  1. Field Notes The hand of Gerald Talrich, Blue Guard Sergeant It's become apparent that we The Blue Guard have been tasked with the duty of holding the very center of the battle field, as we were told by Commander Al'leden in his words "We're going to march up the middle and the other troops be damned if they get in our way!". I hate him so much, he's a pompous arrogant idiot who cares more about how his uniform looks than results. I've been in the Blue Guards nearly as long as He has and Work my way up the ranks to command my own squad but Al'leden was never a sergeant, he has no charisma and he got his promotion purely on pomp. The Blue Guard has been in decline since he became commander it's clear as day, A few years ago we would have wiped the floor with the Red Guard even with their magically enhanced weapons. He's a blight on our Reputation and my only hope is that he dies on this field so When Dugal wins back Eastgate we may have a Competent leader again. We Engaged the oncoming line as per orders not without help though and were in not for these men I doubt we'd have held on against their superior weaponry. DSC_3532 by skaforhire, on Flickr First Among them was a man with a Glowing Blue axe that seems to Rival even the Golden Axe of Eastgate in power as I saw it cut a fully armored man in half with ease, the mans name is apparently Torgonius as one of my men had the chance to ask before the battle, and saw me admittedly slack-jawed at the sight of him running headlong into the front line his men in tow fearlessly engaging the Red Guard, the most astonishing sight was seeing him get stabbed and then without missing an opportunity he pulled the sword out and sliced the mans head off and kept fighting, This is the type of man the Blue Guard need as a commander. DSC_3506 by skaforhire, on Flickr Among the center field we weren't blessed with the Archers Sir Cannondale was given command over, as Dugal and Paulos thought the crown would make a good pot for them to look over the battle field they were sent to the other side of the road, but among some of the men Dugal's allies sent was a man named Nar Grisan, a more extraordinary Equestrian Archer I've never seen even among our own ranks, He has impecible timing and an almost superhuman ability to pick out targets through all the haze of battle, some of it may be his elevated height but he's worked in colaboration with our mages to ensure every one of his shots fells it's target, I've only seen one of the men he shot survive, A mysterious Knight I've never seen before. DSC_3504 by skaforhire, on Flickr While we may not have Quantity we were blessed with Quality when it came to Archers as the only other archer we were given to our line was an Elf chariot driver named Elvrich, Reports say he's been the one raining down arrows on the Red Guards back line softening them up. Through the blood and sweat on my brow I've been seeing the Red Guards heavy division fall to hails of arrows raining down like needles peircing even then coarsest of canvas. I've no clue how many he's put down but it's made my job significantly easier knowing that behind the man I'm fighting there will be his dead ally. DSC_3492 by skaforhire, on Flickr I'd be remiss if I did not praise the Minotaur at our side their strength is a boon against Petera's fel-magic forces, where my men must look for an oppening in the armor the Minotaur go through it with their piercing tridents, it's a sight to behold, that much power is terrifing and inspiring at the same time. DSC_3522 by skaforhire, on Flickr And still I feel the worst is yet to come, at least Al'leden is leading the charge now that he's caught up and done cowering in the back, My best guess is he saw Dugal would be able to see us with out him in the line and realize what a mistake it was to put him in charge.
