  1. Welcome to Eurobricks, Brickvon! I'll check out your channel for sure.
  2. Hey Martin, how are you? Welcome to Eurobricks! It's great to see more people from Lego's motherland joining us here on Eurobricks. Your story sounds much like my own. I really think you'd enjoy @Marghal's Youtube channel, who makes content and reviews for Castle and Pirates, here. Check it out and come say Hi on the videos. It'd be great if we could all support one another. Enjoy your stay.
  3. I feel the same. I just can't justify £190 to ship to the UK for a moc. If the figures were half unique, maybe; but no. It's a real pity because I so wanted to back this project. Luckily, it didn't need my backing. In other news, welcome back @Itaria No Shintaku. Hadn't seen you in a while. Hope you're well.
  4. Welcome to Eurobricks. Be prepared to spend a lot of money for a Pirate Ship!
  5. Wow some great train mocs. Welcome to Eurobricks!
  6. Hey @BrickJonas, your Bricklink project is killin' it mate. You're definitely going to get 100% funding. Well done. https://www.bricklink.com/v3/crowdproject/view_design.page?id=63693
  7. I see. Thank you for the pricing info. This is a hard sell for me then. I really really want to support it but that is a lot of money for a non-official Lego set. @Aanchir What are your thoughts? Does the price change your view on it's value? It's 2000 pieces apparently.
  8. Woah, that's pricey. Does that include shipping internationally?
  9. Haha I hadn't even noticed those. They had cuffs or shackles back in medievil times right? That or he has a kinky side.
  10. I believe this is taking it too far now and bordering on personal attack, which, I know you tried to misrepresent me as doing once. Maybe you're not being serious; it's hard to tell. I appreciate good discussion, but I meant what I said in my last post here, which is why I haven't read the response or responded to it since. That said, you have to appreciate someone who puts so much effort into giving thoughtful responses, even if you totally disagree with it. It takes real time to write that stuff. Sometimes I wish I could meet the people that I disagree with in real life just to see if the venomosity carries over to RL or not. I think that most of the time, we'd all find more in common than that which we are at odds with. Sorry for derailing. Back to discussing what we wish Lego would throw into Room 101.
  11. Hola Raul, Welcome to Eurobricks; we're pleased to have you here with us.
  12. Welcome to Eurobricks. Get yer mocs out for the lads!
  13. Welcome to Eurobricks, Raystafarian. I hope you continue your rediscovered interest in Lego and join us all here again and again.
  14. Welcome to Eurobricks! What sets are you rebuilding?
  15. Great stuff! I like miniature Grand Hotel.
  16. I love it. My favourite era of Castle looks beautiful here.
  17. Welcome to Eurobricks, Jonas. It sounds like you're quite talented, maybe you could link some of your moc pictures? That'd be nice. We're glad to have you here.
  18. Dan. DAN. DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANN. DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNN. (Alan Partridge anyone? ). Welcome to Eurobricks. The good news for you in that there are currently at least 2 Collectible Minifigure Series (CMF) available in the UK (4 if you know where to look) and 2019 has at least 3 series for release. 1. The Lego Movie 2 CMF (currently available in Argos and some W H Smiths, but officially released on February 1st. 2. May 2019 series. Unknown. 3. September 2019 series. Unknown. What is known is that one of those unknown lines is Disney series 2 CMFs, but which one is unknown. If you need tips on where to buy in the UK, let me know. I'm a Lego Del Boy.
  19. I'd like to see Monorail fans get some sets too. Why can't we have that in addition to what classic fans want? It doesn't all have to be at the same time so long as there's a clear plan to fill the demand. Demand is always good for business if it exceeds the costs, and I believe it does in most classic theme cases. Yeah but even so, I believe it's large enough. I also think that there's more cross-over than you might believe. I didn't really have town sets as a kid, just Space and Castle, but I still have nostalgia for it. Luckily, that's one area that *is* being served with City and Creator Expert modulars. But yet Benny's Space Squad was sold-out almost everywhere upon release. There's clearly a good demand for it. Sure it was a cheap set, but so was Sweetest Friends and the shelves are full of those. Although it's true that everybody has their own perfect vision of what they'd like to see from their favourite theme, I don't think it;s fair to look at them as totally separate and divided. For example, I think that most classic Castle fans would be happy and excited about a new Castle line in the style of the original Crusaders, Black Falcons etc, even if their preference was say, ...Knights Kingdom. I'll take your word for it as I wasn't here for that. You can never make everybody happy and the unhappiest are often the loudest, but that doesn't mean that they shouldn't try. Nothing is a guaranteed success, but chances are it would be successful *enough*. I know, I own it; and I agree that it doesn't resemble Classic Space very much, but I bought it anyway! Why? Because Green Classic Space People and the set is kind of cool anyway. It may not be my perfect Classic Space release, but I was happy to spend my money on it and have it in my collection, so maybe fans aren't very divided afterall. I don't think that can be compared to the love and nostalgia that the classic themes that I mentioned have, but I also wouldn't object to them bringing it back in some form. I don't see people asking for Aquazone back very frequently at all, but Castle, Classic Space and Pirates? All the time. My complaint isn't that I don't think they will *ever* release Castle again, or any other