Marvel Superheroes 2018 - Set Discussion
Mountain Drew replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
I just recently got the set, it's pretty good for $20. And if I were you, I would by 2 of them, one for building and the other to sell when the set is in high demand. Well that's a relief, now I won't have to buy them from Europe or Canada at an outrageous price.- 3,962 replies

Future DC Super Heroes Rumors & Speculation
Mountain Drew replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
I wouldn't count on it, store exclusives are usually no more than $30, and I don't think theres ever been bigfig in a $30 set. I could be wrong though, maybe Lego will give us a pleasant surprise for Christmas. -
DC Superheroes 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion
Mountain Drew replied to Anonknee Muss's topic in LEGO Licensed
Well thats a bit disappointing, I figured there would be 3 sets released in that wave, but we're only getting 2. Plus the price is about $30, so that will probably make the set too small to be something I would want to get, like yet another mech that we've never seen in any in comics or media before. Hopefully the minifigs will save it. -
Future DC Super Heroes Rumors & Speculation

Sadly, even though they have dozens of characters we haven't gotten in physical form yet, we'll probably get yet another Batmobile with a mediocre sidebuild, some $20 set that will include maybe 1 or 2 characters we've already gotten and some odd vehicle, and if we're lucky a somewhat-expensive 4th set that will include characters that are fan-favorites so that people would absolutely need to buy it to get them. And all of these will probably have some item that you need to collect, like how they the Infinity Stones. I'm not trying to be a nihilist, I'm just looking back on Lego's track record. -

Correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't there rumors of two more Infinity War sets coming out this year, one for $50 and another for $150?- 3,962 replies

Future DC Super Heroes Rumors & Speculation
Mountain Drew replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
Well if another Funhouse is off the table, then how about a Jokermobile, that's something we haven't gotten yet, not unless you count the Lowrider as a Jokermobile. Although I find it more likely that we'll just get some random side build for the Joker instead of an actual vehicle. -

Cough 'New 52 Superman' Cough 'Kang the Conqueror' Cough 'Lord Vortech' Cough Maybe another Funhouse playset is in order, it would also give Lego a good opportunity to give us that awesome Commissioner Gordon minifig, perhaps as a hostage. -

The only so called "leak" I've seen for 2019 was the list of the January wave of Star Wars sets, but there's been no real confirmation of any of these sets being released, although I think the Clone Wars ones seem more likely than any. -

I'd be willing to pay up to $80 for an updated V-19, as long as has some CW characters we haven't gotten in a while, if at all (Captain Rex, Commander Cody, Obi-Wan, Plo Koon, Shaak-Ti, Kit Fisto, General Grievous, Etc.) -
I can see why, it's an excellent set. I wouldn't be surprised if it gets nominated for Toy Of The Year.

Am I the only one here who's really tempted into getting the RC Batmobile? I mean the Arkham Knight-style Batman is an excellent minifig, but I saw a video of how the controls work and what the Batmobile can do and stuff, and its actually one of the better Lego RCs I've seen. I'll probably modify it to make it look like the Batmobile from the game, though.

Future DC Super Heroes Rumors & Speculation
Mountain Drew replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
I just read the director of the movie, Matt Reeves, just said he's officially working on the script, and filming should begin next year, sometime in the summer. And I was wrong, he said its not just an adaption of Year One, but its like a noir-style investigation. He also said that hes looking back on his favorite stories to gain inspiration, so there is still a chance we could see a new costume. Also I don't know if this really means anything, but he said hes still in talks with Ben Affleck, so he could still be Batman maybe? I'm sure as soon as I say this an article would come out saying something like "Ben Affleck is officially not in The Batman". Here's the link to the article in case anyone wants to read it for themselves: http://www.syfy.com/syfywire/the-batman-director-matt-reeves-script-and-production-update -

Marvel Superheroes 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion
Mountain Drew replied to Anonknee Muss's topic in LEGO Licensed
Well a Daredevil fig is pretty much confirmed, thanks to the reference/tease for him in Sanctum Sanctorum Showdown. The Disney/Fox deal should be done by late 2018-early 2019, but Marvel can't officially plan anything for F4 or X-Men until the deal goes through, so I wouldn't expect any sets based around the characters until January 2020 at best. But on the bright side, theres probably not going to be a Deadpool 3, so that leaves opportunity for Lego to finally give us an updated Deadpool fig in an actual set instead of a Comic Con exclusive. I heard that there was a canceled Deadpool-based set that was supposed to be released sometime in 2016, but then the first Deadpool movie was announced (an R rated movie) and Lego didn't think it was an appropriate time to release a set based around the same character, so it was canceled, and the set number (76060) instead went to the Doctor Strange's Sanctum Sanctorum set. But now that there are no planned movies to feature Deadpool until X-Force (and who knows when that will be) its the perfect time to finally give us another Deadpool so I won't have to pay $40 for one. -