  2. Field Journal Of Paulos, Part 1 We'd finally established a line not a moment to soon as the enemy came marching down the road not ten minutes later, I decided to take the opportunity to rally the troops, my brother declining the honor he seemed to be a bit destracted and insisted on staying near the river with the Alleenriders. He also keeps looking over at that strange mage Hailfist brought, it's most pecular. As I rode out in front I began my speech to the men on the road knowing that they were most likely to see battle first and therefore most likely on edge. DSC_1310 by skaforhire, on Flickr "Men we meet here today on this battle field as Equals, you who have come to the aide of Eastgate are not my subordinates you are my brothers on this battlefield. As we face my brothers Armies today we do so knowing the cost we will endure, the price we must pay and the allies we will lose. Do not let their sacrifices be in vain for today many of us may die, but we fight for a cause greater Than Eastgate, greater than Kaliphlin, We fight for the independance of all our Kingdoms, all our independant Cities....." No sooner had I finished my speech than the battle was on. As we made our slow advance I saw many of the men hesitant, many of the mercenaries held back waiting for their employers to move, as they did the Dreadfist thundered down the road, I decided I had to Lead by example No one wants to be the first dead man on a battlefield, Myself included, but I've a responsiblity to these men so I moved forward ready to advance into the Dreadfist flank. A band of brave spearmen Set up in front of the titans ready to take the impact of the charge, all of them feel but I later saw a few get up with the help of a scarlet sister. Those brave spearmen Singlehandledly routed the advance of the dreadfist. Unfortunately I did not see part of the battle as four of the Dreadfist charged me with lances, A mage marking me as a target after he shot me with lightning thankfully my shield absorbed the spell. But it did not save me from the tearing of flesh those lances caused, I was fighting for my life against the four horsemen, I could only see red as blood splattered everywhere. DSC_3429 by skaforhire, on Flickr The moments felt like hours as I took my swings hearing the clash of Eastgate folded blacksteel, I suddenly felt all the pain lifted from me and my eyes were clear, I saw the Dreadfist torn to shreds and the horrifing sight of a gnome ripping one of their juggulars out with his teeth as he bashed in the Commander Tannens Skull with one of his maces, this gnome, this creature is perhaps one of the most horrifing sights i've ever witnessed, It wasn't the acts he was performing, but the fact he was doing it with the most gleeful smile and horrowing laughter one could ever imagine, if he were not on my line I surely would order every mage we had to "kill it with fire" as he scares me more than any of my brothers monsters. DSC_3417 by skaforhire, on Flickr DSC_1373 by skaforhire, on Flickr DSC_3431 by skaforhire, on Flickr As the battle rages we've seemed to clear the charge on the road just in time for a second wave I can only hope the First Infantry can pincer the line. ~Paulos.
  3. Sergio's Pre battle report. We've learned of a force coming in to relieve the seige on Eastgate, Dugal and Paulos both seem determined to ride into the relief. My better judgement tells me at least one should stay behind to run the seige, although Dugal said the Alleen Riders could handle it, I'm not so certain, They have no seige equipment and my Machines wont be ready for another three days, Despite this Paulos has asked me to come along, As we were riding trying to find the best, and most likely spot where we'd meet Peteras relief a Man named Garret Hailfist approached us on the road, with three archers and a strange hooded man in tow, They went up to Dugal directly with no formality, Something I've not seen anyone do to any of the ruling class of Eastgate and pulled him away from the traveling party. Apparently what Hailfist had to say was important enough that Dugal didn't get mad, in fact he came back within three minutes looking a bit relieved and the hooded man had separated from the others for quite some time as he only returned an hour before we expect Petera's forces to arrive. DSC_1317 by skaforhire, on Flickr I've learned the Hooded mans name to be Lucent, and he is apparently the only native mage on the isle where the battle of khordeem took place, What he had to talk about I haven't a clue but another Mage in the fight against Petera can't be anything but helpful even if he isn't from the college. Although while issuing positions the yetis seemed to be very fond of being near him, I'm not sure if they were glad they were near water or if there was something else there. A few other troops that caught my eye were the Gnomes ..... They creep me out. They are always smiling. It's just not natural they aren't secretive of their battle lust one even shouting, "I'll drink their blood from their skull!" and then there is their chanting, it's the most haunting thing I've ever heard. I can barely describe it, only to compare it to an evil religous prayer. There is definitely something off about them, But I believe it's better they fight for us then Petera, Knowing Petera's penchant for large deadly creatures he'd probably put those gnomes on the monster he left loose in Eastgate. I'm unsure what to expect, But I can only assume the worst, In case I die I've put my affairs in order.
  4. It's okay Gabe he keeps calling Dragonfires troops LegoPandas and ticking me off. I need to write three reports myself, I've just been tired. later tonight hopefully, I'll get Garret's, Sergio's, and Paulos' reports up. Also yeah the gnome leader is a wrecking ball even if he does have to kill the horse before he gets the rider haha.
