a number of sets in that color, and we've seen sets with primarily "pearl metallic" color schemes like all Lloyd's golden dragons in Ninjago. We would need some sets to get a recolor base out there, but if we could just do that, Naboo Royal Starship and the Razor Crest are on the table. Honestly, if they'd just do both the ships in the same wave, I think they'd have a good shot at covering the majority of the necessary part budget. PLEASE! That figure lineup especially reads like a dream lineup. Ackbar, Madine, Mothma, GENERAL LANDO? WEDGE? Nicely done, and an interesting thought exercise to come up with set ideas for a subtheme you presumably wouldn't be lining up to purchase. Though I think if smart bricks endure long enough to receive prequel sets, it'll probably start with clone troopers. I think we have really good odds at an AT-TE in 2027. These are a good way to get more balance out of the limited battle packs we get now. The 9849 remake would be especially welcome- I have my fingers crossed that it shows up this year. I don't have a whole wave or anything today, but just a couple sets to get some major-but-currently-missing ships and characters out there. (In the hope that Anakin's Delta has Grievous) Wampa Cave ($9.99): A small cave with a brick built wampa and Luke Skywalker. (The missing character is the wampa. I want a brick-built wampa. We can rebuild him. We have the technology.) Vulture Droid ($19.99): B1 battle droid, Kit Fisto V-wing vs Tri-Fighter ($49.99): Clone pilot, General Grievous (with cape), 2x Buzz Droid, Mace Windu TIE Defender ($79.99): Ezra Bridger, Sabine Wren, Vult Skerris, 1x Stormtrooper Commander. B-wing and A-wing at Rebel Command Center ($109.99): B-wing and A-wing with a small maintenance cart, crate, and holo console. Comes with 1x A-wing pilot, 1x B-wing pilot, Ten Numb, General Lando, and a Rebel Ground Crewer. Starkiller Base Raid ($119.99): Black One, a First Order TIE Fighter (which would somehow be our first generic FO TIE), and a small snowy forest diorama. Includes Poe Dameron (pilot suit), BB-8, Finn, Rey, Kylo Ren, and a First Order TIE Pilot. -

