The Upside Down smiley is a reference to... well the upside down. They did the same when the original set was revealed last year. Though in this case I agree with Guyon that it's probably just a generic response
-
I will neither confirm nor deny that it happened
-
I have absolutely no clue how I missed this last year, but here's Justin Ramsden (the designer of the original set) posting a picture of Starcourt Mall on Twitter when he was talking about the awards the first set won. There's no doubt in my mind that was as hint - the timing would also be about right if he started working on it back then
-
I wouldn't be surprised if they're gonna make another D2C for the next season, but Starcourt Mall based off Season 3 makes much more sense than a S1 lab, especially since we already have all the main character costumes from that season aside from the teens
-
Thanks to @Falconfan1414 we know that the torso used for the teaser is just the CMF Birthday Boy one, which has yellow printing on the front. There's a good chance this is just to hype up the new trailer coming out soon, usually Lego wouldn't start teasing at an upcoming D2C until a week prior to reveal / release on the same day, so it'd be kinda odd that we haven't heard anything, not even a rumour about this until now

I never said it didn't happen sweetie

Damn, the Indominus looks so much better in person with the silver printing. Claire also looks like a snack, I might have to give her the Joyce treatment Overall this has to be one of the best Jurassic sets to date, I love it!
-
To me at least, the figures are equally as important as the dinosaurs, the films are not generic action blockbusters that are just about the dinosaurs ala Transformers, they mainly focus on the character - the dinosaurs are just a tool to drive the story
-
With the help of @Guyon2002 ❤️, I made a quick photoshop of the new claire with TLNM's Sensei Wu skirt inverted and put on backwards (you do still see a faint outline of the black line though) and Wizarding World's CMF Queenie legs to get a Claire with a skirt and high heel printing. I personally love it myself and will definitely use her like that (side view of the shoes, don't worry, the skirt covers up all blue parts)
-
I did choke on her, but I'm still around. I honestly got a bit disappointed with EB lately after everyone called me an idiot when I claimed Overwatch was canceled a few months back (look where we're at now, the set numbers are now used for HP), but oh well
-
The only thing that reminds me of is the remote controlled Batmobile from 2018

That's what I'm curious about. Everything sounds to be based off LoIN, except the biggest set. That sounds like it's pulled straight out of the first Jurassic World. Maybe it's just that one set to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the film?
-
Hm, that Owen doesn't seem to be based on the 2015 Jurassic World as many suspected though. Maybe all the sets apart from the big one are based on LoIN again? I haven't watched it myself, but I heard there's a possibility of another season. Another theory I have is that they replaced the ammo belt he has in the film with narcotic viles to make it more child friendly - they also gave Masrani a huge Jurassic World logo on the back of his suit in the 2015 wave, wouldn't be the first time they did something like that
-
I'm really looking forward to this wave, especially given it seems to be based off of Jurassic World from 2015! The animated series did give us some movie accurate dinosaurs, but I honestly couldn't have cared less for the figures and builds, as they're not part of the Jurassic World canon. I hope that the Indominus Rex has it's colours swapped this time around, being light blueish grey as it's primary colour with white scale printing - the one from 2015 was just too light for my liking. I'm also curious weather Claire will have her white outfit with short hair or if they're not gonna bother with making these sets that movie accurate.
-
I'm guessing that was a budgetary constraint, rather than a way to deviate the figure from the movie - they even went as far as printing the black lines that are on the side of Kiddo's legs in the film at the corners of the front of both legs, clearly also because of the limited budget
-
Yeah, but with that figure, there were enough inaccuracies that made it look like it could just have been a coincidence (lack of hair, the outfit has a weird pattern not present in the film, etc.) but this is straight up a 1:1 copy, I don't see any inaccuracies here
-
I'm really surprised that Lego pretty much gave us a 1:1 copy of the Bride's costume from Kill Bill in the gamer market set. It does have yellow skin showing, but I wouldn't have expected such a blatant reference to one of the most violent films of this generation to be featured in a Ninjago set aimed at younger fans Here's the comparison picture for anyone interested:
-
I never said the theme was cancelled, just those named sets we heard about
-
In Lego stores, yes. Not anywhere else though
-
Really loving all these new projects you're pumping out at the moment! I'm really hoping X-Files will reach 10k too, but I still have my doubts it'll be accepted due to that one episode that was rated TV-MA

As big of a chance as me marrying Margot Robbie

LEGO Star Wars 2019 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Puresh replied to Stash2Sixx's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I know I'm late on this discussion but I sadly think we won't see another RO or Solo set ever again. It's been three years since RO and we didn't get a single set since the first two waves, TFA had a few every now and then in later waves, one of which was even this year. Some people might argue that Vader's Castle is a RO set, but the inclusion of the blue marked Stormtrooper confirms it's based off of the VR experience that came out a while ago. I really hope I'm wrong with my theory, as RO is my absolute favourite film of the franchise but I stopped holding my breath for more, I guess the spinoffs are just gonna stay as "one and done" waves -

I couldn't agree more, how about we actually talk about the sets themselves, not this or battlepacks that will never happen anyways -
