  1. One small thing to add to the ''DC is dying'' conversation: if Batman didn't sell well like stated here, why tf would they give him his own standalone movie?!
  2. That's why I said 'most likely'. The MCU is a lot more popular and mainstream than the comics, it's the obvious choice
  3. Don't forget the printed 1x1 round tiles
  4. We've known that for a few days. Mark Stafford confirmed it
  5. Not as a print but there is a sticker of it in the Hogwarts Express set
  6. I'd die if we get Carnom in a set The LEGO games with original stories are a treasure trove for possible sets. Why LEGO hasn't made sets based off the storylines of their games is beyond me
  7. If we're getting a Marvel CMF it would most likely be based off the MCU and they'll probably stick to the movies
  8. Doesn't work for Lucius imo. It should be a new piece with the hair coming to the front as well, that would be reusable for pretty much every single time we see him. Anyone?
  9. Definetely agree, the games use the same design
  10. The setnumber attached to a possible MoM set is the same setnumber attached to the D2C
  11. I'll make a list to answer each thing: - Malfoy's gang or the Death Eaters have been suggested but the hint is too vague to pin down just one option - Pansy, Crabbe and Goyle are not in any of the sets so far - The Department of Mysteries Battle set doesn't exist, that was speculation turned into a false rumor - The Room of Requirement includes Harry, Luna and Hermione. Luna and Hermione both have their Patronusses. Neville is included in the CMF and Astronomy Tower though
  12. Well to drive the discussion back to topic there is something Diagon Alley related we actually haven't discussed yet: exclusive printed parts. Magical Me? Shop signs? WWW products? Reuse of the path print from the GWP? What do you guys think we'll get? Note: new prints on figures don't count!
  13. There has been no new info for a while now except for some vague hints from Kingnono so how exactly is saying the discussion is getting stale rude? Especially considering we're finally discussing something new that still fits within the thread and you are the first one to tell us to go back to topic. And sure, I've shared my thoughts on the info we have but I have never said to anyone not to share their opinion so I don't even know why you're implying that. It's a forum, if I didn't want other people to share their opinions I wouldn't be here in the first place. But as this has absolutely nothing to do with HP we should go back to topic.
  14. As long as Batman doesn't die and keeps pumping out new stories this theme will go on and looking at the comics that will not happen anytime soon because his plotarmor is ridiculous
  15. Oh I completely get that, even for people like me who have been following the 2020 news since the beginning it's hard to always keep track of everything. I just need the pictures to surface soon (wich will probably happen with the next 3 weeks) so the Diagon Alley speculation can get a break for a while. I'm bored out of my mind because of the quarantaine and need something actually new to discuss
  16. The usual stuff, going after sites and youtubers showing pictures of the set
  17. These sets still complement the 2019 sets and the upcoming wave so there's no reason not to talk about it. It's not like there is much to discuss anyway besides the DA speculation that's basically the same every single time. But I hope Crookshanks understands the whole EOL thing now so we don't have to continue it.
  18. Looks like LEGO isn't happy about the WW84 set leaking
  19. I see you're not really familiar with the whole 'assortement and EOL' thing, but what you're describing is not how it works. The shelfspace is usually set up per theme so depending on the size of theme X that theme has a specific amount of shelf- and storagespace. This effects storeshelves, the stores' stockrooms, warehouses, distribution warehouses, factories etc. Because LEGO adds well over 100 sets to it's assortment every year some older sets will have to retire to make space for the new ones, those sets are on the EOL list (End Of Life). Usually normal sets (so not D2C's like the modular buildings you mentioned) have a lifespan of 2 years or shorter with an exception here and there. If a strong selling theme could take the shelfspace of other themes like you said they could the amount of themes LEGO produces would lower significantly and a big chunk of storeshelves would be filled with LEGO City sets. It's just the way things have been for years now. For Harry Potter this means there is a high chance of the 2018 sets I mentioned a few posts back going into retirement at the end of the year.
  20. First of all, have you been living under a rock? There are 3 more Batman sets and we have build and minifigure details for all of them. Second, do you realise how incredibly unrealistic your sets are?
  21. There is a lot more contact between workers than you'd think when it comes to picking such orders, even with a small amount of people working.
  22. I wouldn't say it's just behind Marvel. The Harry Potter movies got around 9,1 billion dollars behind Star Wars' 10,3 billion. Marvel meanwhile has grossed over 22,5 billion dollars! That's more than 3 billion dollars more than Star Wars and Harry Potter combined
  23. I think they'll just be DH based with a bit of creative differences. At the pricepoints of the upcoming wave you could fill all of them with DH related sets: - 20: tent - 30: small Battle of Hogwarts section - 70: Gringotts escape - 100: another part of Hogwarts - 40: another brickbuilt creature similair to the upcoming Hedwig There is enough in the 2 DH movies to represent here, if not they could always throw in a random scene from another movie like they did this year. While many people her want Malfoy Manor I just don't think that's going to happen. But it's a bit early to start speculating on next years' sets when we haven't even seen those coming out in 2 months
  24. Even ignoring the AC that makes a lot of sense and makes me feel much more confident about my thoughts on the EOL list for Harry Potter this year. Next year is Deathly Hallows so Snape will definetely appear in at least one set there
  25. The 2019 sets will definetely remain on shelves untill next year but I'd expect most 2018 sets to retire in the second half of 2020. The Great Hall is still very much the flagship set of this theme so I would expect that one to last at least another year but the other sets (Whomping Willow, Hogwarts Express and Quidditch Match) will most likely end up on the EOL list for 2020. What you're saying here is very conflicting. In order to get new sets they have to create shelfspace, meaning some sets will have to retire. As I said above: I fully expect all of the 2018 sets except for the Great Hall and D2C to go out of production in late-2020
