Since then he has celebrated Merrymorn, found the weapon of Zeus, built a treasury for it, built a fort, been imprisoned in that fort, raised money for the church roof, built a temple of Poseidon on heathen shores, and listened to stories of the Great Alliance States. This promotion would make him a Canon, in line with the Baronetcy that his nephew would inherit.

...I don't bloody know what the Abbé was thinking, setting up a Church of Poseidon in Mesabi Landing of all places. By all that's holy, even Meloche wouldn't've done something as mad as this. He can claim that the tidal wave that desolated this town was the will of the god, and that the heathens got what they deserve. I just wish he wouldn't do it when we're surrounded by the buggers. Completely agree. It was just the grey building a first, so I threw some colour in to spice things up. Then I added two aliens and the speeder truck, and suddenly it all got to be a bit too much...

And risk them running off? Besides, there's a lot you can do tactically with a good length of chain...
