  1. I thought you were the Contest Idea man?
  2. For Book's, I've enjoyed "On Stranger Tides". It's a good story about Pirates and a guy called Jack Chandagnac who get's forced to join to travel to the Foutain of Youth. It's what the New Pirates of the Caribbean movie is based on. I'd also recommend the Bounty Trilogy.
  3. Very nice! But what is up with his left hand? Look's like its transforming from Human to Lego!
  4. I just found out that my French Oral Exam's may be postponed to next week because my French Teacher, Mr. Tilles is stuck in Belgium! Also a few other Language teachers are stuck in certain countries.
  5. I watched "Hitler's Bodyguard" episode today and It showed Hitlers secret tour around Paris during the early hours of the morning to stop threats from newly conquered citizens. It had some extremely good images of France being paraded and open areas of the city with just Hitlers car, so you could see the vast open spaces, before Skyscrapers were built. Have a look at some of those documtaries, I watch them nearly everyday.
  6. I've been thinking Ratshot. Should we all post what Battles we are thinking of making, And it will be a suprise which one we decide to make? Because it will be much easier to find out, and much, much easier to stop people getting angry about someone "stealing" their idea. In another thread, of course.
  7. It'll give people time to work on their entries!
  8. Very nice! Although not historically accurate, Its still a brilliant read! See, Many of the Nazi Book Burnings took place before the war, During 1933-1934, Just around the time Hitler had enough power not to be arrested for these public attacks. So, mabye, Put the Germany visit first in the story, then the Invasion of France. Also, To add to the Germany story, If your putting it first in the story, I'd say how you really would have seen Germany around that time. Many reporters and just holiday people believed Hitler had made Germany great, it was sunny, everyone they saw, or where allowed to see, where happy with life and praised him for what he had done. You could make your character think "Hmm, mabye he has helped Germany, even after the things the US Papers have said about him...Mabye he is good" then the Book burning part, and say you went out in the morning to get the local paper and you saw a smoking synagoge and then you see the Nazi paper, and it mentions nothing on it because of censorship. Just a few Ideas I learnt from watching a Documentary on what Nazi life was like. Because 1933 and 1940 are such long distances of time, I'd say, change the book burning or make your character arrive in late 1933 and mabye leave Germany in 1935, at the height of Nazi Germany's peace and then return at 1940 to France and see the rounding up of prisoners and the cruelty. Just my ideas. I know if your characther is staying in Germany for about 2 years seems quite long, but mabye he could have been at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin - Berlin University or something.
  9. With the torsos, I believe your gonna have to resort to Decals because the Inca's Poncho look.
  10. Well, The Inca had a variety of clothing and armour. For the Women servants (Who would have served the Sapa Inca (Emperor)). For a certain headress, I'd recommend this, but custom it by painting parts: For a strange headress, I'd say use this: Or, You could cut off the horns to make this style hat: Also, This would look nice on the Emperor: With the weapons, I'd go for a nice standard weapon. This is a nice "Axe/Baton": These two items would make a nice club, Inca Army standard club: Or this Brickforge Item: You could also copy that Brickforge Idea of a feathered Helmet. Although it wouldn't be correct.
  11. Probably, But how would you make it a exact sideways angle?
  12. I'd say go for the "The Battle of the Plains of Abraham". Good Decisive British Victory!
  13. The only problem is, Armada hats are quite expensive and I would need quite a few to re-enact Pizarro's men. Also I would need alot of Incas from the Indiana Jones sets. Its gonna be extermely expensive for one time contest.
  14. It's like your a fortune teller! Don't forget that his a Rat, So he must already be dirty and naked. So the authorities will think "Oh, No big surprise with a name like that!"
  15. I might aswell post another Happy Birthday on this thread! Heres your present: Tailor made for just this occasion! Enjoy!
  16. Shame Lego stopped the Imperial Armada sets...I wanted to make the "Battle of Cajamarca" but I would have to buy alot of Indiana Jones sets!
  17. Sorry for the long delay, I forgot about them! Here they are, And the special "Zorro's Birthday" edition! Admiral William: The Commodore and his beloved Cigars: Zorro's Party: Curtislee: I'm holding it until he realeases the secret of the LDD Decals!
  18. Sorry for the late reply, But I was making a specialised smiley for a special event. Happy Birthday!
  19. Indeed! Well the scenes are quite basic to understand. Theres the first scene with Beth and John and the Seagulls. Pirate attack. Fight between John and Davies. The Bargain (Join or Die). New Providence Camp (Fires and Puppet show). The months passing (A variety of scenes able to make). Into the Swamp. And so on.
  20. Tell us or tell my sword!
  21. I could do a MOC on the new one, It's based off "On Stranger Tides" which I'm actually reading right now, Hopefully they make the movie good.
  22. I have made a Updated version using the newly found "LDD Universe" mod. I can colour any brick, any colour. And have a new variety of bricks, So I was finally able to complete it: However you cannot buy it direct from Pick-A-Brick because of the out of production bricks and such.
  23. How did you get the Imperial Uniform? I can only seem to get Snowtrooper, Farmers, City, Some Star Wars but no Pirates Decals?
  24. He knows, It was a joke.
  25. It shouldn't matter. France doesn't have an Army! "Here's something interesting for you Nicolas, an army! You won't recognize it, you don't have one in France!" - Hugh Dennis - Mock the Week