It'll have been 15 years since each of those released (assuming Helm's in 2027 and Orthanc in 2028). As @kuzyabricks points out, they're both extremely expensive on the aftermarket. And Helm's Deep was even a standard system set, not a big "UCS" set like Orthanc or the ones we're getting now, so it's not really different from, say, the Bag End set we just got compared to the old one. At the end of the day I think both Helm's Deep and Orthanc are a lot more iconic than something like the Gray Havens, Meduseld (They might be able to pull off minas tirith with a microscale front and figure-scale back/interior, but there's no way we'd get all of Edoras), or even Lothlorien. And since it's been a decade and a half, I don't think Lego would view the old versions as preventing new ones. If anything, I think the established secondhand demand they have would show lego there's a market for those locations. I think Helm's Deep could reasonably be done around the size of Lion Knight's Castle, if not a bit smaller, putting it at around the cost of Barad-Dur (so on the cheaper end of these sets). As for being a location where a big battle happened, I don't think lego's all that worried about having two sets based on "two of the most important locations in the films where big battles happened". Them both being fortresses is a good point, but Helm's Deep is much more of a traditional grey castle whereas Minas Tirith will likely be a microscale white city, I think they're different enough. If lego is that worried about them both being fortresses, maybe we get some sort of large Moria set? We've seen with the Batman shadow box that they don't have an issue making large caves, and there's a few iconic scenes they could represent there. The Book Nook might be a bit of an issue with that, though. I think Hobbit sets are definitely possible if these continue to do well. People might not be the biggest fans of the films, but something like the Lonely Mountain would probably do just fine. Though I wouldn't bet on Lake-Town. -
Actually, the mooncopter is unironically one of MK's tools. He used it a lot back in the 70's when he had a mansion to operate out of and land it on. His henchman Frenchie flew it, and it was basically an escape tool/way for him to bring in bounties when he operated as a bounty hunter. He's since gone for much more sci-fi looking jets (though still capable of VTOL), but we hear from Taskmaster that the OG Mooncopter was at one point crashed into a building to get to him- giving Taskmaster PTSD that prevents him from going up against Moon Knight from that point on, even when he's offered significant money to do so. These are all excellent, and I wish we'd get more in the vein of this. We know it's been explored with that AoU battlepack a few years ago. Glad to see John Walker made the cut. These are all excellent and I'd get all of them- my only concern is the hallway fight, given the amount of characters it needs, may need to be the larger $110 price point-ish diorama. Not many people have been pointing out the Rhino one, that's an inspired choice. The movie might not be all that popular but that final shot of Peter swinging the manhole cover at Rhino is a really iconic visual. Rivals S5 sets. Unfortunately there isn't as much set material as previous seasons, so I had to dip into the collector's base, which is featured in S5 but seems to be the focus of next season. Grandmaster's Garden ($22.99): Large Knight chess piece with chess garden terrain. Comes with Rogue, Gambit, Scarlet Witch (Year One) and Adam Warlock (Magus) Marvel Rivals Christmas Special ($54.99): Cabin interior with a large tree and fireplace, made as a holiday diorama. Includes a buildable Sp//dr (snowman), as well as Peni Parker (snow sp//der outfit), Squirrel Girl (Christmas outfit), Daredevil ("I'm not Daredevil" holiday outfit), Phoenix (Ice Phoenix outfit), and Bucky (Christmas outfit). Gambit's Heist and Devil Dinosaur's Breakout ($109.99): Large build of the Collector's display cases with a checkered battleground in front of it. The largest display case is for a buildable Devil Dinosaur, which has a function to break out of it's case. There's also a function to smash open the chronovium cabinet to grab the Doom Pact. Comes with Lady Loki, Capwolf, Iron Man (Year One), Pirate King Namor, Human Torch (Jack of Hearts), Angela (Ace of Spades), Emma Frost (Queen of Diamonds) and Moon Knight (King of Clubs), as well as Rogue and Gambit (Thieves' Guildmaster).

I think it'll likely be Helm's Deep or Orthanc, probably Helm's deep in 2027 and Orthanc in 2028. (I know Orthanc is visually similar to Barad-Dur, but it'll have been 4 years between them by 2028, and there being two towers is of course a somewhat well-known thing even among casual LOTR fans.) -
It's missing a few more minifigures than just that, unfortunately. I've been out of the game too long. I may or may not now have a BL wanted list of every jay minifigure ever produced that I check whenever ordering other parts from a BL store. (Which- guys, what are we doing? I could understand NRG Jay, but why is Jay DX so expensive when he came in multiple regular sets? Why is SOG Jay so expensive when he came in a normal set- he's not even a particularly interesting or lore-important design!)

