  1. OoC: Which way did my compass point?
  2. "Go away dragon lord? Are they talking about the veteran?" Johon climbs a tree and looks down at the forest to see if he can find anything of interest, then checks his magic compass.
  3. I contribute 20 gold to the venom.
  4. OoC: Aww man, but I wanted to do parkour!
  5. "The blacksmith should be able to help us, probably get us some armor. I wonder if he would be able to make an upgrade with one of our weapons, maybe imbue that venom into one of our weapons to make is last more battles."
  6. "Elgar should buy the next most expensive thing with our money, then give it to the buyer." I give Elgar 49 GP so he can buy 1 Phoenix Essence (65*75%=49gp). And then take the phoenix essence. OoC: Unless Elgar refuses for some reason. "Hey sylph, don't mean to be picky, but I also believed that you were going to get me a phoenix essence after reviving you?"
  7. "Ugh. No map of the city layout. I still say we should try to do some building snooping, figure out what their plans are."
  8. Johon, not used to this style, purchases some of the potions. 1X Phoenix Essence – Revives a fallen ally with full health during a battle. Costs 65 gold. 2X Mead - Causes the encouraged-effect, doubling the target's attack power for the duration of one battle. Costs 20 gold. 2X Smelling Salts - Causes the hastened-effect, allowing the target to act twice in one round for the duration of one battle. Costs 30 gold. 3X Nostrum - Causes the lucky-effect, allowing the target to roll the battle die twice and get the better result of the two for the duration of one battle. Costs 40 gold. 1X Trial Brew: Halves the drinkers max HP, max ether, and max SP for the duration of one battle. These effects are irremediable. Surviving a battle without getting knocked out in this state nets you double EXP. Being revived after being knocked-out removes these effects. Costs 80 gold. cost: 65+40(20*2)*60(30*2)+120(40*3)+60(80*.75)=345 *Trial brew first* gold left: 587-345=242 "So, do any of you guys know where we could find a city map?"
  9. OoC: Do we each get 25% off our first purchase or just 25% off the first item period?
  10. "Oh yeah, good Idea."
  11. In the shopping spree, Johon addresses the party. "We need to form a plan to find out where the Proggs are and what we can use as their weaknesses in the surroundings." Johon chuckles. "We need to be sneaky. Does anyone here have a layout of the buildings in this city?" The other party members questionably look at Johon. "Don't worry, I have a plan." OoC: For some reason I really want to do some parkour building movement.
  12. "Why would they do that?"
  13. OoC: Oh, ok, you didn't specify. "Hey shaun, I don't know, but I was just thinking, Can you safely combine potions? For example, could you make a new potion that combined the effects of mead, nostrum, and smelling salts? of course it'd be very difficult to seperate them, but it'd be like an emergency back-up."
  14. I just wanted to throw some ideas into the building of quests here. So if any quest host wants to use these or incorporate them, be my guest. Quest ~ Fort related length ~ MedLong - Long - Enemy grounds, heroes have to establish HQ - Heroes have to spy around, find way to break into enemy base - Find weaknesses in fort, find out enemy plans - Build war machines, use different tactics to attack Quest ~ Sneaky Length ~ short - Heroes have to infiltrate a gang base stealing goods from civilians, pose as gangsters to get inside info - Heroes have to chase down one of leaders who poses as a mayor, have to dodge guards and use parkour (use maps so heroes can decide course of action) to get from building to building so they can capture 'mayor' without being spotted.
  15. OoC: trail brew is 80, not 60. Anyways we should buy the trial brew first.
  16. OoC: Does he have a certain stock for each item? "About how soon do you think we will run out of supplies?"
  17. "Wouldn't you consider this a completely non-normal situation. Without us, this city and everything in it barely stands a chance. Can't you lower it?"
  18. "I don't exactly know." Johon says, thinking back to the day it all happened. His memory was vague at best, but suddenly he remembers. He understands. Trying to fit it all together into words, he explains. "800 years ago, when my home was attacked, my parents knew what was going to happen. They knew they would not survive, but they wanted to do everything they could to prevent the inevitable future. They gave me this." Johon says, holding the small platonic sphere on his necklace. "It is my destiny. It took me away, but saved my life. It knew the future, as I said, it is my destiny. I don't know how it knew but it transported me through time because of something. Maybe it knew that this would be the time I could make a difference. But I want to follow it, where I don't yet know." Johon looks back at the necklace and sighs. "That is why I couldn't remember. But there was a purpose. It wanted me to learn early hand, not to rush in and get myself killed at be reckless." Johon looks downward and starts to walk. "Come on. Let's go win the war, not just the battle."
  19. Johon lifts his sword above his head and prepares to kill death itself. But doesn't. Instead he stands motionless and a tear rolls down his cheek. "I... I, I don't want to kill anyone. It's different to kill someone and to let them know that it will occur." "You really are weak. More weak than any of your 'heroes' at that Heroica. You are all weak... ...but you, you can't bring yourself to kill me? You can't avenge your parents, your home, your organization." "I am not weak, I am empathic." Johon's grip tightens. "But this has gone too far. You have killed countless innocents, including my parents. This ends today." Johon slashes his sword downward into Rhodus, aiming for his Ether-core heart (I guess that's what it would be).
  20. OoC: Sorry I haven't been able to post recently, I have a lot of work piling up and haven't had much time for EB. "We are going to have to leave, we need more supplies and strategy."
  21. Johon steps back from his attack that did a fraction better than nothing. He looks around at the group, finding Sylph still unconscious and Lycan gone... "We need to retreat. We need supplies and a plan to catch him in a weakened state."
  22. Johon quickly extracts his Phoenix essence from his belongings and revives Sylph with it.
  23. OoC: Why am I so unlucky? I follow through with the plan.
  24. OoC: We aren't attacked by the fakes correct? "Lycan, throw your fire-bomb so we know which is real and which is fake!"
  25. "I don't mean to sound greedy, but we could use all the help we can get, especially potions and brews would be very helpful."
