I think people would go to stores and burn the sets on the shelves if it doesn’t come with Joyce. And yeah that set not coming with Lockwood was kind of ridiculous

Welcome! It’s always nice to find other people with the same passions as ours. You picked a good time to join the discussion since official reveals could come almost any day now. The addition of spell effects to the new wand piece is something a lot of people want. I could see it happening at some point once TLG catches on to that particular desire of ours, they seem to be putting a lot of fan service into these sets.

The fact that we’re getting a HP advent calendar speaks for itself. The theme works very well and TLG knows it. They also know they have an audience of long time HP fans and not just children looking for neat Lego sets. The Easter eggs and details they put into these sets tell me that they are made by HP fans for HP fans. It does look like they had a little bit less of a budget for this year’s wave but I still see tremendous effort, and I bet I’ll be even more impressed once we get images (I’m still skeptical about that Horntail).

There are three things right off the bat that I wonder about the 2020 Harry Potter sets (since before you had mentioned a 2020 discussion). Will there be 2 waves like there are this year (even though wave 2 is very small)? Will it keep up the trend of 2 films at a time, 2020 being films 5-6? And will we get CMF series 2? These are probably the main things to speculate about at this point -
This is the exact minifigure lineup I’m hoping for. It covers all the essentials, it would be perfect. I feel like side characters like Barb would be dead weight in this set

I’m a little late to this but looking at the measurements of the sets, I’m very impressed. The Horntail sounds like it will be a decent size but the Clocktower will be huge! It has to be more than $90, it’s gotta be $100 at least, for that size. I’m really looking forward to adding it to the rest of the Hogwarts builds we got last year. So excited for images

Well the sets came out a month later last year (in the US) than they do this year, so the reveal should be earlier than last year

TLG sure are taking their sweet time in revealing these sets. I hope it’s this week. I really just want to see them already and then all this leaking business can be over

I think the description said it was buildable I just want to see if the Horntail lives up to expectation or if it disappoints. I’m very torn on its descriptions so I’m anxious to see it for myself. Of course I want to see all the other ASAP as well but that’s the one I’m most anxious to see
