  1. The improvement is most visible in the minifigures we got this year but I doubt it'll get any better than this. The actual builds of the sets aren't influenced much by a slightly increased budget so I doubt we'll see a lot of change there.
  2. I don't mind the existence of the LoIN show, it exists and I enjoyed it. I do not however think that they needed to waste 1,5 wave on it. I get what they were going for with the show (getting kids interested in the franchise) but as proven by the Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom sets it's not hard to make kidfriendly sets based on a more ''adult'' or at least teen oriented property. For almost every LoIN-based set LEGO made I can think of a similar set they've could've done using the movies. The Baryonyx set for example could've come with Claire, Franklin and 2 hunters and a build for the Nublar bunker instead of the so-so builds and meh figures we ended up getting. The Batmobile in the Gallimimus set could've been the visitor truck seen in the first film: Stickers aren't necessarily a bad thing but in the case of Wu's Lab they are. Stickers should really be used to add in small non-essentail details but even if they are important it can work, in Wu's Lab however every single one of those stickers is absolutely necessary to make it look like a lab (as pointed out by @mon-o-mat). It also doesn't help that the stickers in that set are clearbacked, which means they're a pain to apply.
  3. I got the same mail and as MM is from Dublin and I haven't ordered anything else it must be my CMF box In other news: Crimes of Grindelwald is coming to Netflix on September 25th (at least in the Netherlands, idk about other countries)
  4. Fans who actually believed that were fooling themselves from the start. If they'd add a grunt option they would have to remake pretty much every single cutscene in the game.
  5. I 100% agree with this
  6. My order from August 20th just shipped
  7. Imo they've found a good balance of physical and VO humor. The comedy aspects may have been a little better in the old games but I found the story poorly communicated most of the time and it gets boring fairly quickly. It's a remastered version of 2 games released in 2010 and 2011 so you're definetely looking into it way too much
  8. I'd love to do that but buying one seperately would cost 20/25 euro, with such a ridiculous price you might as well wait for a sale so you can purchase the entire set My main reason for not liking the 2019 and most of the 2020 sets is because they're non-canonical, poor designs that were made into sets even though there are hundreds of ideas from the movies themselves left ignored. In the Dilophosaurus set I kinda like the Dilo itself and the little stand is nice but the price, figures and drone kinda ruin it. The Baryonyx set is just incredibly uninteresting: meh figures (2 of which aren't even canon), a poor scenery build, a sad little camper and a decent jeep, all for the ''low'' cost of 65 euro The Trike set is basically the Baryonyx set but worse: poor price, only 1 good figure and downright awfull looking builds. The only things worth getting about these last 2 sets are the dinosaurs and maybe Red and Masrani. The T-Rex Mech is downright the worst Jurassic set LEGO has ever made. The figures are meh (Claire's new variant is the only one worth getting imo), the baby raptors are fantastic so I bought those off Bricklink, don't even get me started on the build. The volcano is a downright awfull mismatch of a couple of small pieces, some BURPs and a poor playfeature. The mech doesn't fit with the franchise at all, whoever thought that was a good idea should stay away from this franchise in the future. The T.Rex itself isn't an interesting variant and price is once again an issue. Dr Wu's Lab is decent at best. The price is great but other than the baby dinosaurs there's not much there. Bland/uninteresting figures, downright awfull build and tons of stickers. I wouldn't put much weight on my thoughts about LEGO Jurassic potentially ending after the JWD wave, it's possible but it's not like we've got solid confirmation of that.
  9. The 2018 was by far the most accurate and usefull wave of them all and therefore my favorite. Outside of the dinosaurs and the new Claire figure there was nothing for me in the 2019 wave, I'd like to get the Trike and Bary sets for the dinosaurs themselves but the builds are horrible and figures meh. Still hoping I'll at least see the Bary set at a good discount, it's a beautifull dinosaur both irl and in LEGO form!
