Looks nice! If you could find a picture of it from the game, that would be nice. But I can see Robin driving this!

Great contest! I love how we have to post the cross over in the other forum! I can't wait to start building!

Great MOC, Mood! Your chibis are great, and the vehicles are fantastic, too! Nice piece usage of the mini X-Wing wing for a design!

LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 8 Rumours & Discussion
JackJonespaw replied to Piranha's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Hm...thanks for the list, GRogall. It seems all right, and I'm sure I'll like it more when I see some pictures, but many of them are doubles of past minifigs. I just hope the Vampire looks good. And that it's not a female vampire. Maybe a younger vampire, like with the boy caveman? What is an enemy robot? Maybe it'll come with some futuristic gun or something! The diver (female?) gives me hope, I didn't really like the S1 version. What is a trader? The rest looks nice, though. -
Name: 9470 Shelob Attacks Theme: LEGO Lord of the Rings Year: 2012 Pieces: 227 Minifigs: 3 Minifigures Price: USD $19.99; £19.99 Flick Set Bricklink Brickset INTRODUCTION Lego. Lord of the Rings. I had always imagined these two coming together, but I never really much thought about what sets would be released if it came true. In the movie, this scene is in the third movie, The Return of the King. Not only does this set include the two most important characters, and Gollum, the creepy goblin-like thing, but this set also has a giant spider. But is Shelob like the other giant Lego spiders, or is she something different, and better? THE BOX The box shows Gollum lurking in a cave, while Sam fights Shelob near Frodo's petrified body. I love the yellow coloring - as non-LOTR like as it seems, I think that it fits perfectly. The map behind Sauron's finger is another great touch. The back of the box shows different play features and views of the set. The burnt, yellowed papers with nails on them is a fantastic way of showing things. The map shows behind these, too. INSTRUCTION BOOKLET The instructions book features the same image as the front cover. Although my set didn't come with the cardboard, my instructions weren't bent or folded in the least - a nice surprise! The inside has the ever-looming map. Thankfully, there is no trouble telling the difference between dark bley and black - although the dark bley is awfully dark. THE MINIFIGURES Frodo, Sam, and Gollum look great. The new Hobbit hair is great, and I can see many future uses for this. The ring is also great, a nice chrome gold, not the pearly gold color. Gollum also looks fantastic. Some people on Eurobricks have said that he looks a bit constipated, but I think that he looks like he is in uncontrollable rage. The back printing is really fantastic, as are the alternate faces. I really like Frodo's paralyzed face. Sam's other face is interesting. THE CAVE An entrance or exit in Shelob's cave. This portion includes a catapult for Gollum to jump Hobbits, and a hole for Gollum to hide in. The back of the cave shows off some more of the detail. I like how detailed this small part of the set is. The inclusion of all of the cheese slopes make it seem more natural of a cave than a blocky hole. SHELOB (The Build) The first ten steps of this model build the inside of Shelob. This will later be covered by slopes and tooth plates. By the next ten steps, Shelob's legs have been built. This was by far the most annoying part of the build. There's just something I don't like about repetitive building. I really like the printed piece for Shelob's face. If it was a sticker, it would be much less straight. The third ten step portion builds the inside mechanism for Shelob's string and the bottom of her rear portion. I like the mix of black, dark tan and red-brown. The build ends by adding the top cover on the back part of Shelob. The gear underneath is for winding up string, but more on that later. SHELOB (The Completed Spider) Yes, this is the amazing finished model. I love every single bit of this build. The spider looks real! I had to stop myself from jumping the first few times I walked by it - it is remarkably well done. As can be seen here, Shelob can roll around on two wheels, giving her smooth movement. I like this better than the boat studs. It makes her move better. The rear view is the worst view. It shows the light bley gear and the dark red hook. I would have rather had a smaller hook for her; it would have made hooking on to things also easier. And this is Shelob's one amazing play feature - string. This can stretch out over a foot, and it wraps around a minifig in a nice way. Shelob's hook can stay put on anything pretty small. It's a kind of morbid move by Lego, but perfect for scaring boys' little sisters, I'm sure. FINAL VERDICT Playability: 10/10 (A Gollum catapult and string - genius!) Design: 10/10 (How could I give anything that scares people by its realism less than at ten?) Minifigs: 10/10 (Fantastic minifigs, nice, detailed, and recognizable.) Pieces: 10/10 (Some good pieces, a nice printed piece and the Ring.) Price: 10/10 (A nice price considering how many pieces.) OVERALL GRADE: 10/10 The big ten out of ten. This is a great set, and with 227 pieces, I felt like I was finally getting my money's worth in a $20 set. As soon as you can get $20, go out and purchase this great set right away! Great minifigs and great models. I love it.

Whoa, all three days worth of stuff! I'm guessing that each t-shirt is different for each opening, right?
-
Nice review! I really like this set - it's nice and solid, and the figs are great!
-
That's a good looking snowspeeder and .... uh.... leg. I would like to see you build a scale AT-AT using the size of this leg - it'll be huge!
-
Nice review! This is one nice figure! Does anyone else feel like his gun is too oversized? I don't really like it - the bulky armor and the huge gun aren't a good match. The torso and face prints are nice, though.
-
Nice review, WhiteFang! This is one great set! The minifigs are definitely the selling point of this set - and they don't disappoint!
-
Nice review. Seriously, ACPin, you're one the greatest builders I know, and I can't wait to see what else you've got! Great ways of hiding his face, Oky! (You guys are the luckiest ones. )

Yes, much less smoke. From what I can make out, it looks pretty nice, though.

LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 8 Rumours & Discussion
JackJonespaw replied to Piranha's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Hm....I don't think it could be one for the Genie, Clockwork Robot, Flamenco Dancer, Roman Soldier (a disappointment), Highland Battler, Sleepyhead, Lady Liberty, Minotaur, Leprechaun, Buthcer, or Mechanic. That leaves the Bandit (a cowboy for him?) or the Alien and Intergalactic Girl. (Another space person.) -
It's all right. I would add some different greens, like lime green, light green, sand green or dark green. Also, don't use the same face for all of them. Try this one. for a female one.
-
I feel the same way. If you modded the back so that the astromech was corrected, it might make the ship bulkier.
-
Nice idea of using Cap's bike for Robin! If you could add some green studs or something on it, it might look a bit better.

Jedi Temple Mafia - Conclusion
JackJonespaw replied to Masked Builder's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I was starting to get suspicious at Tammo when BD was lynched, I was thinking that it was another Sleeping Beauty from Bedtime Story. But, anything I said was going to be taken as scum, but that's just the way things happened. Anyways, nice game, guys. Masked Builder and K-Nut, thanks for organizing it! -
REVIEW 9497 - Republic Striker-class Starfighter
JackJonespaw replied to def's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Nice review, def! This is one amazing set! Aside from having three minifigs who I have no clue about, it's a really nice ship, and it's in dark red! -
The Mines of Moria. I know that the stickers are ridiculous, but the overall set and figures are fantastic.

This is a bit difficult to explain, but I'll do my best. Does anyone have a file that, when printed, has the size of a 1x2 tile, 1x4, etc. A bit like a custom minifig sheet, when printed, is the proper size of the minifig's head, torso, legs. I'm trying to do my best to explain this, if someone doesn't get this, I'll try again.

Amazing! The cliff and knight are great, but the dragon is just astounding! I love the shape and colors. It looks just like Maleficent!
