  1. The only thing I have heard about it being a D2C was just2good talking about it. But then again I quoted that a while ago and he wasn't saying it was one he was just saying that rumor says there will be a JP D2C set. All other sources and little informations I have heard hinted towards it being 75931, a 60$-70$ set with 289 pieces
  2. It would be more than just perfect but it's more of a dream set you two are discussing here as there is no indication of it being a D2C
  3. I would really recommend you two not to hype yourself up too much as you might get disappointed later on. As far as we all know it's a normal retailer set and won't even have Ian Malcom in it... A Brachiousaurus will never happen as it would require too many new and large molds Lego can't do. The Triceratops I could maybe see in another set (not the JP one) but I think there is a reason we haven't seen in yet. Either the rumor of the mold being broken is true or Lego only wants to include one Herbivore each line is because kids only want the Carnivores. Trust me the first Jurassic Park is and always will be my all time favorite movie but there is no indication of the set being a D2C whatsoever. Not a single rumor!
  4. Nah the JW franchise is bigger than you might think. You can google all of this it's on Wikipedia if you don't believe me but Jurassic World is the 4th highest grossing movie of all time just behind Star Wars Episode 7, Titanic and Avatar. It made a whopping $1,671,713,208! Let's look at Harry Potter on the other hand... the first time we get to see any HP movie on that list is on 8th place with HP 7 part 2... that "only" made $1,341,511,219 which is a good 330 million dollars less... There has to be quite a big fanbase to beat the last movie out of a movie series that had been going for 10 years at the time. So no HP isn't bigger than Jurassic World and even if it is it is very close
  5. Even thought I would love that and buy it in a heartbeat it will probably never happen... The Brachiosaurus is just way too big for a Lego mold. Even if they scaled it down it would still cost so much money to produce and they wouldn't risk it since kids seem to only want carnivores. I could maybe see a brick built one but never one that is molded like the current theme. By the way I think there's a reason Lego seems to only include carnivores in their sets. Maybe herbivores just don't sell with kids.
  6. Well not really... I also thought of that but his stud shooter is light grey with a dark grey push button. The one Alan Grant always has is silver with a brown push button
  7. Okay everyone let's not forget that just2good confirmed nothing really. He said "Anyways again there's more Jurassic World sets to be revealed but they'll be store exclusives and rumor has it we'll be seeing a D2C Jurassic Park set soon enough." so it is just a rumor he has heard. Nothing has been confirmed just yet
  8. Well people keep saying kitchen and control center because that is still the current rumor and it still would fit to the studshooter Alan has. Same goes for the Raptor. I wouldn't expect a T-Rex and Raptor in the same set tbh especially since it would be the same Rexy version and that is already in a Juniors set
  9. Yeah totally. I would at least expect an exclusive Owen with arm printing to show the leather scratch and bite protection he had in the trailer
  10. Pretty sure the baby Blue we saw a while ago will be in one
  11. I really guess all toy manufacturers get the same Raptor prop images from Universal as these two Raptors look really the same. I also don't think they intentionally based it on the toy here. I guess the pictures just look the same
  12. I wouldn't even say the lack of spikes on the Indoraptor head are what makes it look so odd... I think the reason you might not think it looks right is because the back of the head stands out more than it should... just like the crystal skull from Indiana Jones And agreed the little spot where the stripe ends is one of the only little things I don't like about it
  13. That was based on the very first Jurassic Park? Because the colour and brown stripes look exactly like the Lego version. It was a JP Raptor and not TLW one right?
  14. Yeah I guess since Lego has a contract with Universal they got some good pictures of the original animatronics. Also I don't think you have to be smart to hunt in long grass... some animals with really small brains also do that. I guess I am just a fan of the originals
  15. I really hope that's true... I also know what you are talking about with the colour and stripes of the Raptors just looking grey because of after effects and the camera quality from 25 years ago. The thing is just why make the stripes so prominent? It is VERY subtle in the movie and even in that picture of the kitchen scene I posted yesterday. Don't get me wrong I love The Lost World almost as much as the first one but the Raptors were pretty dull in that movie... they just attacked what they saw and didn't really show any sign of intelligence. That's probably the only reason I would prefer a JP one. (I also highly doubt them making a set of LW and JPIII since the vast majority of people seem to not like them at all)
  16. What does everyone think the set will be? It looks like the rumor of that site turned out to be false with the set description... I REALLY hope that Raptor is suppost to be a JP one and not a Lost World one (they were by far the worst ones but they sadly look more like the one we saw). Maybe the set will really be of the three original movies. In that case I would be really disappointed since I am once again not a fan of these Raptors in any way shape or form. What do you people think?
  17. There are also more pictures of the new Dilophosaurus! It looks just like the one in the first movie! Maybe we'll get two sets I have no idea honestly
  18. Aww that's sad to hear you spend so much money to then get the info of an even more accurate Raptor
  19. I looked at the Kitchen Scene again but in the Jurassic Park 3D release and they look more like the one Lego gives us. The stripes on the tail are more clearly visible and they are more brown than grey. Here's a good filming picture that shows the dark brown parts of the Raptor. I guess they are not based on the wrong design after all
  20. I also guess the stud shooter is actually suppost to be the Spas-12 shotgun... but that still leaves me scratching my head on what Timmy is holding.
  21. This rumor seems to be true as it fits perfectly with the figures and the Raptor we have seen so far! Also a price point of 70$ would make sense for that. I guess not getting Ian Malcom is a bit of a letdown however
  22. There is a new rumor on the set that just popped up: I'll use the translation of the site as it is some other language: Rumor mill: classic LEGO Jurassic Park set coming up? By Michiel de Ruijter February 7, 2018 Rumors have appeared on the internet that LEGO will come not only with LEGO Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom sets in April, but also with a set based on the first Jurassic Park film. LEGO Jurassic Park There is not a lot of information about the set and the information we have is based on rumors. So take the information below with the necessary granules of salt. The LEGO Jurassic Park set is based on the control room and kitchen at the Visitor Center on Isla Nublar. The set would contain a portion of the Control Room and kitchen according to the rumors. The Minifigs in the set would be Alan Grant, Ellie Satler, Lex and Tim. As mentioned, little information is known about it. If the rumors are true then we are curious if LEGO has more sets in store that are based on the Jurassic Park films. There is plenty of inspiration from the films and dino's remain a very popular subject, especially in children. Jurassic Park is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year and it could well be that LEGO has come up with a special set for this, or the rumors are all true we will find out in the short term. The Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom sets are scheduled for release mid-April.
  23. I really looked at some Raptor pictures and the ones that look the most like the Lego version are actually the Lost World ones. Does that mean we will also get a set on that or that the designers messed up / liked the design more / just decided to make it look more appealing for kids?
  24. Well to be fair that was a prop that was built after the original animatronic. The ones used in the movie are far darker and more grey but I am pretty sure the designer just based the raptor off of that picture. It looks too much like it not to be
  25. Yeah I've seen that too many times already and it would really be odd to have a stud shooter in the set if it turns out to be a D2C as I think the only one to include a stud shooter so far is the UCS Hoth Attack set but considering that's like a giant playset it made sense to be in there.
