I'm back after a long break. Just recently I resumed work on the Garma Mecha Man. A lot more progress has been made. I rebuilt the shark ammo chain and updated the shark cannon. Not only that, the Garma Mecha Man is now posed the same way as it is in the render seen in the making of the movie book. The mech is closer than ever to completion.

@mr4543r A great find, @mr4543r! Thanks for sharing this. It's nice to see anything behind the scenes of the movie's production.

@Matteo Nottoli There has not been too much progress, but I did make the shark ammo chain. The Garma Mecha Man currently has 7576 pieces. Amazing work you have done @blue72 and @Matteo Nottoli! As for updates, the center flagpoles on the shoulder pads were slightly shortened for the Quake Mech and small changes in the feet and tank attachment area were made for the Fire Mech. The Water Strider was also updated to have better and more accurate details.

@Thedoctorwedwhistle The set stands around 36 cm (14 inches), whereas the movie version is around 86.5 cm (34 inches tall).

@zweifuss Here is a full-fledged size comparison. The movie model is far superior in my opinion. It's enormous.

@Matteo Nottoli I did notice the slight differences with the beams. The legs are overall the same, but with a few added beams on the bottom. There are two reasons why I made the movie version. First reason is the extra beams in the lower legs would not let the two lower linear actuators fit, and the other reason is I'm try to make the mech as close to the movie version as possible. Here's how the Garma Mecha Man is with all of the components attached, but there is still more work to be done to the mech before it's %100 complete.

@Matteo Nottoli I never took weight distribution into consideration when adding in these bricks specifically. The bricks in the tail are designed the way they are because that is how they are structured in the video game model. Looking closely at the mech in the movie, the same bricks seem to be present in the design. Though, I think the tail will balance the model, especially with that huge jaw the mech has.

It has been a little more than a week since the last update. So here's a new one. The head was built. The tank is finally attached. The cannon is nearly done.

The tank is for the most part finished. There is few more incomplete areas.

@Matteo Nottoli The shark cannon is still not finished because I'm still trying to attach the sides, although I finished the tank in the back. There is two holders on both ends that will attach the shark ammo.

New update: I refurbished few more details and attached the arms.

The six armor coverings surrounding the chest are now attached. These were some of the more trickier parts.

Here's another update to the Garma Mecha Man.

This is the part of the Garma Mecha Man I'm currently building now that I completed the legs. The armor plating gives this mech a samurai feel.

@8Arely_-A I know what page you're talking about. That portfolio site is owned by an Animal Logic employee. The image you have seen is concept image for box art. The Garma Mecha Man render was a placeholder. If you look more closely, the name of the set is Dragon's Forge. I don't think LEGO has ever intended to release the full-sized, on-screen mechs as sets, which is why smaller, scaled-down versions were released. Both of the legs of the Garma Mecha Man are just about complete. They make up roughly 25% of the pieces the mech is made of. I can't believe it's been 3 years since the LEGO Ninjago Movie was released. For those who are building the Green Ninja Mech Dragon, part 13547 will soon be available in sand green, as the upcoming Star Wars set 75318 has these in sand green.

@Matteo Nottoli Okay. For now, I'll just be building the Garma Mecha Man while waiting for the next update.

@8Arely_-A I plan to build the Destiny's Bounty. I recolored most of the leg. There is a few more things that need to be changed before I can start on the other leg.

The first part of the leg I recolored is the foot because it's just about complete.

Here's how the back of the leg looks as of now. Once when this leg is done, I'll start building the other one.

@8Arely_-A Since I don't have an estimated completion date of the Garma Mecha Man and Ice Tank, my best answer is when they are done. @Matteo Nottoli The mech is looking great! There is another program you can use to generate instructions with, Blueprint. Here's how big the Garma Mecha Man's left leg is compared to the set version of the mech. It's massive!

@Thedoctorwedwhistle Sure I can. I have the video game, and because the helicopter is in the video game, I can change it to be accurate if there are any inaccuracies.

@mr4543r I do have plans to modify your Ice Tank model. It's a useful resource.

@zweifuss The mouth pieces seem to be going nicely. Fun fact: The actual movie models themselves were made in Lego Digtial Designer before being imported into Maya. This was also the case for the other LEGO Movie films too.

@zweifuss I am pretty sure there is not that much inside the mech, especially for them to reduce rendering time. The designers mostly only focused on the external details. The mech is not going to be 100% accurate, just curious on how they attached certain things. There is also the fact that your assumption that some things are not structurally possible is more likely correct. After all, it's computer animation.
