  1. If LEGO had thought this out a little better and released them as Minifig collectors theme packs we'd all be buying them till the cows come home and their annual profits would shoot through the roof. Just imagine Classic Space collection, Castle collection , Pirates collection, Paradisa collection and so on.... *drools over keyboard* The downside is of course they won't be quite be as vintage as the originals, can't forsee any non bley in the latest production runs.
  2. I noticed S@H has added a few extra sets since last week , it's annoying but then I guess my Bank manager won't be upset
  3. It was the same with my 7739. Those extra pieces sure are handy , a couple of minifig heads and the new hairpiece along with the other bits. I wonder how many batches with this extra bag made it off the factory line?
  4. Well in Legoland Windsor PAB it's £4.50 for a 100gms, which makes the price £45 per kilo. However the LEGO stores sell by a fixed cup size , £6 for small and £11 for large. You can obviously stuff a lot more smaller pieces in, but if you go for standard bricks you quickly fill the cup up. If you look at the online PAB different colours for the same part have different individual prices. It seems for smaller stuff you also end up paying more by piece than by weight. With all the different ways to pay I'd say it's more guestimate than an exact science that can defined.
  5. Yep, I've never got it to work yet in the last few years since I started to use Shop @ Home. Even when it does to take me to the courier website the tracking code had never worked.
  6. Thanks for the review. I'm looking forward to some of the new parts and ideas in this line. The figures look great. The actual sets themselves don't really appeal though.
  7. I normally buy duplicates in sales mainly for the parts and then leave them boxed until I need somethng. Then they get put in the parts bin. I also will buy duplicates of my very favourite sets and keep them for posterity. The original may get broken for parts or stay on display, depends on how much room I have.
  8. It was Shop at Home. I've heard that Bluewater are expecting stock sometime this coming week if that's any help. The rock piece isn't too bad, I believe it comes from some Bioncle playsets, although it obviously would have been better with a nice constructed cliff . They had to reuse it somewhere.
  9. Another stunning creation Ralph. Your attention to detail and accuracy is truly amazing.
  10. Strange, all the images are hosted via Photobucket. When I view the page they all appear okay. The code for the image link is definitely there. The odd person in the past has mentioned problems with viewing embedded images from Photobucket.
  11. Sadly the close up picture of the stretcher is basically the sick bay. I just called it that because presumably that's why the stretcher is in there.
  12. I'm with you on that one. sweet:
  13. This is an absolute work of art. I'm always inspired to try similar things by such wonderful creations but mine always turn out pants. It would indeed make an excellant setting for a pirate moc.
  14. This is one set that doesn't really interest me until it goes on sale. However for your problem I suggest calling Customer Service to get a replacement sticker sheet.
  15. Personally I much prefer the older dragons. To me they are pure LEGO before it started to follow the crowd a bit. Everyone seems happy for the shark and crocodile to make a comeback this year. The new dragons try too hard to appeal to the toy market (imho) and are more like an attempt to thwart MB. As for Bionicle style ones, meh.... The new trolls are great.
  16. Damn dark ages....
  17. It's me again, you're probably fed up with this but always save the best til almost last. 7738 Helicopter and Liferaft 7726 Truck and Speedboat 7739 Patrol Boat and Tower
  18. I'll get some set up tomorrow in better light. To be honest there isn't a lot to see, most of it is just basic technic blocks underneath with all the slopes built up on top.
  19. Hi all again. Another one of todays special deliveries. I think personally this set is great. Mars Mission is really finding it's feet. 7646 ETX Alien Infiltrator
  20. Hi all Newly arrived today, don't you just love Shop at Home. Thought I'd give it a quick review. See more details over at my site. The Tumbler: Joker's Ice Cream Suprise
  21. Great work. I especially like Anakin's face, if LEGO continue down their current path with SW figures they should look like this....
  22. I too am suprised the UK/Europe has done so well with all the Castle sets available for some time now and lots of other new releases appearing quickly. Still we did wait over a year and a half for Spongebob to finally make his first appearance and I've never seen any of them in any regular toy shops, they're still LEGO shop exclusives. Who knows how the marketing minds work at LEGO ???
  23. The other day I was on the phone to LEGO customer service about some broken parts in my brand new Hogwarts castle. For some reason the operator said they would be despatched as soon as possible and asked if it was my son's set. She sounded suprised when I said no, it's mine. The assistants in the LEGO brand stores are great, we're always chatting about stuff, but LEGO customer service don't seem to grasp that adults buy LEGO too.