  5. I both love and fear the gnomes. As for Gleambeam yes as long as he's in the battle he will get a partial spotlight because it makes for a funny story. Gabe, since both you and Robuko sent so many troops I kind of ended up making you two the Right flank, nearly all your soldiers should be in the desert with the exception of the assassins, minotaurs, and the heavy infantry. the minotaurs being on the other side of the road using the First infantry as fodder until they get into battle and the heavy infantry preparing to take the force of the impending charge, Sheilds ready and spears out. The battle will have a few different surprises some coming all the way back from kordeem,(If you followed that story), so bare with us if the updates are a bit slow.
  6. Heh, Every weapon every figure every animal every peice of armor, every bonus stat has a point value. And beyond that there are different types of soldiers. Knights, bedouins, samuri, etc. all have a special ability or two that makes them better for certain rolls although all have varying point values. along with races having different stats.
  7. He's not Jakon the Invulnerable for nothing. On a side note he's also one of the best warriors on dugals side.
  8. I'm Ska's younger brother, and Sergio hates drow and isn't all that diplomatic haha.
  9. (All out of character) Well he is a master of escape, he has to be since he's a mercenary, He'll find a way out without being seen. I'll even do a moc if I still have enough peices (we did just drive about half the collection to ska's house). And yeah the Cover is paper I didn't have enough time to cut a cloth one unfortunately, else it would have been mitgardian colours. As for the cart all the men that popped out actually did fit in I made sure, along with the two battle axes, the shields, the swords, and even a few extra crossbows. It's deceptively roomy. The stairs were designed to fly out for surprise, they lock in and are basically spring loaded but on a bigger scale. There are a few more surprises it hold as ska has said, I'm actually kind of proud about that. That being said I'd never attack anyones sigfig without consent, that'd be rude. His plan is alot less violent.
  10. I did a bit of a story for Sergio's trip to Mypa Stedor, My brother did the pictures and helped with the environment but I was focused on the wagon. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=83508 Sorry I can't remember how to make a text link.
  11. On a dusty almost forgotten road in Kaliphan Sergio and his men moved there wagon at a slow pace to not tax the horses, the cargo they carried meant to be gifts to DaMaximus, a man Sergio had never met and only heard a bit about. In his head he scoffed at the idea of calling any man Lord, it was a word plain and simple something to indicate land or supposed power. Sergio muttered to himself, "We're all equal in death." Thomas, the man guarding the treasure in the back, laughed knowing exactly what Sergio was thinking. He'd often thought the same but never acted on it, he couldn't afford to not serve a house and therefore had to play the game of titles. Sergio saw it from a kilometer away sprouting from the ground a blood red eye sore and he knew exactly what it meant. He yelled back to Thomas, "We have an infestation! Prepare yourself!" As they approached the citadel, the top of a building and an entrance into the underdark, the Dark Elves got into a position stupidly thinking they'd surprise the caravan. Sergio could only keep heading forward until they decided to make their move. The dark elves finally made their move the leader swiftly raced up and cut the horses harnass freeing them from the wagon. The horses quickly raced away from the danger as the wagon halted to a stop in the middle of the road. The Dark elves quickly surrounded the wagon spitting threats of enslavement upon the men and speaking in a ghoulish tongue. Sergios face went from calm to pure disgust as he saw this ... thing trying to talk to him, over the months he'd been working with Dugal his Hatred for certain things had tappered he'd learn to come to respect some Orcs even though they may be dead now he would never forget the ferocity and skill he'd fought with, but that did not extend to these ugly creatures and their ways. The discourse started quickly, with the Dark elf saying something in an incomprehensible tongue. Sergio was quick to reply: "I don't speak in demon tongues she-beast.", he insulted. "If you want to make demands you best do it in a real language." The Dark elf bitterly replied, "You'll soon learn to respect your new master slave, come quietly and you'll keep all your body parts." "You're worth so much more in one peice, at least as a worker", she cockily continued. "Although the mages might have use for a sacrifice." Sergio could only laugh as this thing made ridiculous demands of him. "The mole womens going to enslave us Thomas!" he yelled back laughing. Thomas laughing said, "This