Sure, but that's true of any star wars set. Realistically, it's got to be Zam/Jango/Obi-Wan/Anakin, right? Zam's already going to be a desirable option for collectors, and if you ask pretty much any kid, they'd rather have the mandalorian than the unarmed woman in a nightgown. Welcome to eurobricks! I would be shocked- aside from the summer sets seeming to be a real comeback for the theme, I think the dioramas have unfortunately died out. (I mean, fortunately in this case, unfortunately in general.) You know you're going to have to post a picture of him displayed once you get him, right? You can't leave us hanging like this! -
Marvel Superheroes 2026 - Rumors & Discussion
Mandalorianknight replied to Kaijumeister's topic in LEGO Licensed
I can't find what you guys are referring to- did a minifigure leak? I expect at least 3. At the end of the (brand new) day, it's spider-man. Spider-man accounts for about half our total marvel sets, no matter how well the movie does I think lego can be confident spider-man sets won't do poorly- especially if someone new (to sub-$350 sets) and desirable like Punisher is involved. -
It's Kai's Car in the Rebooted season. It looks like a large red sports car/convertible, with a lot of James Bond style gadgets. The standard ninjago hidden weapons/shooters, but most importantly a function that allows the driver to launch out of the front of the vehicle in a motorbike, like the Tumbler in The Dark Knight. That would definitely add some value to the set, and give it's inclusion in this legacy lineup some more weight. Seeing as the 2023 one was Samurai Lloyd, it could be pretty much anyone. DX Nya would be interesting but two exclusive legacy ninja suits in non-sets for Nya would be surprising. One thing that could be really cool is a golden weapons or ZX version of Arin or Sora. (Or Dareth- ZX Dareth would be so hilarious) Edit: I have received and built the Ninja Anniversary display. The set is almost a perfect set. Obviously, as has been discussed to death, the value is incredible, as is getting the full S1 cast+ Jay's mom in one set. One thing that hasn't been discussed as much is how good the build is- it's not a battle pack type of set where it's about the figures and the build is whatever, the monastery entrance is legitimately an excellent display piece- even if you only put 1-2 figures on it- and there are a lot of interesting techniques used and parts I'd only seen before in stud.io. The figures themselves are also all excellent- having them in-hand, I really do think going with gold for Jay and Cole was the right move, it adds a lot of team cohesion and the gold details added to the suits themselves mean the individual figures still look good even away from the team. I have a few, tiny nitpicks on it. They gave Jay a new head, but unlike Zane (who received that amazing new head on his human form), Jay is still based on the redesign. Why not give him back his old eyebrows? Jay's my favorite, and I'm still of the belief that he should be a redhead with a cut in one eyebrow, so it's definitely something I'm noticing that most people wouldn't care about, but if you're giving him a new head anyway, why not make it accurate? I also think Lloyd could have had gunmetal rather than gold. It's nice to have the additional team cohesion on Jay and Cole, but Lloyd is supposed to be the one who stands out, and gunmetal is a much rarer color to see on him than gold in general. I may swap his armor and crown out. But overall, a near-perfect set. How could it be perfect, you ask? A few simple changes to the minifigure roster. I present to you-

The US price point for Obi-Wan's fighter is $30, and it hasn't suffered any increases over it's run, so I do think there's a good chance Anakin's delta includes 3 figures as well. Since the deltas have always been at a lower price point than their interceptor brethren, and lego appears to still think $30 is a good price point for that ship, I wouldn't be too concerned about the prices of Ahsoka's eta or Bob's... Azure-Angel-but-not-azure when thinking about the new delta. At normal scale, I think we've actually had more X-wings that weren't red five! Since the disney era (once we started getting X-wings in movies/shows besides Luke's, and therefore sets besides "Luke's but it can have a few parts swapped to be Wedge/Biggs/Porkins), we've had 2.5 normal system red fives (2018 and 2021- 2024 I'll give a half point for being red squadron, but the fuselage and wing markings don't line up for red five) as opposed to 3 of Poe's x-wings (2015, 2016, 2019) and the aforementioned red-squadron-but-not-red five. This holds true for microfighters and polybags in that period as well. (Though interestingly not advent calendars, where Red Five dominates) For Red Five being the main X-wing, that's actually a little surprising. That said I will not complain at all if the next one we see is Black One or a Partisan/Blue Squadron X-wing. Welp, whatever the Anzellan spaceship set was GOING to be, this is what it will be Mocced into immediately after I get ahold of it. Malevelon creek would have gone differently if the anzellens had been dropped in to "hey hey!" the enemy clankers. That would be a cool idea- and while unlikely, since star wars is notoriously uncreative with planets, it could be possible that these uniforms are being used more for ash/dust filtration and despite the "snow" we see it's still a warm environment. But yes, there's a good chance they just use the normal helmet. I hope so too, and it's possible given summer sets continue to trickle out. I mean, the TIE avenger has sand green and tan panels on it, so it's not ENTIRELY grey and black. I don't mind the X-wings or Lambdas but the snowspeeders I feel need to be LBG to stand out against the snow like they do in the movie. Denmark's not included... what? Are the smart bricks going to rise up and take over? Why not sell the revolutionary new product in the country you're based in? (I know most likely this is just for supply chain reasons, but it almost feels like they're embarrassed and don't want their home turf seeing the smart bricks on shelves.) You lucky dog, you. Mostly makes sense, though I feel as though Poland is catching a stray here. I'd have imagined China would be getting these, too, given how hard lego's been trying to entrench themselves there. I wonder if there was some issue with the app being allowed in. Also, as @CloneCommando99 points out, it's wild that you can't buy the revolutionary new product in the country lego is based in. I'm still very happy that they don't take away from either the number of normal sets or the material they can cover, so I'm trying really hard to be positive here.... but c'mon, guys, that was the one win this system had over stuff like Vidiyo and Hidden Side. If any lego set was free I would absolutely get a fleet of it. Its all the same system, just throw out the smart bricks and build with the normal ones. -

