Thanks for those kind words. Stickers were created in cooperation with Ultimate Collector Stickers. They do indeed make a difference - especially regarding the wheels. Credits to UCS for great job on the design.

Thank you guys. Glad to read that :) -
Thx. Yes indeed - the wheels are customized with dedicated stickers - designed and available at Ultimate Collector Stickers here.

Now that we got Jesko Speed Champions windscreen with white patterns, it's time for Ferrari Testarossa Miami Vice white. I've build this MOC earlier this year in classic red. Now, apart from new color, there are also new details (one mirror, wider front blinkers) to match the original Testarossa driven by Sonny Crockett and Rico Tubbs. White stickers on the windscreen and sides of the rear blinkers are cut out of used original LEGO sticker sheet. I've refreshed instructions hopefully to get better a building experience - available at rebrickable. Testarossa crowns my work on Ferrari classics from the 80s. I’ve found building cars in 8 studs wide Speed Champions style very pleasing and although I am definitely saying goodbye to the Ferrari brand for a while, I will definitely stay on this topic. This model counts 327 parts. Thx! Tried some of them - still think my choice is optimal. And I never put tiles in clips - prefer purely legal techniques.

Thank you everyone - glad you like it. There is always room for improvement - those mirros should indeed be higher but I just could not find any acceptable solution. If you have one - give me a hint ;) Thanks a lot! That’s indeed very important in this scale. Even though 8 studs wide size compared to 6 gave so much more room for modelling, Speed Champions „scale” is still a challenge to model all proportions and sizes ideally. Thus capturing „the spirit” is so crucial.

[MOD] [MOC] Lambda-class Imperial Shuttle - 75094 Tydirium based
barneius replied to barneius's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thank you. I haven't designed instructions for this MOC yet I'm thinking about it seriously because many people ask about it recently. If I manage to create instructions it would be available at at my profile at rebrickable. Can't promise anything but stay tuned ;) -
Ferrari 288 GTO is a classic model debuted in 1984 at Geneva Motor Show and was produced in number of only 277 until 1987. With its four square driving lights under the nose it is one of the most characteristic supercars of the 80’s. This is my second Speed Champions 8 studs wide style model. 359 pieces solid build to fit official theme. If you would like to have it in your collection, instructions are available at rebrickable: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-62943/barneius/ferrari-288-gto/#details LEGO Ferrari 288 GTO MOC by barneius, on Flickr LEGO Ferrari 288 GTO MOC by barneius, on Flickr LEGO Ferrari 288 GTO MOC by barneius, on Flickr LEGO Ferrari 288 GTO MOC by barneius, on Flickr LEGO Ferrari 288 GTO MOC by barneius, on Flickr LEGO Ferrari 288 GTO MOC by barneius, on Flickr LEGO Ferrari 288 GTO MOC by barneius, on Flickr LEGO Ferrari 288 GTO MOC by barneius, on Flickr LEGO Ferrari 288 GTO MOC by barneius, on Flickr

Thank you guys! I'm really glad you like it. Vast majority of people treat this vehicle as the ugliest, most boring and simply not interesting at all. Even though it's definitely one of the least popular Star Wars vehicles I've decided to build it in LEGO because I just love how massive it is and wanted to have it on my shelf side to side with Han's M-68. Besides it may look just like two connected round boxes form a distance, yet if you look closer you may see that this speeder is full of details, different shapes and overlapping surfaces. Capturing all of them in LEGO form was both challenging and pleasing. And it took months :D Therefore I'm very pleased I'm not the only one to like the vehicle. And @BigButtah I'm so satisfied you like (and have!) the finished model.

Thanks again. Glad you like it :)

Thank you all - glad you like it. This will have to wait until I buy parts borrowed from F8 Tributo for my F40.

I've always liked Speed Champions theme, but never bought any set until they've switched to 8 studs wide. The new scale gave the ability to design so much better models. Once I've bought F8 Tributo set, I knew I was going to build the supercar of my childhood - Ferrari F40 in this scale. And here it is - 368 pieces 8 studs wide Speed Champions style model of Ferrari F40 - one of the most iconic and most recognizable supercars ever. It is my debut in this scale and it is the first car I've built. PDF step-by-step instructions available at rebrickable. Trast Heavy Transports A-A4B landspeeder MOC. A short-haul reinforced cargo speeder known for it’s powerful and noisy Magna Drive engine. Gangster Moloch used his modified A-A4B to chase young Han Solo and Qi’ra during the spectacular opening scene in „Solo: A Star Wars Story”. Over 2.800 pieces; 36 suds long and 26 studs wide. Hovers on four almost not visible clear wheels. Detailed body and cockpit. Opening cargo box with 3 passenger seats and cargo area. Scaled to fit my Mobquet M-68 MOC. PDF step-by-step instructions available at Rebrickable here. More pics on my flickr. [MOC] Mobquet M-68 landspeeder (Han Solo speeder)

I use shadeless tent, old Sony compact camera on a tripod and than I edit pics with standard editing soft. Yet I’m 100% amateur. Thank you :) -
[MOC] Mobquet M-68 landspeeder (Han Solo speeder)
barneius replied to barneius's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thank you all for positive feedback. If it was in bigger scale i would definitely consider leaving some studs on but in this size I prefer studless design. I never considered going bigger. The aim was to finish not exceeding some 1000 parts. I wanted, let’s say, LEGO Creator Expert scale. When deciding on scale I thought of all the crucial shapes and details and I was pretty sure I would be able to pull them in such a scale. It is exactly the way you wrote - there is much more work with asymetrical vehicle, yet it gives you much joy. I loved those moments during the designing process, when I was pretty confused on where exactly the center lines of the build are :) And I never had a Mustang (yet) ;) -
Mobquet M-68 landspeeder MOC. Corellian speeder driven by young Han Solo during the spectacular chase with Moloch. 853 pieces; 30 studs long and 16 studs wide (excluding the wing); 1:16 scale. Hovers on four almost not visible technic anti-gravity clear wheels. Detailed body and cockpit. It was a very fun and enjoyable building process because of the asymmetry of the craft. There are planty of photos from the production of the movie and there is this great chase movie scene with different close-ups of the speeder, so it was'n hard to get the proportions and spot the details.
