  1. Yo, you're really tapping into the Venetian architecture, like what Di Carli and Barthezz Bricks have done in the past! Lovely scene shots as well! And a great advance in the story, looks like the plot thickens, haha!
  2. Cool! It's great how the people writing active storylines are moving up in the ranks! Looks like we De Ciotos almost have nowhere to go but down .
  3. I like the unique roof, and good color for it too, certainly looks distinctly Avalonian.
  4. Great installment! I like the build, but perhaps adding some effect to the LEGO part to make it look more like a painting would help it to blend with the backdrop that you chose. As for the story, it's headed in such a good direction, with thoughtful characters and events, and I can't wait for more.
  5. Woo! Awesome job, both on the story and on the builds too of course! Things are getting quite exciting! I confess I was afraid bad things would happen to my characters as I read, but I guess that's yet to come . Well done keeping the Varlyrio intrigue alive, and I'm excited to see more soon! Great floor patterns on the build, and good work on the first scene as well!
  6. The inclusion of a rat is great to hint at the dark place where it's located and to break up all the grey.
  7. I just noticed you on flickr making a post! Nice to see you around, any chance we'll see a build from you now ?

  9. Thank you, it means a lot to get such a comment! Yeah, I was weary of html and formatting images, so I may have been a little sloppy . I just posted one shot of each build or scene here, but thanks for the tips, I may do that! Thank you for your compliments on my builds and on the story! Kudos to LHF who wrote the portion about the stealing of the amulet, and to TMB for writing the death of Moccenigo. They both did beautiful jobs! Regarding VI, you are indeed right about the quick change of mind. Lord Cirdan magically searched the whole palace, and thus proved to himself that the Rego was telling the truth when he said he didn't have the amulet. I guess that didn't come across just so? VII. Yeah, I'm hoping to so it soon and to make it look great! We'll see! VIII. Good ideas, when my laziness passes I'll do that . Thank you! Good point, I could have linked my family thread and now TMB has his as well, but a family tree would be even clearer and easier to follow. I may have to do that for my family! Thanks again man !

  11. Oh, I love how you go all out with this! I am super excited for more of your story, and for potential clashes between our families! It's high time bad things happen to my characters too . Great use of your cathedral build to introduce some very cool figs! Efficient and pleasing to see them set in a build rather than just on paper. Also I love the lore, you really put a lot of thought into your characters and I hope for more. You left a few mysterious hints at the future which is great to keep us intrigued . Keep it up!
  12. Cute vignette! The yellow steam is great.
  13. Thank you, that one seems to be popular! Thanks! That's a perfect assessment and I tend to agree completely! Fortunately I have pictures of just the building. Notes for next time . Thankee! Hope you enjoy it when you do ! I agree! I wish that my collaborations could end more agreeably for all collaborators, but I feel like it must be fun to get betrayed too, hehe, so... I look forward to having it happen to me one day! Hope to do more collabs in the future! Thank you! Great points, but you're right. For example my dark tan stock was utterly depleted by the end of this. Those textured walls use up pieces so fast! Yep, those are stickers, all minced up and delicately applied. Haha, thank you . Good question, I love to clarify! No, not that. Moccenigo saw that Arama was secretly a lover of the Rego, right. So then, he also found out that she was openly Raiden's lover, and he knew that it would be the perfect person to make a confident of. If Raiden ever found out all the details, which is what Brabantio could threaten in his blackmail, Arama would be in big trouble. It was all a big, tricky game! Brabantio lost by pure chance, after all! If he had had even just one more day he would at least not have died in vain. Big thank you for all the comments and for your thoughts, it is very nice to have ones work appreciated as I'm sure you know !
  14. I'll just answer the last question, since you know I never told Talus that the assassin was a girl . That said, my own reasoning was that she was wearing a bauta mask.
  15. Thank you Grover! Funnily enough with an older model of those hooked plates a tile fits nicely between them and the wall. But between the newer versions it's impossible to stick a whole tile, hence why I turned them around. Thanks! Thank you, I loved the idea of building a mask ball, so that inspired the story! Thank you Kai! True, hard to fix in this instance tho, haha. Thank you! Indeed they had me on edge with the loose parts! Thanks to you for that! Yes, they are LOTR rings on hands, it was a tricky detail and my favorite mask! Agreed, I made sure to include the English in any super important comments, but then although I know the longer Italian phrases are less important, the reader of course might wonder if they are! Thanks for the tip!
  16. Thanks, it was an inspiration based off the sparkly parts! Thank you :D ! Thank you, I wanted to give it a real magical look! Thank you mate! Yep, I didn't want to just murder left and right, and besides he's a main character, so it's far nicer for Talus to have him all ready for his next story . I look forward with trepidation to see what Ilazio's next move is!
  17. Awesome build, you so nailed the claustrophobic narrow streets! Great pavement and wall textures, and hint at depth on the left. The sword and the water are also brilliant emblems, well done! Another detail I'm fond of is the round window technique there with the lattice.
  18. Idem! It's been a blast working by your side and I regret that I had to work behind your back too, but for the common good ... I'm glad it turned out that way! Look forward to the day when you surprise me with what Ilazio does next! Hehe, maybe I can do that one soon, we'll see. We needed more builders! Ci vediamo di nuovo, buon compagno! Certo? Thank you, I'm glad you liked the story! Next time = more time, haha. Glad to work together on this!
  19. Thanks again for working on the collab! It's been awesome, and your build is so good, as you already know. I like the roof, pretty effective way to do the corners!
  20. Great work on the mood, despite the rushed build! I like the prow of the gondola!
  21. Thank you for working with me on this collab! I love the colors in your build, the scene goes perfect with the story you wrote. I like the trunks of the birch trees and the combo of lavender and dark blue leaves.
  22. Thank you, I'm so excited that you read it and enjoyed it ! I figure they speak Italian in Varlyrio, right . It certainly adds to the atmosphere! Credit also to the two sections that were written by my fellow collaborators!
  23. The secret Cioto–di Carli alliance strikes again! Avanti!