It uses some really excellent techniques, but I think the engines still could use a bit of work. The ship is overall downsized a fair bit from the 2017 version, but has the same engine build. I do think intentional leaks are a common thing, but stuff leaking or getting accidentally posted on retailer sites can often just be chalked up to an employee at one of those sites messing up. Retailers do have to get set information ahead of time. The figure selection for Carson's X-wing definitely has potential- though ironically I'd rather have Trapper Wolf- most of which would just be a generic x-wing pilot- than any of the aliens or droids or hunters we could otherwise get. In theory, maybe, and I know this is tragically true with many of the older bionicle sets, but we're 7.5 years into the lifespan of my 2018 X-wing and it's bands are still stiff. (Now, I'm not opening and closing it every day and swooshing it around, but for at least the last year it's been displayed with the S-foils active and the bands being stretched, so I think it's still valid) Exactly (mostly- I'm fine with the TIES in either color scheme). The snowspeeders especially, given how clearly they contrast with the snow. I think they're inarguably LBG, even just looking at the databank entry image. Sand Red is an excellent color, and it annoys me that we have sand blue, sand green, and arguably Sand Yellow (Bright Light Yellow in my view, although lego somehow calls Dark Tan sand yellow), but Sand Red wasn't allowed to live. I agree it needs to return. Both- though the TBoBF armor is a bigger issue than the OT armor. For the OT armor, I think Sand Green is too bright. For the TBoBF armor, first, as you agree obviously Sand Green is an absurd choice and Dark Green throughout would have been closer, though still too dark too work. Regular Green might be the best of the 3, but looking at the mandalorian helmet from the 2020 battle pack, I think it's still way too vibrant. -

I'm going to be an even grumpier (though possibly younger) folk and say I'd rather they waited until next year and then gave us a new Red Five for the anniversary, but as this confirms the smart sets won't use up our chances of getting "dumb" representations of the same vehicles around their release, I really can't complain. Good choice- I suspect most people would. Ah, but one thing was so useless it escaped even your memory- where's the fist of Khonshu John Walker mandoknight? I know! Still a chance for a TIE ADVANCED! (I know, I know. This would be a good place for Jyn's "and the next chance, and the next, until the set slots are spent" quote) But the confirmation that we can have smart and normal versions of the same set on shelves is massive. While I still don't like the concept of smart sets, it completely takes away any and all annoyance with lego for me. It can be something that's just not for me, and since it's not impacting the sets that are for me, I really can't complain. I'll still poke fun at it, but there's no legitimate grievance I have with them anymore. -

Actually, for the X-wing I'm still on team white. Sorry. Though the best case scenario would be an implementation of a new color in between white and LBG. I'm wondering this as well- and I still haven't been able to find any pictures of the in-universe craft anywhere. If it's getting a set I assume Mando and Grogu get in the ship at some point and therefore it'll have at least a little bit of room for normal minifigures, but it would be kind of fun to have an anzellen capital ship that actually fits the $70 price point due to how little they are. I mean, you could make escape pods out of the 2x2x2 crates! I do hope that the AT-AT brings us a new stormtrooper helmet/mask setup. The ones in the trailer appear to have mcquarrie-style helmets with the heat masks being a separate element, so it would be cool if lego replicated that and we got something like a veers-type helmet with a neck attachment for the mask and goggles. On the topic of what color some of the OT ships should be, I've got an interesting question for everyone. What color would you most want added to lego's palette in regards to this theme, and for what application? You want accurate X-wings/snowspeeders/lambdas? You want Jango or Zam's cloth to be the right color? Personally, I'd want a new green for Boba Fett. He's just objectively not sand green- if anything, he's closer to dark green, like they tend to use for his torso armor. -

