What do you think is going to happen to LEGO VW sets?
Collector245 replied to Collector245's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I didn't realize that VW owned that many other brands. Now I think there are lots more sets LEGO can produce that involve VW. I would still like to see some VW specific speed champions sets though. -
What do you think is going to happen to LEGO VW sets?
Collector245 replied to Collector245's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I agree that they could make some great VW speed champions sets, but I don't think we will see any more creator expert VW sets. -
Hello, I am curious what will happen with the LEGO and VW partnership. What sets do they have left to make. They have already made a few VW Beetle sets and a VW bus. What more could they make? I don't think LEGO will want to give the partnership away (considering that they have had it since the 1950s). William

Cool! I started around the same time then.

You have a nice collection. How long did it take you to get all the items?

Hi Welcome to Eurobricks. I collect many HO, 1950s, and 1960s items. What Lego HO scale items do you have? I have some too if you ever want to trade, sell, or buy.

Corner Garage (10264) or Downtown Diner (10260)
Collector245 replied to ks6349's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I would probably pick the Downtown Diner because it has a great interior and I really like the concept. -
What is your favorite Lego Theme?
Collector245 replied to Foreman's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I am most interested in 1950s Lego sets, but my favorite theme that is currently being produced is creator expert. -
I understand completely, I am the same way about a few of my sets.

Well if you think about it LEGO started making wooden toys and they were producing them at this time, so they had the supply of wood already. They also mostly made their boxes out of cardboard and sold the wooden boxes as storage boxes and large sets. It may have been more expensive to make their boxes out of plastic.

Is there currently any 1:1 fake Lego in the market?
Collector245 replied to ks6349's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Hi My guess would be that this is not a fake. People that fake the sets usually try and fake the rarest sets possible so they can make the most money off of it. I do not know if your set is fake or not but I would still be careful when buying because sadly there are a lot of fakes out there. Best of luck William -
I have good news for you! Even though they have heavy play damage doesn't mean they aren't still sought after by collectors. I might be able to help value them if you give me a list of the ones you have.

Hi, Faladrin My wooden box set is the earliest German Wooden box set produced. My set was sold just as the box but then was filled with pieces by the owner. My set has a few printed bricks in it but they are all in very good condition. I would love to see pictures of your set! Do you have any other sets like this?

I think it was one of the wooden box sets. Here is a link that shows what one of the wooden box sets looks like. link

Thank you! I am mostly focused on sets that were produced in that era, but I do still collect some sets like the Downtown Diner.

Thank you! I started off collecting modular buildings. Then I saw one of the 1950s sets one day, and I instantly knew that was what I wanted to collect.

Hi I have been on Eurobricks for a little while now and I thought it was best to introduce myself now rather than never. My name is William. I am a collector from the USA. I mainly collect sets and other items from the 1950s and earlier. I was wondering if anybody else collects from the same time period as me? I look forward to getting to know the community more!

Is there currently any 1:1 fake Lego in the market?
Collector245 replied to ks6349's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Hi I just want to say that this problem is also in the very early sets. (I collect them) I have also heard about a lot of faked modern LEGO. It would help if I knew what the set was, then I might be able to help. Best Regards, William -

Best site for Lego history?
Collector245 replied to KrasiniArithmetic's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Hello I also collect pre 1970 LEGO items. The decal on the side of that Esso tanker looks to be a replica. It may be that somebody found the Esso tanker then researched it and found out about the rare Norwegian version. Then they got a replica decal, put it on the side, then put the tanker up for auction hoping to make lots of money. If I saw the auction I would not bid on it, but I am not an expert. I would wait for LEGO Historian to reply before deciding to bid on it or not. Best Regards, William -
The wooden gun is a very early LEGO toy. Would you be interested in selling it?
