Thats one of the problems with standard Lego contests. If someone has a High-Def Digital Camera, lots of gadgets and macro shot, And a nice white background with super shiny polished bricks. They make their entry stick out and they win the Tournament hands down, Not that their entry isn't bad, But review nearly every contest on this forum. I bet its a clear photoed entry.

Loving it! Shame it still may be a "Shiny Brick-Clear Camera" straight win contest, But I guess it's better than nothing!

This happened to me this morning infact! I was modding my Falconi "T.U.R.T.L.E" and I found some Blackbricks like the jumper tile and stuff. I chucked them in my black box. A few minutes later I decided to change the gunners stance, so I needed the jumper plate, And one of the problems with Black is...Its black. So damn annoying when its dark and your scanning through a box.

I don't know why. I'm interested in Nazi Germany, I'm studying it for History. I felt like making some MOC's but to try not to include the Swastika at any moment, The thing is, It was all over Germany in WWII, Everywhere you looked so its gonna be hard for me to do this project, Unless I put it on MOCpages or something where it won't offend. I think one of the reasons we are fascinated was because, the Nazi Party was very friendly with Britain before the war, Our King was friends with Hitler, Chamberlain went to visit e.t.c. So we are fascinated because we don't understand how a country in so much poverty because of our own Treaty of Versailles had grown so fast and so well. Because at the time we were not away of the cost the Nazi's had done until 1943 when Churchill recieved documents. Now we are blabbering on about what belongs in "The History Thread". Come talk about it there.

Will this aid at all, to getting a New Pirate theme? I will still do it, But I'm wondering why the Pirates want Architecture instead of giant pirate ships.

Don't be so sure. The British firing squad want torture the French into believing that the execution has been cancelled so they turn around to walk away, But as you can see: So, a Redcoat fail has turned about to be a deception, so...Bluecoat failure. You just got "Touché'd" by your own Bluecoat language...

Sure, I'll get on everyones first thing tomorrow. But for now, Off to bed to carry on reading "On Stranger Tides"!

It's very nice! Where do you buy these from? I've seen a few Enlighten Brick type sets in Wilkinsons and TKMax a few times but never a steady supply! Those Eagles staffs could come in handy for my project...

First you get the Smiley and choose the magic wand: Select the outline of the smiley, the bits you don't want white: Select Colour in the Toolbar and go down to Colour to Alpha: A little menu will come up, saying "This is what it looks like, blah blah blah, Just press ok and it should turn out like this: Now, Save it as a PNG, Remember, Select it as a file type from the menu below: Then it will say "Blah blah", Just click Save: And upload the File on Photobucket, Brickshelf, Imageshack, Blargabloog, Bligableeg e.t.c.

I have had a more, Non-Lego relying contest. I mean, Yes, Their are amazing Lego MOC's made during contests but they are won too easily by using new shiny bricks or clear photography. There should be a truly unique style. I thought about making a Contest where you make a Comic or a Story about Nautical times. No Redcoat comic about Bluecoats stupidy, Just a proper story about a merchant or pirate or civilian e.t.c. Obviously you will come up with something better but still, Thats the gist of the idea.

Paint for making, GIMP for Transparent background or "Alpharing".

Holey Moley. I didnt hear about this. Isn't that a bit of strange to put every important official of a country into one plane? I understand it was for an important anniversary, but leaving extremely important people on a 20-year-old airplane with known problems? It's extremely sad and devastating on Poland. I am sorry.

WIP: Achille and Guerrière, French Frigates of 28 guns
Joey Lock replied to BrickPerfection's topic in Pirate MOCs
It would be a shame to destroy those lovely ships, And since I have had no quarrel with you Admiral, A truce? -
Everyone knew I was going to comment once in a while! Huzzah! Kill the Rats and Traitors! Where is the 3rd Bluecoat (With the Tricorne)'s face from?
-
Thanks! Yes I will make a closed version. But what type of closed version? With a solid roof or cloth roof? Once I make it in real bricks I will paint on the Chrome trim and use real cloth rolled up at the back.

Here the Admiral: By request.
-
Yeah, I was going to use those anyway but thats for the consideration. Its just LDD doesn't provide those doors from my knowledge.

I am going to be making some WWII Moc's and I wanted to build some civilian houses and areas for warfare. I decided to build a well known vehicle of the time, The Mercedes-Benz 770k Parade/Staff Car. It was used by Adolf Hitler, Hermann Goering and Gustav Mannerheim. Of course, the reason for Red Doors and White grill is because LDD haven;t produced those colours yet. But I will be making it from Bricklink bricks hopefully. Comments, Criticism e.t.c. All welcome.

Most Annoying and Best Adverts in your Country?
Joey Lock replied to Jipay's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I agree. Thats why every Beer advert or pastry advert is British, But their adult aimed. Kids hate Vegetable pasties from Greg's or can't drink Beer so they need some British toy adverts! -
