  1. Wow! That is huge! I am still wondering if it is glued though. That would help me figure out just what you have.
  2. @ToyInTheAttic Yes those are the pictures that I saw too. Do you have pictures of yours? Is yours in a box? Does it have instructions? Is it glued? I do not know of a set like this so if it is glued that means it was a model used for display in stores and it would make sense. If it is in a box or has instructions I am very curious because I have never heard of anything like this. Could you please post pictures because that would help me figure out just what you have.
  3. Welcome to Eurobricks! I am also a fan of vintage Lego (an earlier time period though). I have responded to your topic. I hope I am able to help.
  4. I think I found it in my copy of that idea book. Did you find this in a box? Is it glued together?
  5. @jclark50 Yes these look real. It was a good idea to check though. I have gotten a set that looked sealed and it turned out to be used when I opened it. It is really surprising to see the trouble that people go to to make sets look sealed.
  6. @MAB Your technique worked very well. I was able to get the tape off with only little to no damage to the box. Thanks for your help.
  7. What I meant was somebody wrapped tape around the top of the box. If I were to cut through it, the box would be ruined.
  8. Sounds good. I will try that.
  9. Hi, I recently got a window retailer box from the 1960s. I was wondering if there was a good way to take the tape off the sides without damaging the box. The box really is not damaged under the tape so I do not really know why it was put there in the first place. Any help is appreciated.
  10. Sounds good. I asked because there is another store I know of that sells slotted bricks but it is closed right now. I may wait to see which one can give me a better deal.
  11. @LEGO Historian I tried to lay it out correctly (with the bricks I had). Do you know anybody that is selling or willing to trade the Items I need to complete the set? (just some red and white slotted bricks and a set of tall classic windows/door)? If you do know somebody that would like to sell/trade for these items you have my email or you can send me a PM, whatever you prefer. I am sorry I can not post a picture because eurobricks has an image size limit. I have described the parts I need to the best of my abilities. Thank you for your help.
  12. @LEGO Historian Thank you so much. I was also wondering if the bricks should have the dogbone logo or the blockletter logo?
  13. Hello, I am sorry to bump such an old topic but my question is very relevant to this topic. I have a Lego Mursten 700/3A and I need help with the contents. My set is Swedish and seems to be a later version that was packed by the seller with earlier bricks. 1: this set has a mix of dogbone and blockletter font on the bricks. 2: This set has an ABB baseplate not a 700/e baseplate. 3: My set has a mix of 3 different colors of bricks while I have heard later versions only have 2 colors. Maybe @LEGO Historian could help? I have attached pictures below. If you need more information please feel free to ask. Thanks for your help, William
  14. I don't really know as I only collect older sets. I would rather pay up for printed pieces.
  15. Honestly, I think printed pieces are much better. Stickers are very annoying to apply and add a new factor in collecting sets with stickers in them.
  16. They should make some buildings with no interior so you can design it on your own. I agree they should make a shopping mall set.
  17. I like the idea of vehicle packs. As soon as you mentioned them that is the exact set I thought of.
  18. @pooda Ok. I would just like to say that I think all those ideas sound amazing. I would also really like to see a set involving mail, I have been thinking about that for a while.
  19. @pooda Good ideas but I don't know if ones like barbed wire transport or satellite repair truck will appeal to kids. They all sound great though!
  20. @LEGO Historian I received the bricks and tried again, here is how it turned out: Is this correct?
  21. @LEGO Historian The bricks are on the way. I will take more pictures when I get them and I am able to put them in the set.