one looks like he's already been cut it half!". "He must be half a meter shorter than me!" laughed Thomas. The dark elf leader quickly shouted, "You dare insult me! You will not live to see another day!" As she finished her sentence the wagon started rumbling. "You're already dead she-beast.", said Sergio calmly. Right at that moment the stairs were pushed out. As they unlocked the stairs quickly flew out smashing the first dark elf into the ground leaving a dark smear on the stairs and embedding the despicable creature into the ground. Thomas laughed as he saw the wretched thing twitch knowing what it had planned to do was still running through its head as it drew it's final breath. The men quickly surrounded the second one giving it no time to react and one of them slit it's throat. Watching as it dropped to the ground without a single word as it's eyes fell back into it's head. The men stabbed it in the back for good measure and for a slight bit of pleasure knowing they were adding insult to injury. As they finished half the men came to the front of the wagon and surrounded the leader. She shouted, "The Matriach will hear of this you wont keep me prisoner long!" Sergio laughed, "You think I'm a noble!" All the men laughed as the dark elf looked around. "You will pay for my imprisonment!", the dark elf said. The men laughed again. "Someday your matriarch may come looking for you, someday they may try to make me pay, but it wont be for your imprisonment." "And if they ever do come I'll do the same thing to them as what is about to happen to you." said Sergio coldly. "Behead Her!", he yelled As the ax came down a scream echoed through the waste and quickly cut off and the air was silent. As one of the men lifted the head he asked, "What do we do with this?" Sergio smiled, "Put it in the chest for DaMaximus, we'll give it to him as a gift." Thomas laughed, "You heard the man haul out the chest and put it dead center." He chuckled a bit. As they opened the chest to reveal sapphires, rubies, and emeralds the size of fists they neatly set them aside and put the head in the middle of the box. "Right men back in the wagon it is quite a bit of travel to get to Mpya Stedor and we have to get there before the celebration dies down." "And Thomas make sure he gets our offering last we're going to need the time for the plan" With that they packed up, gathered the horses and Sergio started heading to Mypa Stedor at double pace. (Sorry for any misspellings, bad grammar, or awkward phrasing I missed still, I'm still recovering from a horrible plane ride.)
  12. Sergio Jarrett has heard of your celebration and after the battle of Queen's Cross decided to make his way to Mpya Stedor, although not invited, to bring his best wishes and gifts to the celebration. As one of Historica's most renown mercenaries and one who has fought closely with the Gear Company and alongside many Mitgardian heroes, he feels obligated to share this day of celebration.
  13. *From the Hand of Sergio Jarrett to Paulos MacLean* I regret to inform you of your eldest brothers death during an ambush at Sultan Rock, As we were marching following the lead Dravis had informed us of the scout that had been sent out met up with us but before words could be exchanged a loud crashing was heard near the middle of our caravan and with a thud a body fell face first into the sand. As we rushed to it Dugal let out a cry when I turned around I saw Dravis running him through with a spear that seemed to radiate power and The golden axe of Eastgate falling from your brothers hands. It seems that his death was the signal for an even larger plan as only seconds later we were beset by hordes of hell spawn led by a woman in the finest purple silken cloth and what looked to be some of the finest crafted armor I've seen. She was commanding her Flank from the rear and not one of the men seemed to pay her mind almost as if she were invisible, guarded by the brutish beasts that i've come to learn are called Orcs from my stay with the Eastgate Company and their own allies one of which being an exceptional being of rather decent morals that goes by Florbad, a being so loyal and devoted I sometimes question his heritage. The battle was quick and I was slow into it, I'm ashamed to say my reflexes lacked this day, with the enemy coming from the high ground and our lack of preparation we were sorely at a disadvantage we'd have been completely overran were it not for the stalward defense of Dugal's eternally loyal men. The beasts descended upon us like rabid wolves and showed no signs of thought other than to kill us. The troops that paniced were quickly dead leaving us to defend an unlikely position right under our enemy by all rights we should be dead. With little chance and of survival those who remained fought with all they had fueled by what i can only imagine was the rage I felt in the pit of my stomach. Florbad charged into there flank with abandon tearing asunder their forces