  1. Here's my collection in progress; I'm only collecting figures from the OT and PT, not CW or EU. I've been collecting for about a year, so I'm very happy with the progress my collection has made! As for the display itself, I used magnet bases as stands and they work quite well.
  2. Wow, I'm fairly surprised by these prices. $55 for the TIE? Seriously? And why wait until January 30th? Looks like the Naboo planet set and the Endor BP are the only definite buys for me, maybe Droid Escape.
  3. That would be excellent! I can't justify it if its more expensive than $30- it looks comparable price-wise to sets like Luke's Landspeeder, Droid Escape, and Republic Swamp Speeder which are all $20-$30. I think anywhere in that range would be reasonable, but if it is indeed only $20 it will be a definite buy for me.
  4. I totally agree. I think LEGO hit a good point in minifig design from 2005-2008. The minifigs were detailed enough to be distinguishable, but not overly so. Don't get me wrong, my 2010 Boba Fett is my favorite figure, but I just feel like sometimes simple is better, especially for a product like LEGO where imagination has always been emphasized.
  5. That's what I'm wondering about too. Most of the other themes' winter 2012 sets are out already so hopefully we'll see these before Christmas.
  6. I was wondering about that too. My guess is that they are the retailer-exclusive sets. If I remember correctly, we didn't hear about pricing info for the Naboo Starfighter or the Hoth Echo Base until shortly before they were released.
  7. It looks like EndorTM Rebel TrooperTM to me too. Thanks for the photoshop work!
  8. So I'm curious about a couple things: 1. Any word on a price for the Jedi Interceptor? I'm guessing it will be $30-$40, but I'm not sure if anyone's heard anything. 2. Can anyone read the writing on the top of the Endor BP box underneath the rebel commando? It looks like a name but I can't make it out...
  9. JediNews has a trailer for the upcoming Star Wars: The Old Republic game. Could this be the source of the rumored summer 2012 set? http://www.jedinews.co.uk/news/news.aspx?newsID=5873
  10. The new pictures look excellent! I can't wait to see ones for the planet sets.
  11. I completely agree about the Jedi Interceptor and Anakin figure. The Interceptor just doesn't look as good as the old yellow one to me, but that might just be because that's like my favorite small ship. And I also think that the "good" side of Anakin's head looks pretty evil- I don't understand why they bothered to give him two faces if they both convey the same emotion. But all of the other sets look excellent!
  12. I'm extremely skeptical about this list for a few reasons: 1. It seems way too early to hear about these sets. 2. There's no set that includes Queen Amidala (although that may be a retailer-exclusive) 3. Jabba's Palace and Cloud Car are among the most wanted sets among fans, it almost seems too good to be true that they're both included 4. There are no AOTC sets, despite the fact that this would be the summer wave that immediately precedes the movie's 3D re-release. This summer we got 3 PM sets plus Battle of Naboo earlier in the year, so it seems very odd that there aren't any sets from this movie. That being said, I've never seen a list on JediNews that wasn't at least mostly correct, so I don't know what to make of this. I would definitely be glad to see a new AT-ST set, and I can't wait to see what minifigures come with the other OT sets if they're real.
  13. If it looks anything like that it's a definite buy for me
  14. Ah, I see. And I agree that they'll definitely do Endor.
  15. How do you know there will be 8 planets? I'd say Bespin, Hoth, and Coruscant are pretty safe bets, and Dagobah, Geonosis and Mustafar are also somewhat likely. I'm not sure about Yavin and Endor though- they seem likely at first but remember that most of the action happened on moons of these planets, not the actual planets. But then again the Death Star was included, so I don't think it would be a longshot for moons to be as well.
  16. I'm not interested in the CW sets, so here are my thoughts on the movie sets: Endor BP- Not bad, I'm very happy with the figure selection of this BP (one can only use so many Zev Senescas) but I prefer the Rebel Commando heads in the Battle of Endor set over these. Droid Escape- Looks pretty good, although the escape pod looks bigger than I remember it. Glad we're getting some more sets with Stormtroopers that aren't too expensive. X-Wing- Some good improvements, the engines look excellent. The back doesn't look great, but hardly a big issue. Jedi Interceptor- Thank God this is only a preliminary picture, I almost freaked out when I saw CW figures. The ship doesn't look as good as the old yellow version though- too blocky and unfinished looking. Overall, I'm impressed considering these are preliminary photos, and the sets are likely to look better.
  17. I'm on your side actually, the blue lightsaber blades that I got with the Luke's Landspeeder set don't look quite the same as my other ones. They're slightly darker, I think.
  18. We got the Rebel Trooper/Stormtrooper BPs at the beginning of 2008, and the Hoth BPs at the beginning of 2010, so its quite likely that we'll get some ROTJ BPs this coming wave. But I feel like a Phantom Menace BP is unlikely, since the Battle of Naboo set sort of fills that need. So my guess is the TIE fighter, some set including Queen Amidala, two ROTJ BPs, and probably one more Phantom Menace set, one more OT set, and two or three CW sets.
  19. Very nice; I'm quite interested in the Naboo Starfighter one. Are the superpacks available in the US anywhere?
