The Warman competition is an Australian competition entered by lots of mechanical engineer students. Some of you from Aus may of heard of it. Here are some photos i thought I'd share of the model i built. The arms on the front hold a 150g baton, and drop it into a tray on another (non Lego) robot. As you can see it isn't the best creation ever built! I had to limit it to size and weight constraints. Time was also a decisive factor in the build. For the competition, you can see of it in action.

I have just finished making a Robot using Mindstorms NXT for my mechanical engineering degree. It worked perfectly!

i don't consider them similar moves. even the British commentators mentioned Hamilton was pushing his luck with the stewards. He will continue to get punished if he drives like this. As for the Webber incident, it was towards the end of the race, when Webber caught Hamilton at the first corner. Hamilton probably didn't see Webber in his mirrors, hence pushing him off the track.

What an amazing race indeed! Congrats to Vettel, who will definitely be a star in years to come. I didn't think i could dislike Hamilton more than i already do, however watching him race.. that block on Webber was horrible. Just pushed him off the track, even though Webber had the racing line. There was also a move on a Toyota (forget which one) that was bad, where Hamilton ran him off the road... No wonder none of the drivers are sympathetic to Hamilton's forthcoming case hearing..

another formula 1 race, another controversy! and again, involving Hamilton... i thought that the penalty was fair, after re-watching the incident on youtube. Hamilton gained because of cutting the chicane, therefore equalling a drive through penalty (or 25 seconds as the race was finished). its never nice seeing the race results change after the checkered flag though. when Heikki hit Webber i was so pissed!

i'm still yet to see them in Australia...

didn't Hamilton go side by side with someone down the pit straight last year? i seem to remember mechanics jumping out of the way... no penalty there its the bottle neck at the end of the pits that is dangerous

so what did everyone think of this circuit? personally, i thought it was a pretty boring race... the only drama was ferrari really. oh and maybe Coulthard doing his usual, trying to take out people. I felt sorry for Alonso, going out so quickly.. cars seemed to spread out very quickly, after only a few laps 8th was about 30 secs behind, must be the slow corners. congrats Massa!

I felt so bad for Massa, he drove so well the entire race.. I'm still not impressed by Heikki, he only won because of Massa & Hamilton's problems, although you take what you get i suppose

Loved the Spanish GP, it had it all! I'm from Australia, so you can imagine i'm pretty happy with Mark Webber this year. 3 points finishes! When i saw Heikki in the tyre wall, i was pretty scared for him. so glad he's escaped major injury.