If it is true that they aren't producing them anymore then they'll probably just release the figs in Avengers 4 sets or something. Or maybe they are just playing word games and they're releasing a version without the big Toys R Us logo on it.- 3,962 replies

DC Superheroes 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion
Mountain Drew replied to Anonknee Muss's topic in LEGO Licensed
I think they only did the Knightmare Batman one because its a fig people have wanted since 2016, the only other excuse I could think for Lego to produce these little battle packs because maybe they want to make some stocking stuffers before Christmas. I'm not saying a battle pack for every movie wouldn't be welcome, I'm just saying its probably not something you should expect. -

Lego probably saw how high-in-demand the Funko porgs were in and wanted to jump on the bandwagon. I kinda like the set, though I would wait till I can get it for $80 or less since there doesn't seem to be any exclusive pieces in the set. I do like the porg scream play-function though. -

They'll probably just take elements from Year One and other stories and just mix them in to the story, like they did with the Dark Knight trilogy. I'll keep an open mind until I see some footage or set photos or even a cast. Plus Andy Serkis is in talks to be involved, and he seems to know what hes doing. After all, he was in Star Wars, Black Panther, Planet of the Apes, Lord of the Rings, etc. But anyway, back to the Lego discussion. -
Future DC Super Heroes Rumors & Speculation
Mountain Drew replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
Well even if the Year One thing isn't true, I heard that its at least based on a younger Batman (Not Batfleck), so if they're going to use a different actor to play Bruce Wayne, they're probably going to use another suit to differentiate, and since the DCEU batsuit that we've seen since BvS is based on The Dark Knight Returns comic (in which Batman fights Superman in one sequence) there is still a good possibility that we could get a Year One-based batsuit in the movie, for lore reasons. I don't know if we're getting a set based on the movie, since the movie doesn't come out until like 2020, all I'm saying is its possible. And even if we don't get a set based on the movie, we could still get the Year One batsuit in a different set, like they did with the thrasher batsuit in the Attack Of The Talons set. But again, all I'm saying is its possible. -

Just to start a discussion, I heard that The Batman is to be based on the Year One story arc, maybe we could get a minifig based on the Year One costume. Also, Andy Serkis is supposed to be the Penguin in the movie, so there is potential to see him return as a minifig. -
I'm probably gonna wait a bit before getting any sets from this wave, the Star Wars ones are overpriced, I don't have any interest in Harry Potter, there are no Marvel sets, and the DC sets are kind of weird.

Marvel Superheroes 2018 - Set Discussion
Mountain Drew replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Well all they need to do is make a comics-based set with an updated Deadpool and it would probably sell like hotcakes. I can see why they wouldn't do it right now, seeing as Deadpool 2 is coming out on Blu-Ray in a couple weeks, and how some parents probably won't notice that its an R rated movie. Maybe sometime in the next couple of years, since Dark Phoenix and New Mutants are the last 2 Fox X-Men movies. Maybe even sooner, since theres that rumor going around that Fox is going to cancel both of these movies due to extensive reshoots and stuff.- 3,962 replies

The guy that posted it called the fig Emma Fuhrmann, so idk. It kind of looks like it could be Hermione from Harry Potter, but I don't think shes ever worn that outfit in the movies or anything. Guys Disney just purchased Fox, which means that they get the rights to the X-Men and the Fantastic Four to be in the MCU. Do you think we could seem some of those characters appear in future sets? Because I thought there was some big thing going on with Fox that they didn't even want the X-Men to appear in Marvel Superheroes 2.- 3,962 replies

Did anyone else see that Emma Fuhrmann minifig leak? Shes supposed to be playing Cassie Lang in Avengers 4. The supposed leak has been going around Instagram, but it looks fake, but I can't tell due to the giant watermark. It looks like her legs are that new short leg piece that they just introduced in the Harry Potter CMF, except pink and theres some sort of print on it. Shes wearing yellow dress with a fabric skirt. Can anyone confirm if its real, or did I just invest waaaaaay too much time into typing this?- 3,962 replies
