  1. "Lego marvels future will be defined in August 2020" - Falconfan I'm guessing this either means they're planning on ending the marvel line or they're planning to put more effort into the line. Judging by how Endgame has passed by, they don't really put much thought into the Marvel sets (often the builds were clearly made for Nexo Knights or past Marvel movies), Spider-Man sets are now branded under "Spider-Man" instead of "Marvel" and Marvel is never one of the top selling themes on the quarterly reports, I find the former likely.
  2. Cap looks great! Now the photos are actually clear, you can see how distinct it is from AoU Cap. This head with Hawkeye's torso to make Matt Fraction's Hawkeye. Thoughts?
  3. Starting to think Superman doesn't have an alternate face... I like Batmite having a long cape (fits with the whole "bad cosplay" aesthetic), but I don't like how it's the old material (even though I like the old material more). It'll just get damaged and bent.
  4. Didn't lego say no more exclusives at some point? I don't expect them to do it with the SDCC exclusive figures (not the ones in the sets like Vers, the ones that are just a minifigure by themself like Insomniac Spider-Man and Sheriff Deadpool), butI I'm hoping Maria's exclusive head shows up in a regular set or polybag or something too.
  5. Superman is better than expected. The shading works to make him distinct from other Supermen, and I'm beyond happy we finally are getting a laser vision face print that is pretty much the face he always pulls when he's using the power. I don't like Joker's hair. It doesn't fit that version of the character. At least it's the right colour? The rest is fine, nothing too special. I'm hoping for an alternate face with the right eye closed at the very least.
  6. Lex? I thought we were getting TDKR white suit Joker?
  7. Well there it is. The first slot I don't like. Of all of the Superman variants, why would they go for the one where the only real difference is that the belt is different? Oh well, I suppose we'll probably get the Spider-Man mark 4 legs with some printing on them at least.
  8. I know, but I was thinking the torso could be used for a "good enough" Unworthy Thor purist. Same quality as always is low quality. There are details missing that make several of the figures look incomplete, therefore several of the figures are low quality. I like Black Panther, because that design doesn't need that much additional detail, but Thor's arms are completely off, he's missing his boots as well as the detail on his legs. He's low quality.
  9. Thor's torso isn't entirely accurate to Unworthy Thor, but the cloak print makes it serviceable enough I guess. Could Arãna have been mistaken for Venom? AIM soldier has the same backpack piece as Yellowjacket, which implies some kind of build being attached to his back. Don't really like the arms, they clash quite a bit with the rest of the figure. Looks like the game character I guess, but nothing like comic book AIM soldiers so I can't say I'm too happy. The photo of Captain America is too low quality to really see anything that different about the torso when compared to other versions. Again with the disappointing lack of leg printing on Captain America minifigures. Nothing about the truck set, with 2 AIM soldiers, Cap and Hawkeye, is really blowing me away, I'll probably just end up bricklinking Cap's new head and leave it at that. If I didn't know better, the general low quality of figures and builds in the marvel line recently would suggest that Lego are trying to make Marvel sets so bad that they lose the license due to poor sales, and can therefore can stop making them.
  10. I was hoping for TLJ Rey's hair in a new colour. Shame.
  11. Called it. I'll add that some Superboy arms would go a long way to improving him too.
  12. Oh, hang on... is that really the AIM design they're going with? Come onnnnn! The comic design is amazing! It's perfect at showing their status as mad scientists! In the game there's barely any yellow and it looks nothing like a hazmat suit, instead it looks like a generic sci-fi shock trooper, or something from Fallout. It's nothing compared to these.
  13. The worst thing about Square Enix's Captain America is definitely the face, but since the Lego version has the Chris Evans face instead of Kevin Spacey's stunt double's face that doesn't appear to be too big of a problem. It's a bit too bulky for my tastes, but it's not bad.
  14. Haha I love it. These are definitely wacky on purpose, this movie is gonna be so James Gunn.
  15. Iron Man looks nice, almost custom minifigure quality. Does this mean that AIM's in-game appearance will be like the leaked head, because I really hope not. I'm still holding out against all hope for the cylinder head.
  16. False equivalence. The Joker is iconic, he's the arch enemy of Batman and has dozens of different takes on the character, from light to dark and everything in between. Deadpool however has always been edgy and adult. Even in kiddie oriented shows he's been pretty crude and violent (e.g. his appearance in Ultimate Spider-Man where he was trying to "un-alive" someone). Plus mainstream audiences only really know him from his R rated movies, unlike with the Joker, who they know from pretty much every DC piece of media ever.
  17. That better not be it for AIM helmets, not only is the visor the wrong colour and the grey breathing apparatus not present on the real design, but it's not even the iconic cylinder shape! Seriously, it needs some kind of helmet to go over it, but this being lego Marvel we're talking about, it's basically guaranteed they'll do nothing of the sort.
  18. So, uh, that Thanos fig. Assuming it's real... at least they bothered with leg printing? God it looks bad. I'm really hoping it's just a custom that people are posting about as if it's real.
  19. I agree that it will probably end up being someone more mainstream, like modern day Scarecrow, Mad Hatter or Deadshot (they said character introduced in golden age, not character based on golden age appearance (which is a shame because golden age Scarecrow is creepy and golden age Deadshot is incredibly different to modern Deadshot)), but there were a few more obscure ones on there that I thought they have a slight possibility of doing with the level of obscurity they're going for, such as Tweedledum or Tweedledee (with the intent to get 2 of the same figure, since they're identical anyway. Maybe an alternate head like with the cmf mime) or The Cavalier, both known from B:TBatB.
  20. Here's a pretty interesting list of potential characters the Batman villain could be.
  21. Bat-mite isn't really a nemesis though, nor is he a golden age character (1938-1956, he's from 1959). Mxyzptlk is more likely, and Luthor more likely still.
  22. I don't think anyone's considered Captain Marvel (DC) for the first one or Lex Luthor for the last one yet. Superman, if he is in this series, wouldn't have a nemesis in this series like others have, so it would track. Batman gets a random member of his rogues gallery (since his nemesis is on shelves at the minute), Wonder Woman her classic rival and Superman his classic rival (probably in the weird green trousers purple shirt outfit).
  23. I do get that I was wrong at this point, I don't need it explained again lol Thanks for correcting me though, the explanations were pretty interesting.
  24. Wonder Woman's invisible joysticks are supposedly not joysticks, but instead something they can put in an action pose with. I think it was even mentioned on this thread somewhere.