I don't know if the exchange rate is the same, but the TMAG Anzellen Ship is $70, which is about what most of the Slave One/ARC-170/U-wing/etc went for in the US (V-19 was a bit cheaper). It's definitely less though- none in January and seemingly none in August (though if I may be greedy I will hope there's one or two more normal system august sets, and/or an Ahsoka S2 wave in september that has some). -
It's also interesting that it's not a Rise of the Snakes set like most of the others (or a Titan Mech, the archtype of which didn't exist until S11). At the very least, this'll include some new Nindroids, right? But I wonder why they chose this, as now they either have to inaccurately put the ZX suits in place of the rebooted robes, or the set will include only exclusive figures that- to my knowledge- we don't have any indication will be re-used anytime soon. The designers have done an excellent job overall with this wave of legacy, so I'm having trouble seeing where they're coming from with this one but also assuming there'll be something here- I can't see legacy being 4 hydrogen bombs and a coughing baby, so to speak. The only thing I can think of is that they were pressed to include a Kai vehicle at this price point- and specifically a vehicle, not a dragon. In which case the X-1's benefit, I guess, is that it has the potential to provide us with the Overlord, who hasn't popped up since the last legacy wave. The Charger is also definitely one of those designs that seems like the perfect toy for a kid, which makes the 14+ label even more perplexing.

You do a good job, even in a second language. I wouldn't be so sure. I sell on bricklink, and lego doesn't take all that much of a fee. Certainly low enough that they'd make a lot more money from a set with lando on shelves than they would by skimming 3% off the top of bricklink sales of the fig. Trust me, I'm not happy about this. It's a bad look for what I'm advocating for if when they finally do a brick-built creature, it's... that. On a corollary, one could argue the smartest move for smart lego would be to make the sets normal dumb lego. Like the movie War Games- sometimes the winning move is not to play. It's just baffling- lego has to have the data on how well these grogus sell, and I between the constant sales on the january 2025 model, the low bricklink price of the 2021 one, etc, I can't see why they'd choose to try again. Maybe disney mandated there be a buildable grogu in the TMAG wave, or maybe they think they've finally cracked the code this time, but at the end of the day I just don't think there are all that many people interested in a grogu statue. It could be an issue, but if as predicted, the smart sets fail while the normal ones hold steady, I think we'll be OK. I can't imagine many parents looking at a $100 X-wing that's on shelves the same time as all these great $60-70 ships and going "let's get the kid that one". (And similarly, most smart sets have a low figure count compared to the price point of their "dumb" brethren, which I think is going to have a huge impact on what kids select) Yup. As I've said probably too many times now, the only issue I still have with the smart sets in terms of impact on our normal selection is that it resets the timetable on things like a normal advanced or cantina. But man... letting the summer info leak the same day was smart, because with everything coming, I really don't mind as much. Exactly. The sets are doing the imagining for you, and it doesn't make a lot of sense to me why you'd want that for the kids, especially with how much it jacks up the price. I do find that funny. It could easily be that the avenger design was in some way compromised from the start- I've always liked the idea that despite it's power it's still a glass cannon, and as such too expensive for a ship that'll still get blown apart if hit-, which leads to that "scale of the enemy" theme (This mission is extremely difficult, time-consuming, and important for cassian, but contributes nearly nothing to the overall war effort), but they never confirm anything like that in the show. I would be surprised if it didn't. A January 2027 battle pack would also be a great expansion in the vein of the 2022 snowtrooper pack, but it's of course much too early to tell. -

