  1. If I'm honest, this whole build came about because I had the teal parts, and no idea what to do with them. I knew I wanted to go back to Gigor to revisit the base there, and hopefully take Clan Eldar one step closer to controlling the planet. Since this whole phase of Fnab's journey is about building up strength (recruiting people, digging up caches, planting listening stations) the next obvious step was to find some ships. This whole build was the work of an afternoon, so I didn't want to spend too long on it. It is mostly a facade, and I only bothered building what I knew would be visible. To my eye the biggest issue is the scale of the hangar. That entrance needs to be at least twice as wide in every direction if a ship is going to fly in there. That said, I still like this build. I think it holds up really well under scrutiny, and I don't feel my usual urge to go back and tinker.
  2. *Your entry has earned 6 XP* And then they really went and messed my life up. Val and Rusty asked me if I knew of any ships they could take. And, as you well know, I did. But it meant going back to Gigor. When The Triumvirate tested their Hyperspace Dragnet on that ice ball, they didn't really have an end-goal for the ships they caught. Sure, the passengers were triaged, imprisoned, ransomed or pressed into service. Goods and inventories were confiscated and auctioned. But the ships were impounded and quietly ignored. When the project was wound down, a skeleton guard battalion was left to guard the ships, which were about the only thing left that was worth stealing. And I happened to have all the code cylinders needed to access them. Rusty was keen on a full-frontal assault; descending from the heavens in a rain of fire - he really enjoyed on that tactic as I remember. But I managed to persuade Val to let me try a non-violent approach. I can only imagine what trouble Lieutenant Boran got into when Triumvirate Command found out that a turncoat diplomat brazenly walked in and demanded that he allow civilian pilots to remove all of their ships. I checked shortly afterwards and my code cylinders had been swiftly revoked. Ah well, I can't say I feel sorry for them. Removing the last thing of value in the Triumvirate base meant that those troopers could leave Gigor and head home. And from my time on the planet, I know I would've kissed anyone who arranged that for me.
  3. *Your entry has earned 8 XP* And then, I tried to find a quiet corner to relax in. Azure actually has some pretty decent architecture in places. Reminds me of Naboo. But, sadly it wasn't to be. Rusty found me eventually and insisted I train in the "Way of the Rising Phoenix" (get some experience with a jetpack). At first, I was actually pretty interested. There have been times in my life (such as, for example, my recent adventure on Gizer) when a jetpack might have been very useful. However, Rusty's training methods were more the "throw them off the deep end and hope they swim" school of thought. And jetpacks just plain don't agree with me. I tried, I really did, but I don't think I'll ever enjoy the sensation of solo flight.
  4. I love the build, I think. Can we have a few more photos though?
  5. Nice little SNOT base, and I like the tree, too. Cute!
  6. That's a really pretty little tub.
  7. I thought Barracuda Bay was one? *Not joking*
  8. It's a really great idea. Not really the Canon's style, but I'll see if I can enter.
  9. We don't often see ships of this size, so kudos for building it. Looks really nice.
  10. Using a scapegoat to justify Triumvirate occupation are we? How very Imperial of you.
  11. That's good. I was just asking because I know there has been some overlap before.
  12. Love the Rogue One reference. Thanks for lending him to me. Good luck to you!
  13. I know, right? There's a lot of talk about the Mandos here, considering they aren't even here.
  14. Will there be a new limited time challenge for August? Or will it wait til September now?
  15. That is a really brilliant tree build. Kudos. Honestly. Sometimes necessity is the mother of invention.
  16. If anyone fancies joining the Factions RPG, we're always looking for more recruits in our Mandalorian Clan: https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/178413-faction-clan-eldar-ce/
  17. There's some really nice detailing all over this build. The holo-ad works great face-on. The trans-blu on the pavement is a nice touch, and I really love doing a scene in the rain. Even though it did get me wondering how standing water evaporates in Coruscant. It must have to get very hot very far underground... It's good to see Black Sun back in action as well. Making moves on Coruscant? Very interesting.
  18. Not speaking for the admins here, so wait for official confirmation, but my understanding is this: I think it's a 32x32 "footprint". So none of the base bricks can be outside this area. But a certain amount of overhang is allowed. Any bases that are half a plate too wide would probably be generously ignored, but any more egregious breaches would likely see you docked points. If you just completely skipped that rule, admins would likely have a word with your faction leader and try to reach an alternative solution.
  19. Love the textures, the designs, and the speeder. A really nice little build.
  20. Naturally. We need both carrot andstick...
  21. She seems less overtly religious, more Florence Nightingale. But we welcome her presence!
  22. This is the first time I used it: https://flic.kr/p/2dcstEc
  23. Killed by his own clone.
  24. I'll take it. Gonna need to MOC up some more troops, though. And find something useful for them to do.
  25. What if they shot them somewhere else and then just dumped the body here?
