  1. I'm really hoping the snowspeeder set includes the new helmet molds, if it does it's a certain purchase for me (yey for Cloud City Lando).
  2. Yeah it's very annoying, been waiting for that pack to order from S@H...
  3. Yeah that makes sense. Perhaps a wrong guess in this instance then though :(
  4. Where did the info that it is coming out today come from? It seemed a little weird to me that these Oni were being released together with the Legacy wave...
  5. I do not see the oni villain pack in the Lego store, it was supposed to release today right?
  6. I have seen plenty of houses with glass in the bathroom door (maybe it's a EU thing?), but these are always tinted glasses and high up, say above 70% of the height of the door from the ground. Does not bother me too much.
  7. Brickvault review is online on Youtube, dark orange seems less appealing in this :(
  8. To my knowledge BB and DO have already been retired (may still be in stock at Lego store depending on region) I'm really liking the new Modular! Not a huge fan of the weird space in between the three sections, a weird choice in my opinion and I think people will be hard-pressed to find a real-life architectural style that this technique replictates. Otherwise great set, don't mind the price too much, will wait for discount as always.
  9. Guys keep it chill, we are all just trying to guess how Lego thinks based on our own ideas and their previous decisions, there really isn't any standpoint here that is objectively better than the other so no reason to get annoyed. Both your arguments come from different perspectives and though I tend to agree with ncx's ideas more, either of you make decent points and may be correct.
  10. I think buildings appearing in the City line is a solid argument against including such buildings as a modular. Lego fans are diverse and at least a substantial part of the people buying modulars will also buy the better large city buildings for use in a city or display. This doesn't mean that a Police/Fire station is out of the question, but Lego understands that these buildings will appeal less to a subset of their audience and thus will be more likely to include something else in the modular line that would appeal to more potential buyers. The comparisons with Technic and the brick bank by The_Nev make little sense to me, Technic is a whole different product with less overlap in fans than two System lines and large City bank sets are to my knowledge at the very least rare (do these even exist?). In contrast, the idea that a police station is unlikely because it would be hard to include other types of buildings in the set doesn't make sense to me. I think it is very possible for Lego to make a change to their recent choices and produce a modular with one single purpose building like they did in older modulars, they have shown little conservatism in the past and are clearly willing to break the mold with the modular line.
  11. They removed it because it is apparently fake! Carry on with the guess games :D
  12. A blurry picture of a modular garage close to the things described previously just leaked on instagram. If this is real, I am not too impressed, seems a bit bland.
  13. With all due respect for Lego and all their employees, I have no idea why we should refrain from discussing leaks out of respect for their wishes. I am their customer and if I enjoy discussing this type of information on a public forum that is what I will do.
  14. I'm happy with the way this looks, hoping the price in Euro's will not be too far away from the Dollar price. Kind of disappointed with the lack of exclusive minifigs in this though, was hoping for some more of the Serpentine like Skales or Acidicus and would have loved a Samukai remake even though it would not have made much sense in this set.
  15. I am not sure why Lego considers leaking to be so bad, it produces much more community engagement: A set leaks and generates tons of discussion, then when they reveal it and show more details it generates a bunch of discussion again. I for one would spend much much less time online looking at Lego-related things if leaks did not exist, because Lego-related news would be so very rare. With the regular leaks I look at this forum daily during the two or so months before a new wave is released to discuss the new leaks and the rumors. In that context, a leak of the new modular a week or so ago would have made me much more excited about the set than I will be coming Monday with no leaks, with the late reveal I just feel a little burnt out on waiting for information for several weeks expecting earlier info.
  16. Looks like the Instagram page all leaked sets appeared the last few waves was taken down...
  17. Theres no ruling out of anything, I police station would make a lot of sense! I just think that tweet should not be taken as a strong hint towards a police station as the next modular.
  18. Apparently they produced a second (or even third?) production run of PR because it is so popular, causing it to be on the shelves much longer compared to sets like BB that only had one run. It's a very all or nothing decision: either a set is on the shelves 1,5-2 years or it gets pushed to 3-4.
  19. The initial question already mentioned a police station though, so I think this is rather meaningless tbh
  20. Im digging the monastery set and that new overlord figure, am disappointed at the lack of a new Samukai as I am missing him in my collection. Overall a good wave I think.
  21. Any thoughts on the new Speeder chase set leaked on instagram? The Solo banner makes it seem fake to me.
  22. What Serpentine are you seeing on these pictures except Pythor? Is there an overview of the sets confirmed with their predicted minifig selection?
  23. Yeah it makes little sense to me unless its 5kg per shelf. Has anyone put multiple heavy sets in a IKEA Fabrikor?
  24. This one says max weight it can carry is 5 kg. Anyone have experience with the way Ikea determines these max weights? I was thinking of getting an Ikea Fabrikor (the wide version 82x113x42) to display Ninjago City and City Docks next to each other and it has a max weight of 10 kg mentioned on the label, those two sets weigh more than that together. As for SW UCS sets, I am using Ikea Besta base units with glass doors: 60x64x40cm and 60x38x40cm measurements that can be stacked on top of each other, each easily fits a UCS set plus some smaller sets and looks very nice.