and ripping off the limbs of the smallers ones. His ferocity and rage seemed unending but I was quickly turned away from observance to deal with my own fight myself almost being beheaded before a guard who's name I learned was Ali'Jih a man of great prowess and devotion he saved many lives today by throwing himself infront of attacks and turning the tides on many of the assailants that would have defiled your brothers body. As the mongrels continued over the bluff my servant lost track of his duty to keep Dravis detained only to find his body moments later throat slit and one of the hands of corruption fleeing the area, only moments later the enemies retreated as fast as they had appeared leaving us with many wounded and dead, where they could have easily finished us off we live to carry on. (Florbads Ferocious charge) (Ali'Jih's Defense) It is because of their retreat dispite their overwhelming momentum of force that I believe we were not the targets but the disposal of Dravis, upon our regrouping it was found that both the spear that'd run your brother through and the Golden Axe of Eastgate have disappeared, I can only imagine they were taken by the filthy horde that set upon us. I've also been informed by your brother Petera that my contract with the eastgate company has been ended I will continue with the envoy until we meet up with a caravan heading north to Midgard, with the loss of forces I can't help but grow more suspicious of Petera's actions of late. I unfortunately can't stay on while not being provided with necessities needed so I fear I must abide by this dismissal of services, it has been an honor working for the Eastgate Company. ~Sergio Jarrett
  14. It's been over a half a year since I last posted mostly been doing University things, not that I did builds, but I figured I'd drop in here before I started posting again. (please resume cheese talk)
  15. From the Journal of Firo Stoneblade In my six years as Master Hailfist's chosen subordinate these last two days have been my first actual experience on the battlefield, it was harrowing and many times I froze up in fear I could tell Master Hailfist wast disappointed but understanding. The last two days haven't been easy for him, he's past the age of retirement by a good twenty years yet he's come out to tutor me saying I'd be the next captain of the guard I don't see how that's possible there are more qualified guards already but he was insistent and has been drilling me since I was 14. These past few days I've seen things most men will never see and most would never wish to see. Master Hailfist made me take tally of the injured and casualties after the battle was over it was horrifing seeing mangled bodies flawed skulls and disembodied heads staring back at me as if they were still alive they will haunt my dreams for weeks to come I'm sure but he said it was part of my training. I've gathered accounts from various soldiers and they all seem to be uniform depending one which side of the battle field they took, the Crown knight's arrogance was noted several times along with there falling and the Bulls taking command of the flank against A dragonthat appeared to break it's summoned chains. I feel people might think we lost more men than we actually did to my count only two men actually died in the battle, three if you count on the first day, while others appeared to be in critical condition and were written off as dead much to the chagrin of Master Hailfist who was with Monty Douglas our town doctor tending to injured men. At first I thought this to be a good thing but Master Hailfist was livid when he heard that three men had died under his watch and vowed he'd personally pay compensation to there families even after cursing the crown knights for being so prideful and reckless. The Archer we brought along gave me an account of their exchange with the large golem that we saw teleported infront of our eyes it evidently landed behind the crown knights flank and the archers tryied to keep it busy as long as they could to keep it from getting to any of the flank in the ruins from their perch on the henge, they ultimately kept it busy until The chariot charged the golem and there after got turned over injuring everyone inside. To my knowledge they all survived their wounds. The end of the battle was much more decisive after we took care of the golem we headed to the throne and dealt swiftly with lesser fire elementals that were swaying there as if waiting to do something. That battle will haunt me for the rest of my life I never thought I'd have to see so much blood being spilled in my life, I've found out why Master Hailfist was in a sour mood it seems that there were no hostages at all or they were all killed, his son is still missing and the battle that was fought with an urgency that led to several wrong choices could have been avoided as without the weight of lives on the field it seems he would have chosen another way to strike at the temple.