  10. I'd lower that number if I were you, just to prevent disappointment. Five new molds across 4 sets is pretty rare in licensed themes in general and Marvel has less budget than most of them
  11. But even that argument has it's flaws. I for instance never cared about this franchise untill I saw TFA back in 2015, that got me hooked and here we are 5 years later and I'm a huge SW nerd (I wonder how many people here can say that they've read all of the canon comics for instance ). TFA is what got me into Star Wars, I love the sequels, I love the prequels, I love the originals. Every single one of the films has it's pros and cons and yadayada. But even as someone who started out with the sequels I 100% agree with the people who say the Mos Eisley Cantina deserves this MBS set and if I had enough budget left to afford it I would definetely get it!
  12. That would be great, it's been taking me months to complete Years 5-7 as I find it hard to enjoy it with those awfull grunts. I may be in the minority here but I am extremely glad that they stepped away from them
  13. Uhm, what? People who started with TPM are just as likely to buy LEGO sets as those who started with ANH, it really doesn't matter.
  14. Fred is the one with the gambling booth, George has the Marauders Map
  15. Regardless of wether or not they fit well together I'd say the 2019 wave is the worst one of them all with a grand total of 0 good sets. The 2020 wave was better but still not great with 1 good set and 1 decent one
  16. QQS' pink second floor doesn't look great in pictures but irl there's nothing wrong with it. If there's one thing to complain about when it comes to that part of the build it's how boring it was to build
  17. I hope so too but I wouldn't expect much, it's still Marvel we're talking about
  18. The GWP that coincided with the release of Diagon Alley was a Hagrid and Buckbeak Brickheadz pack, even though the Leaky Cauldron's brick wall (a.k.a. the entrance to Diagon Alley) was basically screaming to be a GWP set. GWPs don't always make sense.....
  19. 2018 was a movie wave so those sets had a higher budget than the 19 and 20 waves. That's not to say a lower budget has to result in worse sets though, as the Gyro station set shows, but sadly that exact problem does apply to Jurassic most of the time. Whenever a set isn't based on a movie there's a good chance it won't be good I'm personally not a fan of City either, loved it as a kid but these days it's just old and constantly repeated designs sold for ridiculous prices. Building your own park if you want one is definetely a better decision than waiting for LEGO to make more sets, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if this theme gets canned once the JWD wave has hit shelves.
  20. Eh, the GWP isn't that special. It looks nice but I really don't see why anyone would want to go out of their way to get it, should be incredibly easy to bricklink if need be.
  21. Looks like a great idea but if I imagine that at a normal scale it would probably be around the same size as Diagon Alley. I really don't want to get into the iconicity argument again but I can't see a Hogsmeade set at a higher pricepoint than 250 and even that's pushing it
  22. Yes please! I desperately want to get an official figure of Katie We were talking about characters we haven't gotten at all yet. Werewolf Lupin is just a variant
  23. That's a pretty solid list, I'd love to see that! But if there are only 2 FB sets I feel like we're more likely to get 1 CoG and 1 FB3 set just like they did back in 2018
  24. Best case scenario is reserving the bigger sets of the wave for mostly non-Hogwarts sets as there are still plenty of things they could do (Durmstrang ship, Malfoy Manor, Ministry of Magic, Shrieking Shack, Hogsmeade, more DA shops, Gringotts, Grimmauld Place etc). Then just do whatever they want with the small and medium sized sets. And as mentioned dozens of times before it would be fantastic if they at least tried to do some proper battlepacks.
  25. I'm gonna have to be honest and say that I'm also not all that excited for the Bell Towers. I'm personally planning to tear down all the Hogwarts castle sets once this theme is done so I can build a physical version of how I imagined book-Hogwarts would look like and with the 3 main structures (Great Hall, Clocktower and Astronomy Tower) out of the way most of the castle stuff I want are just figures and rooms (CoS, PS challenges, classrooms etc). That's not to say that I won't be picking up a Bell Towers set if it does come out, I definetely will, but I feel like most of the interesting stuff that hasn't been done yet for the main castle are just interiors. The only thing outside of the main castle I can see them do are the Boathouse, Owlery and some more Forbidden Forest sets.
