I hope we see this one (from Dex's Diner)! I do love me some astromechs A complete R4-P17 minifigure would be nice too.
-
Agreed, it will probably be the same helmet mold as Boba Fett's. There are all sorts of sets Jango could be in- a Kamino set, Slave I, Geonosian arena, droid factory, or even the speeder chase from the beginning of the movie. One thought I had though- wasn't the third Fan Choice set idea a Slave I with a landing platform? Something like that could easily be revamped into a Slave I/Kamino set, although it may be expensive.
-
Sure does! I'm very glad to hear about the new Jango Fett, there was no way I was paying $70-$80 for one of those.

Here's an updated picture of my collection- about 3/4 of the way complete! -
I don't think the price has been confirmed yet, but that seems fairly likely. In the most recent winter wave we saw a $50, $55, and $60 set, so I think its safe to say the Rancor Pit will take one of those slots if the same pattern holds for this wave.
-
Great news! Any other inside info you can give us?
-
Where did you see that? I checked this page (LINK) and last year's winter rumors came out on a Friday, and the year before's were on a Monday...

Very excited about the Rancor Pit set! On another note, does anyone happen to know if the tower section of Jabba's Palace has any holes on the bottom similar to what we see in the throne room section? The reason I ask is because with the Rancor Pit under the throne room, the tower won't allow the set to balance as a whole... unless... there's another set under the tower. Seems like a perfect place for a droid dungeon

I think it looks pretty nice, but I probably won't buy it. Its just not iconic enough for me to shell out that kind of money. -
Same here, wow that is beautiful!

Hi all, here's my entry for the Astromech Workplace Contest, titled Astromech Alcove. It’s a MOC of an astromech droid's living quarters inspired heavily by the Disney/Pixar movie Wall-E. I hope you like it! Deep in the inner workings of the Death Star, R2-L7 returns to his quarters after a long day of work. Behind him, he carries his trusty lunch box, which he uses to salvage any interesting discarded items he happens to find on the Death Star. Home at last! R2-L7 has decorated his room with a string of Christmas lights that he found long ago. He also has an old television, plus a huge computer interface which allows him to monitor his assigned area of the Death Star twenty-four hours a day. On the TV stand sit two of his most prized items, a video tape of his favorite movie and a small plant that he takes great care of. A shelf on the side of the room holds all of the treasures R2-L7 has found over the course of his years of service. He could use a little more space! Some items of interest include a Rubik's Cube (custom decals), a soccer ball, and even a lightsaber! Uh oh, it looks like there's a problem in Sector 2. R2-L7 goes to his computer interface to diagnose the problem. Time to head out for an emergency call! Activate the trapdoor! R2-L7 hops in, into... His maintenance pod! It’s a small ship that allows for easy space travel between spots on the Death Star. It is held in place underneath R2-R7's home by a set of clamps. It isn't suited for long-distance space travel or combat, but it helps him get the job done! Anyway, that's my entry, hope you all like it! I think its finished, but I may decide to make some changes in the coming month. My favorite part is the shelf- getting all of those items to balance was quite an effort! Comments and constructive criticism are greatly appreciated.

Great work! I particularly like the stage area- very well done. -
I agree- the interior is good but the outside is what really shines in my opinion. Nice work!

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here

Does anyone happen to have a list of LSW vehicles that are in approximate minifigure scale? I know that the UCS Falcon and UCS Imperial Shuttle are, and I've heard that the system scale X-Wing, Y-Wing, and TIE Fighter are as well. Aside from that, I'm not sure, so any help would be greatly appreciated. -

The more I see this set, the more I start to like it. I still think its vastly overpriced if it does end up being $90, but the scene is quite well-represented. -
Hi all, here are some things I'm looking to trade: Here are some of the items I'm looking for at the moment: Wanted List I'd also be willing to accept cash via PayPal, as well as possibly some other Star Wars stuff that isn't on my wanted list. Let me know if you're interested!

Not bad! I'm glad to see that it will make a decent display piece too.

LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors

Personally, I'm looking forward to the Skiff and Palace most, but that's likely due to the fact that I'm not really interested in CW or EU sets. I do, however, think that the Skiff is one of the best-priced SW sets to come out in a while, so that's probably the one to pick up first in my opinion. -
Star Wars Chess Set - Attack of the Clones Version

Great work! My only suggestions would be to substitute Super Battle Droids for the Tusken Raiders, as they are more affiliated with the CIS. Although I do understand your reasoning for including the Tuskens. -
Very nice work! The mini models are excellent

Nice review so far! The minifigures look great, but I somewhat agree that this level of detail isn't what LEGO is about. I'm anxious to see how well the set resembles the actual palace from the back.
