I don't think its the tattoos, it probably has something to do with masculinity and how Lego has always taken a stance against that kind of stuff, like how they originally didn't make gray pieces because they didn't want children to build tanks. Heck, I think the closest thing we've gotten to military-based themes is Star Wars. Plus, Suicide Squad didn't get any sets in the first place, because of how violent some of the characters were. But maybe we could see some variation of Joker with tattoos in a future set. We've already gotten tattooed arms in Joker's Low Rider from LBM. As for Aquaman, I think Lego probably thought it would be better if they made a minifig of him in his costume (or armor) like what he seems to be wearing most of the movie, instead of a version of him shirtless and covered in tattoos, which we'll probably see in only a couple of scenes. I could be wrong though, maybe some Lego designers just have something against guys who are built (pun intended)

The minifig is called Motorcycle Mechanic, he was in Series 10 CMF, which came out way back in 2013 Another one you could be thinking of is Battle Dwarf, who was in Series 17, which came out just last year. So I don't think Lego has rules against tattoos.

LEGO Star Wars 2018 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!
Mountain Drew replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
The new Sandcrawler is a pretty good set for $140. Im not saying that's inexpensive, just that I think if you're going to get any sets from this wave, it should be either that, the Cloud Swoop Bikes, or Anakins Starfighter. I guess if you really want these sets but don't have the money (like me and seemingly most people), you can wait till close to Christmas to buy them, cause thats when a bunch of stuff goes on sale on Amazon and Walmart. -

I think it would be better if Lego would maybe have one more Spiderman set, plus a different comics based set that doesn't have a Spiderman theme. We are getting Spiderman: Far from Home next summer, and a wave of sets for that are pretty much a sure thing, plus Captain Marvel and Avengers 4 are also coming out, so pretty much all Marvel sets for next year are going to be MCU based (maybe not winter 2019, but still), so that leaves the creativity for next years sets kind of limited.- 3,962 replies

Marvel Superheroes 2018 - Set Discussion

Maybe it has something to do with Venom and Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse both coming out around the same time, since the set features major characters from both movies. Maybe this whole wave is based around Spiderman (or in this case, Spidermen), since there are still plenty of variations of Spiderman for Lego to use (Spider-Ham, Spiderman Noir, Spiderman 2099, Miles Morales). It would also leave the door open for tons of different vehicles, and maybe some villains we haven't gotten in minifig form yet.- 3,962 replies

I was just thinking, if we're getting a comics-based Spiderman set on December 1st, there's a good chance we'll be getting at least 2 more Marvel comics sets as part of that same wave. Personally, I think we should get a vehicle or building that played a big part in Marvel Superheroes 2, like Kang's Time Ship or the Hydra Blimp, or even a Wakanda playset.- 3,962 replies

DC Superheroes 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion

I wonder if we get these figure packs as like an annual thing, since last year we got the LBM one with the police officers. It certainly would be an interesting move for Lego, and probably a welcome one. -

I think I'm gonna wait until the Landing Craft goes on sale before getting it, $90 for 636 pieces is a little steep, considering it doesn't have any figs that haven't already appeared in sets. Its a cool build though. -

Also, I don't know if anyone cares, but the Lex Luthor that is supposed to be a pre-order exclusive for the DC Supervillains game is available on BrickLink. Its all international stores though, so shipping would be a little more expensive. -

Is it like a Bricktober exclusive or something Seems like kind of a missed opportunity for Lego to use this piece with gray goggles, but why split hairs -

I've noticed the Lego is starting to rerelease old sets that are worth a lot now (Millennium Falcon, Taj Mahal, etc.) so that sellers won't be able to put a $2000 price tag on a set that was worth $500. Maybe they will do the same for minifigures at some point. I think the reason for that is because even that movie could be considered more mature themed than some of the other Marvel movies, or maybe because it wasn't a team-up movie. But Shazam is such a ridiculous and kid-friendly character (that's a good thing) that Lego would have to be crazy not to try to cash in on him. -

If thats the case, then I hope Black Adam also makes an appearance in a new set, since he's not in the Shazam movie. -
Future DC Super Heroes Rumors & Speculation
Mountain Drew replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
I wouldn't be surprised if they just placed the characters from Titans in a regular set like they did with the Suicide Squad, since both are more mature-themed. But I would even go so far as to expect Young Justice characters like Kid Flash, Superboy, Aqualad, Artemis, Black Canary, and even Miss Martian to appear in future sets. -

Lego did that though with Azog from the Hobbit. In Comic Con 2013 they released him as an "exclusive", then like 5 months later they released him in the 79014 Dol Guldur Battle set. And yes, it was the exact same fig, now the only thing exclusive about him is the packaging. -

I have the one from Comic Con. The problem is that its too valuable to use for anything other than display. Thats why I don't buy the Comic Con figs anymore (they also take quite a toll on my wallet) -

I mean, could it really be that crazy? we did get an battle pack that had the First Order Executioners and a battle pack with Ki-Adi-Mundi and Bariss Offee recently. But I do agree with you that 4 guards would be ludicrous, maybe 2, but not 4. I have the same opinion for the Clone Troopers battle pack, the figs the leaker said are too high-in-demand for Lego to give us for $15. If anything, we would get two regular clone troopers, and maybe 2 actual characters. The other 2 characters would appear in a different, probably more expensive set. But anything is possible, I think it would be a little early before we can know for sure, but maybe (hopefully) some leaks will come out soon that can confirm our suspicions. -

At least we're getting another season of Young Justice and Clone Wars to fill the gaps. Also, I heard somewhere that if the Teen Titans Go Movie does well then we're getting another season of the good Teen Titans show. But anyways, back to to Lego discussion. Do you guys think if we are getting another season of Teen Titans that we would also get sets based on them, or maybe some sets based on Young Justice? -

I guess if you really need them you could just order them on BrickLink from another country, I don't blame you if you don't though, frankly its a hassle I was just thinking, Luke's hairpiece in the 75200 Ahch-To Island Training set in a dark brown color would be perfect for Anakin in the Clone Wars sets, almost too perfect... -

Future DC Super Heroes Rumors & Speculation
Mountain Drew replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
If Lego does make an updated fig for this design, it probably won't be until mid 2019, because the one January set they revealed had Batman in his Rebirth suit. Of course if you're impatient for a Hush batsuit (like me), I recently made a custom fig that is meant to look like the 2006 batsuit. I'll leave some links to the pieces I used.