classic theme, but rather that it's been so long now and there doesn't seem to be any plans for it in the near future. I'm also pretty up to date on the leaks, so I can see pretty much the rest of this year, if rumours and pictures are to be believed - but maybe this isn't a good place to discuss that. And classic themes aren't the "be all and end all of Lego" for me either, but I still want them to return. They're important. This may not be the best thread to use as an example, sure; but this thread does not represent the majority of discussion surrounding classic themes. That said, there's nothing spiteful or dismissive inherant to this threads stated title - it's just seeking opinions about what people would prefer go away (perhaps to make room for their favourite theme?). Someone may have said TLM2 sets and I would disagree, but as long as it's presented in a constructive way then I can accept that. It's not "self-centered" to want classic themes back, since by very definition I am not alone in this desire and neither are others. And I also don't believe that I need to consider other people when I state what I would like to see return. That's my desire. I'm not here for some kind of Lego altruism, but I am interested in discussing *my* interests with others who share it. As above, I'm here for my interests. I'm not here to support others interests. Frankly, I'm not interested in supporting the latest Friends line or support Friends fans because I have no interest in it and no obligation to do that. I post here to read about things that I *do* enjoy and find others with similar interests, and within that "bubble" I am happy to extend discussion and support with other fans. Luckily, my interests are varied. That doesn't mean that I do not wish the best for Friends fans. If they're getting what they want, great, I'm pleased for them and hopefully Lego is making some decent dosh from that line. I still have zero interest in Friends and would have very little to discuss with a die-hard Friends fan. It's not "stuff I like=good" and "stuff I dislike=bad", it's stuff I like=good, stuff I dislike=I don't care so long as stuff that I do like is produced. Despite all of the things you said here, I don't feel distain for any of the examples you mentioned as milestones (such as Ninjago's 100th episode) and I'm happy for those fans - but it doesn't change my feeling that Lego is neglecting classic. So why is my having this attitude weakening the Lego fan community? I'm sure a lot of others feel like I do in this regard. Well it can be new designs from Lego, so official. And it can be targetted directly at the people I've been talking about (perhaps with a handful of sets in a given theme) rather that a pot luck chance that a fan will moc that gap in the market. Finally, I'd like to say that I hope you don't find my responses here as a personal attack, but I am passionate about Castle, various Space themes, Pirates, Vikings and other classic themes to return in some form, and I have sometimes felt that your responses have lumped all people with that desire in the same barrel as moaners and selfish, so I felt the need to reply...passionately. To the contrary, I appreciate your insight into all things Lego. Now I'd love to carry on the conversation as I'm sure you have many counter points to what I've said, but please bare in mind that I may not be able to respond again because this has taken a significant portion of my night to read and thoughtfully respond to as many points as I can. I don't know how you do it, but I can't anymore (unless it requires only a small response). Take care. P.S. - BRING BACK CASTLE!
  20. Hi everybody, I'm creating this thread to inform fellow UK members of present Lego deals in stores. Please feel free to add your own if it equates to 35% or more off, or is a special type of deal. 20% is common and so frequent that it would bog down the thread. I'll start... Argos has had a 2 for £15 deal on toys for some time, but now you can get these 3 lego sets in the deal: https://www.argos.co.uk/search/lego-2-for-1/category:15052090/brands:lego/ 75885: Speed Champions Ford Fiesta MSport WRC - normally £12.99 RRP on it's own. 31073: Creator Mythical Creatures Dragon - normally £12.99 RRP. 10900: Duplo Police Toy Bike - normally £10 (£9.99 RRP). So today I ordered 75885 & 31073 for £15 to collect in store. £7.50 each is not bad at all. The only thing with Argos is that your local store may not have all of the desired items but it shouldn't be a problem with these sets until the deal really catches on. Also... Store: The Entertainer (https://www.thetoyshop.com/) (note: deal not on website). 40268: Star Wars R3-M2 - £2 (normally £5 RRP). Seen in at least 2 different store locations. 5004394: The Lego Ninjago Movie Maker (with Jay(?) minifig) - £2.50 (Couldn't see RRP on this so posting because it was also clearance in more than 1 store).
  21. It looks good, but honestly I can't really relate to it because it's not a physical thing that I can see. One picture looks like you've part built it but that's incomplete so I'd reserve judgement. I hope you don't take that as criticism, it's just that I have a hard time connecting to LDD pictures which is why I would rarely vote for them on Ideas, for example. One thing I did notice is that it has a lovely curve piece above the front 2 windscreens which I find appealing. Sorry if I've missed something you said to clarify anything but I haven't read all of the posts, I'm just reacting to the pictures I see and the brief paragraphs above them.
  22. The first ship that you built from parts you already had. It appeals to me because A) It looks good, B) I relate to your story about mocing and having the pieces etc and C) It's simple in it's design, like most Classic Space was. It looks like I could build this set if I wanted to, which isn't something I could say about the latest Peter Reid spaceship, spectacular as that is.
