    CS Fighter

A design I came up with a few months back digitally, finally realised in full today:
  2. Maybe black with yellow zig-zag lines linking the ground lines? And agree, really nice design overall!
  3. A: 1-3-2 B: 8-9-2
  4. Low gravity and magnetic boots. Always works in scifi ;)
  5. RL version:
  6. You're not the first person to hint the lawnmower look - I was almost tempted to place a small sat dish on the underside and call it a lunarmower after the first mention ;)
  7. I actually went with the acronym H.O.G - Huge Orbital Glider Still, it was only your input that got me to that result, so thanks again :)
  8. I came up with this idea whilst working on another project. A modern take on the 886 classic space moon buggy:
  9. Have you noticed that it is the same 5-10 people who support anything resembling 2 or more bricks stuck together with the exact same comment? I swear if I uploaded road kill in lego form with the pictures at 10x10 pixels blown to 1080p the same "people" would support and call it a genius idea with the same autonomous response they've given to every other idea posted... troll ideas with troll voting at the extreme.
  10. Is it me or has there been an influx of subpar design orientated ideas? I'm all for the ideas project, but surely the actual design has to be an integral part of said idea, otherwise someone could just upload a worded document outlining their idea without going anywhere near a brick or design software. It's almost as if we're entering the LEGO Dada movement in my opinion.
  11. I like the idea, although it's not really an attack vessel. Big Orbital / Astral Roamer would probably suit it better. Thanks!
  12. I've just finished designing another starship MOC, but I'm not too sure what to call it. At the moment I've just named it "Explorer" as I will eventually design a landing vehicle that will reside in the hold, but I'm tempted to call it the "Galactic Grey Sow" as the nose and the way it sits makes it look like a large pig - I even had the underside thruster bays filled with dome top bricks at one point which made it look like it had udders. Any suggestions would be great:
  13. looks like the main inspiration for the Tyrrell P34 F1 car around the same time.
  14. I have to say that this is one of the best car designs LEGO has done imo, and the "pimp-my-ride" optional extras just adds more Greek siren temptation to the boy in me.
  15. Really liking the updated release of this idea: CS Rocket-Ship Mobile Launcher V2 by legomario295
  16. I've completely rebuilt this from the ground up changing a lot of the original design's components, and I also made the doors so that they sat more flush with the bodywork, so that overall there were no visible gaps:

    [MOC] Cruiser

Thanks! I'm going to go for Luxury Starcruiser. I made some alterations to the design mainly to cater for part availability, but I actually think it looks better. Ill be uploading to Rebrickable and might submit to Ideas (although at this point in time I feel its a waste of time for fictional space related ideas; they just don't seem to hold interest):

    [MOC] Cruiser

Thanks! I did actually think about how the propulsion worked, I've since added an image of the the interior engine room. It has 4 internal engines which I would like to think of as futuristically advanced to be so small to chuck out enough power to warrant 4 large and 2 huge exhausts ;)
  19. Just spent the last couple of days coming up with this concept: I'm still undecided on what to classify it as. I'm torn between Explorer/Research Cruiser or Luxury Space Yacht. Either way, I had quite a bit of trouble getting the front end completed, and tbh I'm still not entirely happy with it. I wanted something that could have accessibility, but previous ideas just looked wrong. The current frontend reminds me somewhat of Spae 1999, but being a stickler for accuracy there's just too many structural gaps. Anyway, current features include: - Front opening top and bottom hanger doors - Dual minfig cockpit (opening), that in turn lifts forward to gain access to the lower deck engine room. Still a WIP and needs some refining (especially thr front end imo), and at some point I will readjust the design using any unavailable pieces, then throw it up on Rebrickable. The orginal idea came about when playing around with the skylight and door frames. The mid section is basically a mish mash of influences from the films Silent Running and Black Hole. Overall I kind of relate this ship to the description of the luxry cruiser Ford Prefect mentions in Restaurant at the End of the Universe.... Moves like a fish, steers like a cow
  20. Can someone explain to me what this is supposed to be.
  21. This is Owen Wilson WOW It's almost as if a if Bruce Wayne suddenly acknowledged he was a UCS MOC designer ;)
  22. It's a known fact that go faster stripes add 200mph per stripe
  23. I've recently finished a new starfighter design which was partly inspired by something @Digger of Bricks had mentioned regarding my original Modular Starfighter design, and the curved canopy (amongst other things). I too prefered my original concept with the canopy, but felt it needed more functionality, so I changed it for the retro design. But a part of me still wanted to use that canopy. So... After mulling some ideas around in my head, I came up with something that incorporated the canopy into a functioning piece and then built a ship around that, resulting in the following design: Since then I have made some further design changes to the nose and have also come up with an additional alternative wing design: The design is up on both LEGO Ideas and Rebrickable, allbeit the rebrickable one has slightly different colouring due to part availability. I haven't included the alternate wing design yet.
  24. Thanks for the heads up. I just entered my starfighter.
  25. Half expected Mike/Joel, Crow and Servo to narrate this ;)
