I caved and bought the 75192 Millennium Falcon (on my credit card, whoops!) With the double points I got the Death Star Escape and a Tie Fighter (75211) for free, so not so bad I guess

I bought it yesterday at my local lego store (they had 3 left :P) Currently part way through building it, I kept getting distracted. The faces don't bother me, I usually swap them out anyway, so this has saved me some time. Now the place I put my modulars is full, I need to try and make room :P

Where to find cheaper LEGO City roadplates?
Fraden replied to Transparency for Effect's topic in LEGO Town
I use the cross/T-junctions as parking bays if I don't want them linked to another road- 26 replies

Not so much burn out, but I've pretty much bought the stuff I want now, but I can't help thinking I want more, more, more! (Even though I really don't have the room)

Sorry to bump an old topic, but am I weird for regretting that I've bought a set? I went to a store event, spent £100, and realised I didn't actually want half the stuff I bought. 2 of the sets are unopened, so I can return them, but I have one open/constructed set, and pick a brick stuff that I don't know what I'm going to do with.

So I now have a couple of modulars (pet shop and grand emporium) and I want to have a go at building my own..... I have an idea (well, a few) of what I want it to be, but I don't know where to start. Any tips?

Yeah, I was going to suggest John Lewis, usually have some for lower than the Lego store.- 26 replies

So, so far in my collection I have: 60017 - Flatbed Truck 60000 - Fire Motorcycle 4200 - Mining 4x4 60054 - Light Repair Truck 60001 - Fire Chiefs Car 60016 - Tanker Truck 60018 - Cement Truck 70811 - Flying Flusher (as the plumbers van) Got a couple of minifigs I can put in as townspeople I'm probably going to get 60002 (Fire Truck) tomorrow, and I'm going to get 70804 (Ice Cream Machine) next month. Might get the 60057 (Camper Van) and another set (maybe something like a garbage truck or something). I'm definately waiting until next month to spend £50 or more to get the Martian Manhunter fig :)

I'm not sure yet. I'm thinking a mixture. I do want the modular buildings, but I'm not sure if I can justify the price of them at the minute. I mainly have vehicles at the minute.
-
I'll take some pictures this weekend, though it's not much I have it's definitely a start. Already starting to plan some buildings, like a Mexican place, a coffee shop and an ice cream parlour :) (I have some Lego Movie minifigs to put to use)

Been on a bit of a spending spree and bought some vehicles for my town. (Well, for when I start building it.) Also dug out some of my minifigs I had lying about, now just need buildings. Do you want me to post a pic of what I have already?
-
What do you think will fit more into your city?
-
I plan to once I start building properly haha. Only thing is I have hardly any room in my apartment, so it will only be a small layout to begin with. Going to look for one of the creator houses tonight/tomorrow and then go from there. I do have a couple of vehicles I bought this weekend that I can use, and found my collection of old minifigs I had.

I love this. It's amazing. Got some ideas for my village if you don't mind?

Thanks for the feedback. I think I'm going to start with my own designs as I can't afford the modulars yet. What kinda size are they roughly so I can gauge it?

Hi, Long time lego fan, recently getting back into collecting (especially the DC sets) but I am thinking I want to start a town to put them in. The main thing is, where to start? Should I just go an make my own buildings (well, try to, I'm not that great a builder) Thanks

Thanks everyone. Sortof coming along with my MOC, well, when I say sortof, I've sorted my crew.
-
Coming back to lego, I currently have all my pieces in carrier bags, boxes, even a suitcase! I'm going to go buy some drawers etc so I can actually spend time sorting it out so I know exactly how much I have got.

How open are you about your Lego passion?
Fraden replied to Fugazi's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Well, I'm just getting back into lego after a bit of a hiatus. So far, my best mate knows and he's fine, a couple of work people know, one who is really interested and I'm trying to get helping me build a Moc. My significant other sortof knows, but not fully. -
Hi! I'm 26 and I'm a long time lego enthusiast :) I love the space and star wars themes, I think out of all Lego those are my favourites. Currently working on a MOC, going to be my first one. It's going to be set in space, already got some characters sorted but any tips/ideas etc appreciated. Hopefully see you soon!