  16. (OOC: William throw got hurt at the tail end the healer was right behind him as soon as he disengaged a golem thanks to Dwurli Bronzinot going in and engaging it so he could get away. I tried to keep everyone's squads together but sometimes splitting them up worked and saved peoples lives. Bright side no ones named characters got killed, downside a rock monster flipping a chariot is bound to have an effect on the people riding it. I'll post the last battle report from the view of Hailfist or his apprentice later tonight)
  17. Battle Log Day 2: Morning The morning broke And I approached Fenghan to take the horses expecting him to get mad but understand my position but reason evidently isn't required of knights so instead I used my power as field commander and took them leaving a very unhappy Fenghan and sons. The man keeps spouting on about honor but I feel he believes that honor means pride and I told him we have no time for notions such as those in the north and titles are just words what really matters is actions up here, he took off in a huff. My words evidently drove him to abandon my orders and strike off towards the henge alone with his sons, if I were a lesser man I would have left them alone and let fate sort him out, I instead decided We'd march after but before we could get the horses in line the archers spotted cultists firing on our position from the temple and ruins So I made the quick decision to have us ride around and meet the hiding snipers head on before they could hit any of our lesser armored allies. A Howl broke out from the henge and what I can only describe from what I saw of it's corpse was a Hell hound of legends a beast said to burn of fire and piss acid something no man should ever have to see let alone fight. As the fight broke we cleared the ranged threat from the ruins they were hiding behind, when cavalry came from behind the bushes, I issued the order to ready lances and hold until we could charge. It felt like minutes before we were at the charge though I knew only seconds had past, as we charged I could hear the thunderous roar of a Chariot which I later learned held reinforcements from House Kolores and some Of the bravest men I'd ever seen on a battlefield. From the report of the archers these men jumped from the moving chariot into battle with Earth Golems and pushed through to rescue two men from the cultist sacrificial rituals after Striking down the fearsome beast of a Hell Hound while the Crown knights were flailing their swords like they'd just got them and were trying to figure out which way was up. Their lord is truly lucky to have them. The charge Ended well even though we were out numbered we got the upper hand and held off the advancing cavalry until Jakon's men and the remaining two guards of Yoshimitsu arrived, the Battle felt like a stand still until one of Jakon's men William threw his axe and beheaded one of cultist, when I saw that I almost broke out laughing in all my years I'd never seen such a perfectly executed execution, as we were slowly turning the tides more and more in our favor The men of house Kolores rushed out of the henge and behind the enemy cavalry forcing the leader of these men to flee and the remaining forces to throw down their weapons in surrender. Fenghan stumbled in a moment after the surrender and started yelling about Traitor crown knight's and high crown law and before I could stop him he brutally murdered two of the prisoners, before I could question them about where the archaeologists, were and had his sons chain up the other two who were former crown knights, I begrudgingly agreed to let them be sent to the king without questioning before hand to avoid another fight with Fenghan. With the surrender of the men we Aquire three horses which would keep me from having to deal with Fenghan any more as I gave him back his horse and plan to not have to deal with him in any upcoming battles though I do feel sorry for those who will be forced to march with him. As the battle drew to a close I gathered up the leaders to discuss strategy with Algeen, the temple ruins seems to be radiating a strong magically energy, and we'll be force to advance sooner than I'd expected. Talk around camp is lively it seems the men who have witnessed him in battle have started calling him "Jakon the Invulnerable" an apt name for a man so heavily armored, throughout the whole battle he never so much as received a scratch. Once the men recover we'll head into battle hopefully to find anyone who could survive this awful mess. *From the Field notes of Garret Hailfist* (OOC: Sorry about picture repost He took all the pictures and I was writing the post in a span of an hour so I didn't realize after it was done)
  18. Battle Log Day 1 Upon the arriving on the beach of the ruins of Khordeem an eerie fog covered the battle field the older temple ruins being completely covered. I could see shambling dead ahead at the edge of the beach front and where there are undead there are always more undead that must come out of the woodwork. Before I could issue any orders or battle plans the crown knight that had come from the mainland headed up the beach taking point their leader Fenghan insisting that a knights job was to head into battle with his two young sons in tow, before I could correct this error the undead charged and the knights were locked in combat, the only course of action I could take was to prevent the charge from growing. I brought my archers around the right flank and order them to shoot into the undeads rear flank as Firo and Myself took care of the immediate threats. Yoshimitsu's troop gathered at the left flank there leader providing cover fire while the others stood against the charge preparing themselves for the second wave. After ten minutes of fighting It became quite obvious there were necromancers