I mean, isn't that on the buyer, provided it actually is the Sauron minifigure? My point is, nobody's forcing you at Uruk-Hai Scimitarpoint to buy the overpriced secondhand minifigures (I mean, I hope they aren't). Is it extremely financially unadvisable? Absolutely. But unless the sellers are preventing people from obtaining the figure the official way (i.e. scalping by buying a ton of the copies of the set), they aren't depriving consumers of anything. It's simply adding an option to get sauron- a very poor option, but an additional option nontheless. I'm happy we're getting him at a cheaper price point- especially since I wasn't planning on getting Barad-Dur- and I don't feel bad for the resellers, but I don't think what they were doing is particularly scummy. Now, if the helmet gets scalped like the rex microfighter did because the resellers want to keep the price up, that would be a different story. The question becomes how many kids are interested in lego LOTR? Lego doesn't seem to think kids are interested in Castle in general, and I don't know how popular LOTR is with children. I know it's still fairly popular with older teens and young adults, but I don't know how much of that primary 6-12 demo has even read or watched it. -

"bleak to bliss" is a good way to put it It's so weird. Lego owns bricklink, they know how much he goes for there. We've seen them do Rex and Bane and other expensive figures, why not Lando, who's a major character in multiple films? Ah. Yeah, that's... that's really something. If there's a walking feature of some sort, while I don't think it was needed I could at least understand the legs, but the giant saddle is not something I think I'll ever be able to rationalize. It is going to be really funny when there becomes a huge rallying cry of "WE WANT DUMB LEGO!". But I'll be right there with you. Yeah, he's right to be upset with these. If they don't take up normal "dumb" set slots I'll be mostly fine, but even then, now we have to wait longer for a normal playscale cantina, or TIE Advanced :(. This is me with the snowspeeder. They just look grey to me. 75453's name just refers to the Libyan Government's somewhat understandable reaction to seeing that thing parked on a dune outside their border back during ANH's filming. I guess I'll now see what the Anzellan starship looks like, I still can't find any images. Is it a cool design? I'm imagining like a little pod that they fit in but if they're making it at the $70 price point, it's probably a large-enough ship with some weapons. It also implies it will be the best set of an already nice sounding wave if the precedent starships at that price point have set is to be considered. AT-AT is good, predicted for awhile but nice to have a number for it. Buildable Boba Fett... I'm not gonna lie guys this one might get me. I have a Boba collection- the brickheadz, the UCS Slave One, some of the minifigs, a Bandai kit- this is 100% personal bias, I don't like how many statues we have this summer in general, but this one I might pick up if it's anything like that last iron man. We are now literally at the point of multiple buildable grogus a year, but we can't get a buildable Jeff the Land Shark? What's funny is the new crest is essentially the same cost as the old one, accounting for inflation, with a 69 piece drop. It could easily be nearly a 1:1 remake. I refuse. I don't want Ozempic the Hutt, I want Gym Bro Jabba. Jeremy Allen White better make Grakkus look like a Muun in terms of build. Yeah, you've got me on that one. The classic shuttle is more iconic and I still think more likely, but the Sentinal would be a bigger upgrade. (And on a personal level, I already own the 2015 shuttle, which is pretty much perfect, so I would be more likely to skip a new one) The official pitch for The Mandalorian and Grogu movie. Alright, so what's the new news? $70 Anzellen ship- I still can't find what this thing looks like in-universe, but the price point hasn't let me down yet. Literal Third Buildable Grogu To Be On Shelves At The Same Time: I can't understand why this decision was made, especially given the 2025 one shelfwarmed off the bat. Is it life sized? It can't be, right? He's at least the size of a human infant at this point. $150 Razor Crest is fine, glad it's back on shelves As I said with the buildable Boba above... I'm still opposed to how many of this style of set we get, but Boba is one of the few I would buy. (Him and a GNK droid) Overall, mostly good. Lego may be doing some weird "smart" stuff, but the "dumb" sets are sounding excellent- the system playsets, at least.
