    I agree, as I said before this film was gonna be different and that's exactly what the franchise needed. Though by this very nature assuming the film is canned they could very likely reuse the set's and characters for a bif bang theme without changing much

    Exactly, it's real weird how their still devoting time and money to a themes like Minecraft which isn't even relevant with kids anymore

    So there's now a very real possibility this franchise will be shelved and while I can live without seeing TLBM2 as it barely started production this film seems to have gotten quite far and it's a real shame all we may ever see of it is a blurry poster

    While I see what you're saying I couldn't disagree more, even before 2014 there weren't many in-house lines this decade and the ones that that were there were almost all just Bikes, cars, jets and mechs for a team of uninteresting heroes to fight an army of monsters in raw repetitive combat(Plus TLNM and TLM (Asides from Batman) lines were practically just in-house themes themselves). Whereas The LEGO Movies have some of the most interesting builds and ideas in recent memory, just by comparing the normal Ninjago line to The LEGO Ninjago Movie line presents a stark contrast.

    That's actually a great point, many animated franchises practicality live of the toy sales, that's the entire reason Cars 2 even happened

    I love this set, it's a real shame we're likely not getting anymore sets in this series

    Unless a miracle happens or it turns out WB has the same level of dedication here as they do with their DCEU best we can hope for is that in 5-10 years we get a sequel like Toy Story 3 or Incredibles 2 to capitalize on Nostalgia

    Saw the film again and I noticed during the Harmony town sequence Once Emmet and Rex start running original Aquaman is seen in place of the Jason Mamoa version

    Yes, this franchise isn't over yet! Billion Brick race did have a much nicer ring to it

    The thing is even TLBM underperformed, after DC's most recent atempt at Batman he's not as big of a draw. The best plan (whether it's TBBR or not) is to go the route of the original and make a film that is different and make a bunch of cameos so you can advertise them. Going with the example of TBBR make the male and female lead original character's with interesting personalitys and arcs and have a couple members of the supporting cast be famous characters and have at least one scene filled with cameos so you can slap all these famous characters on the poster.

    I really have to disagree, people didn't decide against seeing TLM2 because the main characters were yellow, they didn't go because of brand fatigue and and if there's one thing you can say about TBBR it's that it sounds different. Unlike TLBM2 that sounds like it'd just be more of the same and don't get me wrong I love he same but it's clear that the General Audience is getting tired of it.

    I should of made myself more clear, Officer Toque isn't in the first one I was referring to you saying he's in TLM2. Though the live action casts of both films COULD just so happen to have the same Minifigures, similar builds and plot elements it's just more fun (and less contrived) to assume their just friends The double decker couch appears when Cole's docking his mech right after Garmadon's first invasion

    That's just the sorta vibe I got with the lighting of the shot and how those were some very, VERY sad looking puppies (Then again maybe their just upset they don't get the day of the royal wedding off work!)

    Well Panda Guy, Deep Sea Diver, Blacktron fan, Fabufan, the double decker couch and people wearing Batman and Unikitty merch appear in TLNM (Plus Luh-Lloyd and the Hot Noodle Dog stand appear in TLM and TLM2 respectively ) So those world's have to have some sorta connection, Maybe Kid (Yes that's what the character's billed as) is friends with Finn or maybe The Man Upstairs goes to Mister Liu(Jackie Chan's live action role on TLNM) to play with HIS highly sophisticated interlocking brick system now that his kids have messed his up. Then again this ramble's neither here nor their as this is TLBM2 discussion thread. About TLBM's place in the wider LEGOverse, maybe Finn's sister just wasn't interested in the parts of the more drab Gotham City and just left it alone.