pulling the strings of this pile of bones, I decided to keep this fact to myself until after the battle to prevent the men from starting to panic, not knowing the experience of my troops. At this point the fog started to clear over the ruins and my sharpshooters spotted cultist archer and began to act on their own as Firo and Myself headed into the frey to try to stop the flow against the knights that had started tiring and even falling off their horses. It wasn't long before I felt something pierce my cloak and my flesh and I had to fall back to remove the arrow with Firo in tow at the time when we got behind cover Algeen finally felt a connection and I was unable to remove the arrow as the necromancers felt the magical power and sent in a massive charge we quickly took up our blades next to Yoshimitsu's guard. A good man died on that charge it's unfortunate that I never got his name and it seemed improper to ask after his death, but with fury and passion his friend broke into a rage and broke two of the skeletons into dust before falling unconscious from his wounds. His sacrifice kept the undead from breaking the spell that helped put us on the offensive as Jakon and his band came in raring for a battle with all the vigor of men who'd gotten a good nights rest and good forty years younger than myself. It was a sight to behold as Jakon took a steady pace into the battle field as swords seemed to bounce off his armor he must have had a good 80Kg of armor on his body, putting the crown knights that had shown up to shame as bones crushed to dust under his feet. After the battle I've just learned that the archers had spotted cultist coming out of the temple ruins near the end of battle it seems that in the morn we will be heading into the temple finish this. I hope that we've seen the worst this battle has to throw at us but I fear that this is just the beginning, undead with necromancers behind them are something to be feared arrows and bolts can only pin a skeleton to the ground until a necromancer revives it nothing short of steel and sorcery is able to turn these abominations to dust, I will refit in the morning, Firo and Myself will take to horse back and I will ask Jakon to accompany us into the frey of battle, the crown knights may have lived but without Monty they wouldn't be in such good condition and I'm fairly sure at least two of them took a few to many hits to the head. Day 2 the Morning We've heard screams coming from the henge the temple must wait I fear the worst for the archaeologist...
  19. Yeah always go with the people over things, also lord of the drow with flower embroidered curtains those colours clash man. Also what's with that bottle, I'm just curious is it candle liquid or liquor?
  20. In the far north of Mitgardia where villages are far from each other and cities it's not uncommon for villages to have their own security, In the small town of Skaeran these guards take the form of a guild of elite archers with a long lineage back to the days before unification. They pride themselves on excellence and versatility, of these bunch the former leader of the guard has stepped forth to take up the challenge not for prizes though they may be grand but for the pure thrill of destroying any lesser being he may run across. Garret Hailfist has since retired from a leadership role in the guard but has remain one of it's most active and skilled members, Known for his tactical genius, fast footwork, ability to predict his enemies movements, and his hatred for any thing that isn't Human of Dwarf. He has made a name for himself as a stubborn bigot but for those he likes there is no better ally they could think of to have next to them on the battlefield. (I apologize for the bad picture I'm not the best photographer)
  21. I don't want to overstep any bounds since I've just joined but I'd like permission to make a town on the western most island of the isles of solitude
  22. I'd like to come into Mitgardia. I've come from the south and am a veteran mercenary and my name is Sergio Jarrett. "After a long journey filled with danger and and peril Sergio had finally reached Mitgardia. Searching for a place to practice his craft and ridding the world of undead scum along the way, he'd left his home in hope of finding a challenge and all he'd found was bags of bones and other impure forms of life that weren't fit to travel the same ground as him. The Drow he'd ran into were vile and weak attempting to swarm him to rob him of his possessions and his life only to fail. As he thought of the beasts and vile beings he'd run across and vanquished on his journey to the cold north he laughed to himself remembering their weakness of conviction and their deaths."
  23. I'm new to this Forum but I was attracted because Legos Have been a toy that have carried one through my life, even if I have very little time for them now, and Pirates have always been one Of my favorite sets so here I am. When I saw talk about Islanders and Racism structural or not I figured I'd put in my two cents. One of the first things any student of anthropology will learn is that race doesn't exist, if you want to talk about skin colour and mutations of genes that cause adaptations to certain environments fine but Races are a device created to group people and originally had the motive to specify how one group was superior to the other. Also native Americans being red was brought about when Europeans landed near Newfoundland and met a group that ritually painted themselves with red ochre .... but no one wants to read about this stuff on a lego forum. I do remember my first set of islanders was the duel canoe although I was not even a fan of the islander set they had good pieces and offered a variety. I would love to see classic pirates preferably sets with a lot of minifigs as I'd like a large pirate crew.
