I wonder if we’ll get any members of the Bad Batch in Clone Wars sets. They would be nice to get, but not at the expense of characters like Maul and Bo Katan. And there probably aren’t enough CW sets to include every important character from the new season. I just hope they don’t waste minifig slots on characters like Ahsoka’s new Coruscant friends

If you say so, but I think the point still stands that plenty of overscaled UCS sets have come with minifigures. I don’t see why this is any different. These sets are targeted at collectors after all.

The Snowspeeder, Y-Wing, Star Destroyer, TIE Fighter and Super Star Destroyer all came with great minifigures even though they aren’t minifigure scale. Same with tons of regular sets that are nowhere near minifigure scale and still included figures. Minifigures are always nice, especially for collectors. I have no interest in putting the figures in the cockpit or trooper deck. But it would still be nice to get minifigures to add to the collection

Agreed. It’ll be based on the films, probably AOTC specifically so if any figures are included it’ll be one or two unnamed clones (probably Pilots) and maybe Obi-Wan or Anakin or something. Personally I think an ideal lineup would be two Clone Pilots, Obi-Wan, Anakin, and Padmé. Obviously that’s already a stretch. I would call that best case scenario. I’ll honestly be very happy no matter what figures are (or aren’t) included That would be amazing

I don’t know about everyone else, but I would much rather have a 21st Galactic Marine battle pack than a 501st

Right, whatever it’s from it’ll be fantastic. My best guess is Ep. II but obviously I don’t know for sure. I don’t see them doing a CW UCS set. Technically the Gunships in Ep. II and Ep. III are the same so it would really come down to any figures to be the deciding factor (although it may be better to include no figures at this point because some people will riot if the entire 501st and every Jedi are not included). I’m very interested to see what scale they go with. Personally I’m hoping for larger than minifig scale

They pretty much said it was going to be an Episode II version. I wonder if they’ll use the larger hinged dome piece from the Cantina and Ben’s Hut for the rounded side and wing cannons

That’s exactly what I’ve been thinking. I think this was more of “what do you want first” I’m surprised over 50% voted for the Gunship. I’m very happy with the results and I do hope we get the other two at some point

I’m hoping for the Gunship but honestly it’s like choosing between three great looking pieces of pie. Any one of them will be delicious. I think the Nebulon B will come out on top though

I built custom shelves for the new sets, with the length and depth that I wanted. Works really well, but after this next wave I may have to make more

I think it’s a nice little set, even though the only big draw is Venom Iron Man. It’s not too expensive and Carnage is always a good seller

They know it will sell. That’s why they’re waiting. If they release all the best sets that will sell instantly right away, they’re shooting themselves in the foot because then later all they will have to release are less desirable sets. They’re saving some of the best ones to keep the theme going longer

Very nice, I started to do something like this then stopped because the D2C came out so I got less picky about the other sets. Your design is much more thought out than mine, I like it a lot

I’m sure it will happen down the line, don’t let that stop you from enjoying the things we are getting which is a lot more than we ever had before

Seems to be a trend now. There was a guy in the Star Wars thread saying the same thing a little while ago

Somehow I just didn’t see them going back to movies they already covered so I wasn’t pleasantly surprised by the news. I think next year’s sea will be based on JW3? So maybe the following year they can broaden the range a little to include more JP products (even though I understand that JP is less relevant to children than JW)

You’re describing me as well but I’m very happy with what we’ve been getting. I wanted more “important” characters out of this wave too, but I’m sure they will happen, and this way we’ll have some lesser important characters as well (I just generally consider students lesser important because they have slightly less appeal to me, not that they aren’t important to the plot). This theme is slow but steady and has so much still to offer. It’s only been two years and look how much we’ve already gotten compared to older versions of this theme

Nice to be getting a Gallimimus and Ankylosaurus plus the baby Triceratops and baby Ankylosaurus. I wonder if the Indominus will be at all different from the previous version. Bummer there’s still no Brachiosaurus or Mosasaurus (and I wouldn’t say no to a Spinosaurus). But I’m loving the Dinos we’re getting!

For this wave, I’m honestly more interested in the possible minifigures than the sets themselves. I really hope I’m not disappointed but at the same time trying not to get my hopes too high

So minifigs for Clone Wars sets probably aren’t known yet by leakers?

Yeah I think the size of the 2013 version was perfect. If it’s redone (I don’t think it will be this year but when it eventually is) I think it should be about the same size but with more pieces for added detail and to block big gaps. Same with the Gunship
