  1. LEGO should release a comercial version of that software, I would pay even 50€ for it, even more. I want a modern LDD with all the pieces, just that. Same simplicity, similar interface and "gameplay". The rest of the programs are very nice (I use them for the renders) but I would have to spend the double of time to design something with them. Thery are more complex and slow.
  2. I have to mention something that maybe some of you have missed. In the activities of LEGO Ideas or the contest, in the info appears LDD as a tool to make "legit designs". So I think that the program is not totally abandoned. Maybe they are making a new version, with a modern interface, physics, etc, but it goes slowly because will be free ( no benefits, the developing goes slow obviously, its not a priority of market )
  3. I have installed it and when I launch it, a message appears "cant connect to internet blablablabla", this didnt happen to me with the 4.3.11, but aparently is the same verion. In the "about" info everything is the same than in the 4.3.11. Could be maybe a fix and the big update (withe all the new parts) is coming? Would be the happiest day of the year for me... lol
  4. I personally love the mini chessboards, even only to be displayed lol
  5. Dont worry, my chess is completely playable, I have checked it many times...its a bit frustrating to see how many people say "thats unplayable, too tiny" without having it in front. I know that is your subjective opinion and I respect it, but I just think that kind of opinion damages the idea to other potential buyers who are not totally sure about it. This is the same chess but with the bottom in Dark Red I appreciate any support ??
  6. Exactly...the camera and controls are maddening. The technology is really nice but the "gameplay"...uffff needs much work. I wish happen that, dude... I wish we do not need support for previous versions, only the new pieces
  7. Yeah, I always import the LDD files in Stud.io to taking the wanted list and adding some new parts to the design. But is reeeaaaaaaly slow to work in Stud.io, looks like a digital art program, or 3D editor
  8. I understand what you say but Lego just could design a new interface and keep it simple with all the pieces like until now plus extra functions available to purchasing them. The problem is that the rest of programs are slower in the construction, much slower and less friendly, and many times the progress turns frustrating. But well...is just my opinion....
  9. Well, the interface of the software is from 2000's, have not render neither other functions. Its simply for building. Think in all the people doing models with it and ordering the pieces..... $$$$$$$$$$ Do you really think that this program is not profitable???... For example I do a lot of commissions, my customers buy around 5k pieces per design ( 600-700€ ), apart I dont buy official sets, only pieces for my own creations. And that thanks to LDD, so the company should be intelligent and improve its software, even I would pay 30-40€ for a polished version!!
  10. I use Stud.io and Mecabricks as well, but LDD is much faster and efficient in some things. I dont know why LEGO has abandoned LDD, it brings more money to the company... Kinda absurd, no??
  11. Hi, In theory, should be coming a new update for LDD, no?? Someone knows something about that?
